Hi guys, was wondering if anyone can make a Rom with ICS (with all the tweaks and goodies) and have a Black/Brown/Gold theme to it? I attached a picture off an iphone when you invert the colors, you get that color scheme and it looks nice. Also anyway for someone to make it so that for example if you have a wallpaper widget on your desktop, it could have like a live video clip playing on the widget in the backround as if it were a small sample clip of the latest video or pics? would be neat.

A few things...
It does look pretty good.
With LCD screens, blacks are the most battery hungry to display, so dark themes affect battery life to some extent.
Last... not to sound like a jerk... but this is a question/request. I am not sure it is best asked in development section.
oh sorry, i didnt know where else to ask developers if they could make this lol. For me the battery isnt that big a concern, never has been really lol. I use the web a lot throughout the day and ive never had any problems running low by end of day on my rezound, even if so, i would just recharge it love that black and brown with gold, hoping someone will make it

I understood the opposite to be true. That the pixel is turned off with black, anything else required power.
And yes this could be moved to the theme and apps sub forum, no biggie though.

Doing a little research here. It isn't obvious what the right answer is.
Display type may make a difference.

On any form of led screen (oled, amoled, samoled, samoled+, etc) blacks use less battery. Not sure about lcd though. And gold would really clash with the phone's hardware. It's black and red with silver accents. We an aosp black and red theme to make our phones sexy.
On these types of screens (LCD), black requires the most power because the pixel isn't actually off, its obscurring the light from the backlight, which requires more energy than displaying white. Only on old CRT type displays was black actually equal to 'off' and thus used less power. I think LED displays require no back lighting, so the same is probably true.
**oops read LCD not led, my bad

Some of you were mentioning you didnt like how the LEDs on keys seemed pink or not true red, well i had some time on my hands and i changed my white LEDs to Red ones, which offer a much nicer red to the keys and here are some pics to show the two left which i changed to red, and the 2 right which are the standard stock ones.

Pretty slick dude, and how sad is it HTC didn't think of this themselves?! Did you take any pics of the phone taken apart of the LED's you used?
A tutorial and/or pics would be awesome! That looks much better.
they might have thought the red shining up instead of white would be distracting on the screen, who knows.
either way, those are some pink ass buttons...but now they look as red as mine lol
Nice pictures, easy to see what people were talking about when they said they had pink buttons.
Was it just a colored strip that changes the color from white to red (Pink)?
Okay, now I know mine are def red. Was driving myself crazy looking at them this morning wondering if they were turning pink on me or if it was an optical illusion against the red design on the wallpaper. lol. But even in my paranoia I didn't see anything truly pink like that.
But what I really want to know is what are you hiding on your screen?
That's cool. I didn't think mine looked pink enough. Would be awesome to make the pink stand out even more.
Is this phone a mess on the inside with the double sided sticky tape also? I hated having to heat up the Thunderbolt to get between the LCD & digitizer.
My keys don't look near as pale as yours do. U can tell they are red but they aren't dark... I think they didn't do red leds because of the screen leak and they were already going to make the keys red anyway.
But I think the red leak looks kind of sweet. Not sure how I would like it at night though...
U wanna do mine next? Lol.

Wow, nice mod. pwrdbykyank, YGPM
lol, i didnt take any pics of it apart this time, but i have pics up on the disassembly thread i made of it how it looks where the leds are. I used 0603 leds. There is no strip covering the original, they are just white leds. the digitizer glass is just tinted red to show red. Also the light doesnt leak onto the screen, i just tilted the phone and took a pic like that so you guys can see where the two red are and the two white. you can only see it by looking at a sharp angle from top down like that, or else you dont see the red coming on the screen Looks good at night, i wanted to add 2 LEDs to where the earpiece grill is, so that would light up on notification buttt looked like way to much work and i didnt want to alter the housing around to run wires through it so i said forget it lol.
oh ya and i covered the screen so the camera wouldnt focus on the LCD light, it kept bluring so ya lol or else my desktop is as plain as it came out of the box haha

I searched and read through the other threads on this, and I just wanted to ask what those of you with the pink buttons did to correct it, if anything at all.
4 phones later I have a perfect, dead pixel free screen, but super pink buttons...I am not exchanging this phone for that as a good screen IMHO is more important than red buttons.
I just didn't know if anyone had done anything easy to do that they would recommend to make em RED!
I couldn't tell the difference between red and pink on my buttons if I my life depended on it. For all I know, I could have magenta buttons.

hahaha, i am pretty picky about colors. I don't think after a couple days the pink will bother me that much, I just know how red than can be!
some guy on here was replacing the LED's with red ones, and another member sent his phone to him to do it, and was pleased with the results..
someone else painted the bulbs red
I just gotta say, maybe the buttons were neve supposed to be exactly red, just not white. gotta love the phone for what it is beside the off red/pink buttons. sheesh.
My buttons looked pinky at first but now look more red. Maybe they need to season up for awhile?

Yes, it seems to me they're supposed to be a lighter red, like the color of the beats ear buds.
Regardless, tacky IMO. Wish they would have just gone with white. Oh well...root and disable.

I don't about easy but there's a couple methods in this thread, one involving soldering and one involving just a sharpie. There may be other methods but that's what I remember seeing.
Rezound LED modification to soft touch keys
Here's his before and after pic using the soldering method where he changed the LEDs:

Or maybe those pics you took made it blush.
g damn, that is pink! I was starting to think mine were pink because i can't really tell the difference but now I see...
I came up with the Sharpie method, and while it isn't permanent like the LED method, it's help up just fine ever since I did it, almost a month ago. For those not too confident with soldering or modifying the system board in the phone, go for an alternate method for making them red, such as a Sharpie. I've heard that paint can eat away the LED's, but not quite sure about that.
I didn't notice that mine were more pinkish until my gf's was next to mine. Her's are darker and more red but i honestly could careless...It looks fine when its not next to another rezound...

For awhile, but it has to be reenabled all the time. Regardless, screen filter has a running notification and I don't like things in my status bar....
So I am seeing some color issues with my SII
Not sure if it's just the way it is (because I am coming from the LG G2x which had the most amazing display you can ever imagine), or is it just my phone.
The funny thing is that even though I am attaching a screnshot, obviously YOU will not be able to see the issue (since of course, the pic itself is fine, and it is the display that makes it wavey...)
I am not even sure I am explaining myself the right way.
Wavy colorts, uneaven, almost cartoonish-like, smeary.
It is most apparent with darker shades
(U can't see it here)

Samsung's Super AMOLED Plus displays exaggerate colors and shades, and that is it's key feature. Not sure about your phone, but if you think something's wrong with your phone, go check with your service provider.

I hope more members will have something to say, perhaps they have experienced this as well.
I was also thinking whether this can (hopefully) be a kernel issue or color calibration issue? I know that some kernels has effect on the colors, but I am out of my field here and completely wrong
The weird thing is that light colors are perfect. When GRAY or BLACK, it just looks bad.

I've got something similar to that.
It's not noticeable in a well lit environment but if I'm in a dark room and have a black screen on my sgs2, some blotches seem darker than the rest of the screen.
I wouldn't be too bothered about this if it was just one or two but there's one large one and a bunch of smaller ones scattered around the screen.
Thanks!
I wish I could upload a photo to show it, but (funny enough), my only camera is my phone's camera (a single student - what r u gonna do?!)
This is especially noticeable when I take a picture or when I use the Music app (pictured above), where there is huge smears of color going from the dark to the lighter.
I hate to even imagine it, but I think I will have to depart from my SII if this is something that isn't fixable. If no one else experience this, I will get a new SII
(i don't know anyone that has the SII so I have no one to compare it to)
Managed to take some pics
Hope U can see it:
Look at the bottom discoloration:
All menus with shades of grey and black present this issue (kernel problem maybe?)
NOTICE POWER WIDGET!!!!
Okay, so The SuperAMOLED screen has some of the best black levels out of any display Iv'e ever seen. as nice as it would be to have PLUS, for the IPS subpixel layout, I still love this screen's display. The Note 2 will probably have this, and even better options..
But. I would love if some of you can post home screens and wallpaper images at full resolution that went with it, to show off how nice they look on the screen. Iv'e always had trouble finding amazing wallpapers :3
But yeah, I have an S-IPS $700 monitor as my main monitor at home, and even though the colors are off on the Note's screen, the black levels pretty much make up for it. This 5.3 inch screen has better detail and picture quality than my 55" Big screen TV does! :O (not better color accuracy though) Only because it's a triple LCD rear projection TV, which has WAY better colors than pretty much ANY "LED TV"
Until SuperAMOLED Plus comes out in TV's, No "LED TV" will EVER have color accuracy that Rivals my monitor, so Don't flame on that. LED TV's are a complete lie and a scam because they are garbage Twisted nematic LCD panels that are just LED backlit, when cathodes can actually be brighter ironically.
Unless they start using high intensity LED's with pure white light, I don't see LED bqaclighting being better, but yeah, post some wallpapers?
I have 900 wallpapers. Will add once in whlie.

That wallpaper looks awesome! If I didn't have ICS Tablet mode I'd use it. Just looks odd with all the blue menusand text :3 but if I had touchwiz, I'd use it
Greens are particularly vibrant on our screen because the subpixel arrangements is red, green, blue, green instead of red, green, blue, albiet the sub pixel size of green is half that of the others.
Feel free to upload those wallpapers any time

I had a bunch of bluetooth audio issues that I suspect are byproducts of the outdated OS. If the phone ever gets KK I'll pick up another one.
