blend MIUI speed porting? i was getting an error when trying to do it and posted on the thread and no one helped me and emailed the thread creator with no reply
hi,
this kernel would be great.
the previous one didn't have bluetooth.
with this kernel we can port miui v4 (dhd build)
The previous one didn't have bluetooth? strange, works for me...
EDIT:
going to ask the dev for kernel source code, getting graphical glitches.
nope.
not for me and many others.
---------- Post added at 07:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:48 PM ----------
when would it be released??
Hey Keiran are you also taking a look to the rom and maybe fixing some bugs? I remember bluetooth and touchpads not working in BMSPS...

Bluetooth might be an easy fix, not quite sure though, think it is more ROM related than kernel related, might have something to do with the firmware.
Touchpads though, I do not think that I can fix this. MIUI is closed source.
If I remember correctly, the DHD has a different bluetooth chipset, so, we will see
Keiran
hi,
i thought dooms miui kernel is based upon cm7?
when he made it cm7 had no bluetooth and touchpads
he said it is the kernel (same as touchpads) if this one is based upon new cm7 kernel bluetooth and touchpads would work

DooMLoRD made an MIUI kernel?
EDIT: ah **** - I was using semc not fxp sources xD
yes he did.
look in the blendmiui thread (don't know wich page)
Nick
Just made my first MIUI kernel, release comes tomorrow.
Bluetooth still doesn't work but I think that is ROM related.
1.6GHz OC on MIUI is amazing.

I want test this Kernel, good work Paul.
im tested on on sonystyle (wifi not work)
First of all, thank you for your work!
But it doesn't work for me, don't know why. I flash it flawlessly but after in CWM5 I can do nothing because it can't mount cache, data, system.
"E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log" and similar error messages.
And even android doesn't come in, I stuck at the logo.
Any ideas?
Edit: Forgot the mention: I come from Zombie Panic, but also tried to flash the original kernel and then this, but same problem.
cant wait to try. in the future maybe integrate oc? (I remember you said dont prefer oc)
im try again
Thx a lot Paul, I ll test this in futures releases, it looks like a few bugs yet!

Do you suggest I move from your MiniCM7 Pro v17 to your SonyStyle De-brand Engine (because you said that the SonyStyle one includes all the features of your MiniCM7 Pro rom) ??
Is WiFi 100% fully working in your SonyStyle rom, and do we get to keep our WiFi MAC address which each of our phones originally shipped with?
Also, I am on your MiniCM7 Pro v17 rom - still on the 2.1.1.A.0.6 stock SE kernel, so how would I move to this kernel and use your SonyStyle rom?
Thanks so much paul-xxx !
nightwing369
1) from minicm framework and so on, from sonystyle only design and so on
2) work fine mac adress corectly
3) sonystyle only for 2.1.1.A.0.6

comfirm work with fxp145 :good::good: wifi also work!! thx man...will test it more...
just flashed, testing in progress with PACman ROM...
edit// after flashing provided wifi modules, only 2 files left in /system/lib/modules and wifi is not working of course. Are you sure that only those 2 files are enough to get wifi working with your kernel?
... after copying missing modules, wifi not working either. Back to PAC kernel, but looking forward for fix, Fly kernel on ICS was excellent
I'm wondering if HFS+ file system support is possible. If yes, would it be difficult to include that for us mac users?
Tested on MIUI JB which is based on CM10 (FXP i think). Wifi doesnt work here too.
Is recovery glitch fixed?
recovery glitch is not fixed, but it's not a big deal

Wifi does work on FXP145. Its suppossed to have 2 modules in modules folder. The others are included in kernel. They made that change last week. So i figure pacman doesnt yet work like this and you need to wait till he updates with fxp145 sources. (or higher)

Can the modules get ported or are there specific modules needed even for that?
Yes, it is possible to use some kernels from aosp ics roms, for example i tried the kernels from texasice and bcm roms, and it boots... it also has better performance. The problem is that the kernel wont interact with modules we need, and because of that wifi doesnt work, bt etc. We dont need 3.0 kernel for these things to work. Modules can be ported, there are lines which have to be modified... im searching, reading, learning for now. But i need feedbacks... try the rom, tell me what you think... it may help, and help is needed.

The Desire has similar, if not, identical specs to the Nexus One, so it would make sense (no pun intended) to port this ROM to the N1.

Good news, thanks for that.
Check this post for how to check DRM status: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52990972&postcount=3
Widevine and CKB are OK, there is nothing more on my phone.
So may I assume that your DRM fix is working?

Yes, that sounds like it's working just fine
After few hour of testing and normal phone usage I can report that there is no issues at all
I hope it will stay that way
Looks intresting. What features are you planning to add next?

I remember looking into this before when working the x compact and decided it doesn't work like that. I can't recall the exact reason.
Would it be possible to include OC/UC control as well as .kcal support?
Thanks!

I'm a little nervous about adding OC support to the X compact and X. On the X compact, the phone already overheats when under heavy load. That doesn't make a good case for overclocking on these devices for very little gain in real world performance.
I'll look into adding KCAL support.
Has anyone played with undervoltage? I have very little experience with the SD650 running under a custom kernel.
KCAL would be nice.
OC? I don't think so, X gets pretty hot when used as a video call device or while heavy gaming.
It would be better to add UC or give us a chance to modify some voltages for better battery life and less heat.
After all there is no error on my phone, Magisk work perfect, more advanced functions are working perfectly fine with your kernel.
Some undervoltage recommended?
On another phones like Nexus 5 with ElementalX Kernel , SoC works fine using 750mah with [email protected],4/2,5Ghz (Yeah, Overheating is there), and [email protected],1/1,6GHz and 730mah...
Curiously, with their Kernel App UI, you could make another type of Undervolting or force the SoC to other low frequencies... And when you try to install Higher Frequencies installing the kernel, the phone is locked later on Splashlogo/Bootlogo (For Voltage fault, I guess).
I think that you could some similar Kernel for this... And if you think put OC option remember the Overheat and some method for a cooler
- Send from my Oven Xperia X (Bye paint, hallo Aluminium back cover :3).

One of the features I have added for the next release is undervolting - see here.
I'm updating the list as I go.

Any ETA for new version of your kernel?
After one week of testing I can tell one thing - everything is rock stable
HEY ALL I HOPE YOU ARE FINE HERE !!!

Awesome
thanks for the kernel brother
Awesome kernel bro with good performance without models
Can you please add some tuning for better internet support and lesser ping in online games so this would be pretty effective for gamers also
After testing many kernels I have to say this one works the best on my fts screen. No lags, no freezings (even with gpu 820mhz and 65hz oc together). I'm on Android 10 Pixel Experience and the experience just got much better, everything seems to run so smooth...
Congratulations and thanks for your work! Sure I will keep an eye on your progress even you made it already shine.

it's pretty stable btw.
don't need too frequent updates without major changes and fixes.
Thanks dev for spectrum support its always good to set kernel according to required needs
What does this kernel offer that all others dont? Damn xda is getting real bloated now with almost identical kernels.

What u want with this kernel ? Brother xda is for developers and if they do something they can post it on xda. Always try to appreciate other work they are doing it for free. And every kernel work different with different users because everyone using desired roms and mod. So if u want to install it than try or just leave.
using gaming mode via spectrum with 66 Hz version I noticed cpu temps are really nice just under 50°C while playing Cod and pubg without any fps drops while on any kernel it always above 60°C .
Just curious to know what magic is this.
It would be great if Dev can explain just a bit what tweak is this.
better touch responses over twisted
better battery life over optimus drunk
reletively faster 4g connectivity
using it for last two days
#Impressive
I'm on stock miui 11 with optimus drunk kernel. I want to try this kernel. But what rom do i need to flash as in the instructrion?

First Flash stock kernel then flash this kernel.
If you have backup. If you don't have then flash the rom again and flash kernel
Will this work on latest miui global Q version?

Im just saying that lately there are so many roms and kernels that are 100% identical but with a different name.
