recovery password after multiple failed attempts on pattern unlock - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys.
A friend of mine tried to unlock my phone and made multiple failed attempts and choose some option which now have resulted in the phone being BLOCKED. it is not showing the "normally available option" of logging in via the gmail account. It is asking for a recovery password. I have no idea what that password is as i never set such a password. I have tried all my accounts on the phone. i tried 0000 and 00000000 aswell for the default passwords but of no avail. The screen shows "Recovery password required to unblock phone".
When i give a wrong password it says "Incorrect recovery password. All data will be wiped in line with security policy". As i dont want to do this i turn off my phone and upon restarting it this happens again. I tried removing the battery for sometime.Keeping the phone turned off etc but nothing positive.
Any suggestions on a workaround or what might the password be?

PS: u also kann try 1234 1235 o kind of it.... but dunno what happend if to often typed... maybe u really loose data so better have a look first or call provider, maybe the service can help

This is the exact same setup as a stolen phone will show . So best advice is return the phone to the network/phone supplier who should be able to reset on evidence of purchase .
Incorrect recovery password. All data will be wiped in line with security policy
Means a security policy has been set up by the owner of the phone .
In case of a stolen phone or such symptoms XDA cannot get involved in workarounds that may be illegal .

Guys its my own phone no stolen thing. it is not on a network. The guy was trying to unlock it and made too many tries with it.
Regarding the policy, i did have my exchange account setuped on the phone which required the pattern lock in the first place. May it had such a policy but i am not aware of that. So any wild ideas?

Regarding unlocking i didnt say "unlock". i said "unblock". this unblock thing has nothing to do with the network unlocks.

[Q] Locked out of my prime..

So my friend was playing around with my Prime today when he shows me he has entered the incorrect pattern so many times that it will only allow me to sign in with my Google account to regain access to it. Im like okay no big deal, ill just sign in change the password and no problem.. Well, I have tried that and it will not accept my log in information.. I know the username (email) and password is right. I can log in from my computer just fine and I haven't changed the password for that account since I've had the tablet. I do not know what else to do..? I have tried putting just the first part of my username, tried entering null into the password box. didn't work.. I believe it might have something to do with the wifi not being on, but i cant turn it on because my tablet is locked! Is there anyway i can use ADB or something to turn wifi on or to let me reset the lock screen so i can enter my unlock pattern? i do know what that is. I would really like to not have to factory reset and wipe all the data.. Thanks in advance!
Sorry I don't know of any other way but the factory reset which wipes all the data off your prime, hopefully someone might know how to fix the problem without having to do the factory reset. I got my Prime from Taipei so when I did the factory reset I could not understand the text due to not knowing how to read the foreign language. Well after trying and failing and trying again it took me about an hour to set the language to English . So if their is no other option but a factory reset be prepared .
Also if you do come across an answer to this problem please share it with us here. Thanks

SM-A300FU FRP Bypass or removal

Hi there
I'm looking for some help on bypassing FRP for a Samsung Galaxy A3. Reason being is the phone was reset back to factory settings but on turning it on again after inputting the Wi-fi details, I'm greeted with a Samsung account box saying something like "this was an abnormal reset please enter details". The original problem was that I forgot the Samsung account password and thought this would remove it. At the time the AOL email address was not receiving the password reset email which is why the weird reset. To actually reset the phone, I looked on YouTube and did the way via Google Account Manager.
Anyway, to fix the problem, I read on other areas about something called Odin and managed to get other stock firmwares (UK 3G v5 and 6 of Android) but none worked to bypass this reactivation lock. Obviously the easy fix would be to log into the Samsung account and I eventually did by resetting the password (came 1 day later) but when I enter the correct details, I'm greeted with a "Processing failed" message.
I looked on YouTube again and did some RealTerm stuff which nearly worked but I could not open a browser as the phone said something about "for security". Patched I assume?
So basically is there anyway to remove FRP via some method or software that is not patched? The phone has none of this rooting or anything, I could barely understand how Odin worked. It's as stock as you would get from a shop. Ideally some software where I put the phone into Download mode, connect the USB and click "Disable FRP"?
Thank you

Here's a thought. You said that it took a whole day to get the new password from Samsung. Whenever I have asked for a reset like that, the new password was only good for anywhere between 10 minutes to a few hours. If it was delayed, I had to start the process over.
Could this be the problem you're having?

Hi
Same problem, "samsung" frp and not "google frp".
I want to rescue this old phone but i found nothing for the SM-A300FU (only for earlier A5)
Kind regards

Pocophone F1 password wouldn't work.

Pocophone F1
security set to fingerprint and alphanumeric password.
every 3 days the fingerprint stops working and asks for password as a default security feature.
Last night it asked for password as its been 3 days since last used password. I am certain the password is correct and signed in several times before with it. I suspect there might have been a system update in the last 3 days. Now it keeps saying password is incorrect.
Forgot password option only allows erasing data and back to factory default.
Any help would be much appreciated.

if you have TWRP or any other encryption supporting custom recovery, reboot to recovery and then check what it asks for.
called xiaomi uk
I didn't root the phone or have custom recovery installed unfortunately.
called xiaomi uk customer support, they were saying the phone should give the option to reset the password via the google account but it isn't giving this option.
the phone is definitely connected to my google account. can see it there and was able to locate it and ring it from the computer browser.

I didn't install those unfortunately.
Did you associate your phone to mi account? She this happen to my girlfriend's phone and saw a bunch of cases while looking for a solution. Couldn't find a way around factory resetting.
I ended up doing the factory reset. I am sure it's a Xiaomi software issue because when I was initiating the phone again, when you set up fingerprint it gives this message:
"Remember your lock screen password. If you forget it, you'll have to erase all data on your device, including photos and contacts, and then set a new one"
This is exactly what I ended up doing other than the fact that it wouldn't accept the correct password. There is ways around it if you rooted your phone before this happened but in my case there was no quick solution.
Xiaomi should allow the password reset via Google account like other android phones.
Lucky I did have some backup via Google so wasn't a total disaster.
this is really bad. Im in this situation and i don want to erase my files as i didnt back up or used cloud. since yesterday looking for work around this screen lock issue, im using pocophone f1.

Question FRP Lock after Factory Reset: Confirming Account jst "fails"

Hey folks,
my girlfriend just sold her P6 to a work friend and I wiped the device and thought "thats it". (I even removed the device from the Google Account!)
Sadly thats not it
The phone wants to have a/the? PIN of the device. We never set any PIN (which the google account confirms). What PIN is the device referring to?! Its not the lock-pin she normally used.
Nevertheless the device allows for a recovery via phone number and/or the old google account. We tried that and the P6 even lists the Name of my girlfriend and she gets a login notificiation on her new Pixel 7. But after entering the Password the P6 just say "an error occured, try again." (Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten)
But it doenst matter what we try or how often. We get always back to that screen and into the "an error occured".
So basically we/she are stuck. Any chance I can fix it with some ADB command or anything (dunno if the developer options are even switched on).
Thanks
Bastian
did you try reinstall the stock firmware?
there could be a few different pins
P.U.K is an acronym for Pin Unlock Key
Some carriers also put a SIM PUK on your SIM card when they sell you the SIM card
SIM Network Unlock Pin (NUP) is a code used to unlock an Android phone or iPhone from its original carrier so that it may be used on other carriers
picture of the error might help

During setup, the unit asking for the pin refers to the screen lock pin or password that was used, and no other. You can try 0000 and see if that works, but it likely won't. If the error persists, contact Google and explain it to them. Only don't be surprised if they can't help you.
The only ways to fix this are as follows: 1) contact Google as mentioned, since there is an error in the process, or 2) attempt to unlock the bootloader. If you can successfully unlock the bootloader, then FRP should not kick in the next time the unit is started. If neither option is available, then ADB will not help you here, as by design Google makes it so FRP cannot be bypassed in so simple a manner.

There has been one PIN and never any else and this doesn't work.
