i want to cook roms for my gnote for my use only and i want to find some nice and step by step guides if it is possible because i dont know anything from developing ..

I have been on the xda-developers for quite long time now..
I have been flashing my prophet with new ROM every now and than.But I have always wished tht I cud make my own ROM.
I did as much reading on the forum as i can ...bt I have not found any cook book with the tools which can Guide me step by step to make a ROM.
I have already installed the HYPERCORE and NEOKit bt i fail to even complete even 15%.
I am not a program writer nor a computer engineer by any means but yes I can assure you that I have passion for learning and will definetly b able to cook my own ROM all I need is some help and guidence.
Can my dear friends give me a guide with a good tool to start with..
PS.I know there are many more like me and making this thread sticky will just flow the thread by new ROM every 15mim by some rookie like me..lol

we have a phone called "HTC rider model X515e".
we could not found any custom roms for it. In google we find most of chinese sites but it was difficult to understand.
Any experts here who can guide us to find a custom rom and guide that will suit us.
we have some how managed to root our device.
Any help mates?

If you guys have rooted it then you should also be able to port a Rom as well. There are guides to porting generic Roms, as well as specific guides for CM7/9/10 and certain versions of MIUI.

You can try this one, but there are others as well if you need them. Odds are you guys will have to put in the work yourselves because if it's not a popular phone devs aren't going to take the time to do a one-off port. That said, if you do it yourself you'll learn a lot and be able to bring over any Rom you like.

For a start learn to root your phone..... install CWM and learn to use that too...
See how other people ended up bricking their phone..... so that you can avoid it..
There are many forums that can teach you to build a ROM....
