ICS is still buggy, Flash back to GB. You would be much better off.

Sounds like it could be hardware problem, especially since its over multiple roms...
Re-stock and return for replacement or refund if still in warranty would be my advice...

i have wanamlite too...
i think that wanamlite 7.2 hasn't got this problem.
Did you flash wanamlite 7.2?

I have tried so many roms its not funny
It wouldnt have anything to do with the kernel would it, im jus trying to under stand what part of the rom / kernel controls the touch screen drivers?
I really dont want to return the phone as this is a major pain in the a$$

[Q] freezes! help pleaseee

Hi everyone, I've been having serious problems and if anyone can help me I'd love you forever. I got a rezound a week ago and loved it. I decided to root and rom it and afterwards my screenwould randomly freeze. I tried every GB rom and no matter which rom I was on it would freeze
I thought maybe my phone was defective so I returned my phone and got a brand.new.resound. once I installed.inef on my new phone it started freezing again. No apps loaded just stock inef. Could it be my sim card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it an actual freeze or is Sense crashing? I saw that a lot when I still had a ROM with Sense. If you're hitting home but not going anywhere then that's probably the case. No real cure for it other than to try unlocking and tossing another ROM on. You could also have something wrong with your SD. Pull that out for a while and see if the freezing/crashing still occurs.
You said no apps loaded so I assume you didn't restore any data from another phone either?
I've been running Ineffabilis for a month now without that issue so it shouldn't be the ROM. What happens after the freeze? Do you have to reboot or does it go away? (I don't know why I'm asking that cuz I don't know how to fix it no matter what your answer! But I like pondering and the more info the better for when someone more knowledgeable comes by.)
You could also try flashing a different kernel and see if that helps. I just put on AnthraX and it's running nice and smooth.
MrSmith (that feels so formal after all these months, I might have to call you Smitty now ), or anyone else... would there be an error log generated somewhere that could be looked at?

I think the problem is in the kernel and not the rom. I had issues with gingerbread rom/kernel combinations. What are you using to control your CPU? Just making sure you aren't using more than one app, but since you didn't mention that you may not be adjusting clock speed at all.
I would recommend flashing an ICS leak and Sebastians modified kernel and seeing how that does. It's not as stable as an OTA but I don't see problems with random reboots and freezes on ICS even when overclocked to 1.7.
Hi guys thanks for the replys. Its not the kernel or rom because I've tried every gb kernel and every gb rom and my problem still persists. And I've swapped out dif SD.cards as well so I'm really scratching my head lol. Could it be the sim card? I think it needs to be hardware related but my last resound had the same issue but the sim is the same. And when it freezes I mean the screen just stops updating. You can press the buttons but the screen will stay frozen until a battery pull. Thanks!
maybe go get a new phone if u say u have tried all those things?

Yeah, see about getting a new SIM from Verizon then and see if that works since that's the only constant.
Just got a brand new rezound yesterday.. returned my last rezound for the same issue but they used my old sim. Idk what could be causing it
Make them give you a new SIM.

Yea Ill pick one up tonight and update the thread. Hopefully that's the problem. Thanks for the suggestions fera
Didn't solve my problem.. I'm really out of ideas at this point and its so frustrating BC the phone is sick
I would try running the RUU and bring it back to stock and see what happens.
Yes I would also recommend relocking and installing the latest RUU and see what it does. If it persists you will be stock unrooted and should be able to have them replace it under warranty.

I actually think the cause of my lockups were due to some buil.prop edits. Does anyone have the debug.sf.hw=1 gpu tweak in their rom? And if so are you experiencing any lockups? I ahve used the RUU and everything was fine but all these roms look to yummy to stay away from lol

[Q] random reboots...

hey guys, im having this issue with random reboots. been rooting since the eris, then dinc, now thunderbolt. now with the tbolt, i bought it around the beginning of the year and now its becoming more and more frequent these random reboots. it happens with every rom ive tried (XDABolt, killasense, thundershed's cm7, now GBR 3.3).
i thought it might of been the base i was using, but now i dont think it was cuz it seems to have happened again on the newest one (.19). the only thing that seems to be constant is this happens while the phone is in my pocket, and USUALLY when im moving around a lot, lots of heat/leg sweat. i actually hope that this is just a heating issue cuz then i at least know that its my own user fault, but i dont know for sure.
i dunno if a last_kmsg will help seeing if this is the case, but i was hoping someone more knowledgeable on these logs could help out?

also im currently running GBR 3.3 w/ stock kernel.
EDIT: O also i am currently using the oem extended from verizon, but this also happens w/ stock battery as well

Touch Screen Issue HTC Incredible & Custom Roms

Okay so this is my first post on XDA and I hope it's in the right section. Anyways I bought an HTC Incredible off a collegue of mine about two weeks ago. I got the phone and immediately rooted and installed a custom rom (MIUIv4 to be exact) I noticed after a lil while that the touch screen would randomly go berserk clicking things, calling people, etc (usually right after turning screen on) When the screen starts doing it I'd turn it off and back on and it would be completely fine. I thought to myself "maybe it's just a problem with MIUI and installed PONS CM7. I still had the same issue. Now whats strange about all of this is if I'm running an RUU or Stock based rom the screen NEVER acts up. I've read on several forums that this is a hardware issue but most people still experience it on stock roms, this is not the case with me. I won't deny that it could be a hardware issue, but it's an issue that can be solved with kerenl/dirvers/software. I'm wondering if I can use the drivers and software from a stock based rom to combat the issue and make custom roms run like they are supposed to. In all of my research I found this link which seems to be pretty promising but I don't know where to begin with it. Unfortuneately I can't post a link until I've posted 8 times, uuugh.
Edit: It seems the longer I run a custom rom the more frequently the issue happens.
If anybody is intrested in helping it would be greatly appreciated. I've been racking my head for over a week on this one. You can look up the blog I read on google. It looks like it could solve my problem.

Constant Phone issues on ALL JB ROMS

On every Jellybean rom, I have calling issues. On some roms, call audio wont work. On the rom I just flashed, it would not make or receive calls all together. Also, this happens only after a certain period of time. And it goes from sporadic occurances to permanent. It takes about a day or two for these issues to start appearing. This is so god damn frustrating because in the beginning the rom works perfectly, I spend all my time setting it up, and then a day or so later, I get these issues that make the phone completely unusable. Its absolutely ridiculous, and If anyone has any ideas, please please let me know. I love the JB roms but they all seem to make my phone unusable after a short time.
Please help....
JB roms are still a work in progress. And your problems could be caused/made worse by your setup (apps, widgets, tweaks, etc...). If you are using different kernels/radio, it can also contribute to problems. There are just too many variables.
My answer : use an ICS rom. ICS roms are alot more stable on our phone right now.

I am observing similar issues. I didn't used to happen before. I mean it did happen but it was a rare thing. But now it is more often. Almost everyday I have to reflash because of loosing phone audio.
I was rocking AOCP 3.1 , Worked really sweet and then decided to update to go for AOCP 4.1 and since then no rom that I tried have saved me. In fact I had to revert back to stock. What rom are you using?
People, it's a known issue on all JB Roms.
Don't open a thread about it.

I have the exact same issue now, It doesnt look like any rom is saving me right now.. my phone wont make calls or receive texts at all. I was running cookies and cream 4.1.2 and everytime i flash a JB rom it just seems to get worse and worse...
EDIT: I got it back on ICS. I guess I will just have to wait to use any JB roms... its unfortunate cause I love the JB roms hahaha
I have had issues with JB as well. I, just like the OP, would experience a perfectly working phone for a day or two then **** would hit the fan for no apparent reason. The phone would start locking up, randomly rebooting, apps would fail or not load, etc etc etc.
On most ROM's I didn't even have anything installed outside of the stock apps that CAME with the ROM.
Since then I have moved to a deoxed stock ICS ROM and honestly am not looking back. ICS is fast, stable, feature packed, and JUST WORKS.
My thing with JB was it's speed...but I was also comparing a barebones JB to the stock Gingerbread that came with the phone. I wasn't aware of how fast ICS was or I would have just gone with it long before hand!
But yeah, either way it goes, for me, no matter the ROM, JB always seemed to mess up at one point or another. Got annoying. Been going with ICS for over a week now with ZERO issues what so ever. No reboots, no crashes, no freezing, no nothing.
NEVERMIND..... ICS worked for one call, and now no calls work... great....
ICS roms are very stable.
You may have flashed your rom/kernel/radio incorrectly, or made some tweaks, or installed incompatible apps... There are too many variables.
Revert back to completely stock setup and see if the problems persist.

I'll take a stab, what gapps? Do you use a call blocker of any kind?

Same. I think it's the same for a lot of people, and I think the ones who say things run great either ignore the problems or are just extremely lucky.
Switch to Padawan. It's rock solid and you get all the fanciness of jelly bean. Since switching to it I've completely lost the itch to try out random JB ROMs. I have cool animations, Google Now, and ICS Browser+. And until I rebooted earlier to mess with stuff, I was at 142 hours uptime without any problems.
I'm not calling anyone a liar, though. I just think some people ignore more or are, as stated, lucky. I've done wiped everything, went back and wiped stuff post ROM, ran 3rd party (3rd ROM party) kernels and the ones that come with it. I've set cron to fix permissions on boot. And other than gapps -- which I always flash what the dev says to -- I run about ten 3rd party apps, and that's mostly made up of solid apps -- dropbox, exdialer, ics browser+.. etc..
Padawan, or even Nebula.
These ROMs are by the same dev, and the only difference is that Nebula is based off of Canadian version, which has even less bloat. It is better than stock.
I have been on Nebula for about a week, and no random reboots, no lockup, no phone problems. Everything just works.

I like padawan, and Im on it now. But i still am getting this random issue where calls do not go through. Its so aggravating that Im about to smash my phone against the wall. Its happening all the time now and when I need to make a call, I cant. god damnit
have you flashed the most recent modem?
Yes, that was my next question.
Have you at any point flashed a different kernel/radio/modem? If you have, or if you do not know, search for stock kernel/radio/modem and flash them to see if it helps.
yes, uclf6 modem but eventually it just gives out.. idk what the issue is here everything works fine for a few days and out of the blue when I need my phone i cant receive or make calls anymore its INFURIATING

Revert back to complete stock and see if the issue still exists.

I have had a similar issue with the JB rom's...so far I've tried only two and seem to find the aokp_quicyatt_jb_milestone-1 rom. I have noticed issues with my phone and LTE network coverage...meaning, I can see the signal go from 4G LTE to 3G to H, then gone...I looked at the phone status settings and noticed the mobile network type with this rom is LTE:13 and with the stock ICS rom (prior to rooting and flashing) it was LTE:14...is there a way that I can change it via terminal? Thank you in advance for any help on this. The one big difference I can see so far is the battery life...much better. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Issues are known....Thread Closed & Thank You.

I had the exact same problem the other day. Screen going crazy, recovery working fine.
Long story short - it's the digitizer. My phone is coming back to me from service today
