settings - akku = no data available - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

hey guys,
with my galaxy nexus (ics 4.0.2) I can see all detailed information on which app used how much percentage of my akku so far.
how long the device has bin powered on, how long in standby etc.
with my prime, it always displays "no data available" when I click on settings -> akku.
is this a bug? do you guys experience the same?

Yes, it's a bug. The original Transformer had this problem as well out the gate, but a few updates later and the data was available. I'm hopeful that ASUS will get this implemented in an upcoming update.

okay, thanks for the info

Tapatalk question

I noticed quite a few people here use tapatalk app. Screenshots on the Market were taken only from a mobile phone. How does it work on a tablet? Does it scale nicely? Does it properly flip the screen between vertical and horizontal?
Yep it works well. Here's a screenshot.

I find it occasionally buggy but otherwise concur.

It works but it has plenty of missing features like the ability to search individual forums (or so it appears) and I think the interface mediocre but it's better than nothing.

Yeah, it works, but not at all tablet optimised. There is a HD version which has been released in the Samsung store only for the Galaxy Tab but unfortunately it does not appear to be released for any other tablets yet and when I tried installing the apk it loaded, but FCs when you try to log into a forum, making it useless.
So there does seem to be hope for a tablet version at some point.

How do I get .15 firmware update?

How do I get .15 update? I tried settings>about tablet>system update and it says no update found. I did check under about tablet just to make sure and I am still on .14...

I believe that you might be a member of the unlucky portion of the population that might be receiving this nonessential update later than than most of the community. I might suggest to bide your time for the moment or inquire about your most distressing problem to a representative of ASUS. I wish the best of luck to you.

I myself wish i wouldn't have updated. Seems like GPS just like removed, and WiFi signal has decreased as well. I don't know if it's only more.

Brightness flashing

OK I'm new to the tf201. Just got it after my tf101 and have tried searching for some answers but didn't find anything.
When I manually set my brightness and say watch a movie in the dark at night I can see my brightness clicking up and down. Anyone experienced this? I also have washed out colors ... but I think that's just my screen.
Thanks

I think I readed a while ago that the constrast is changing a bit. I would also want to disable that.

me too!!!
Omg this is SO ANNOYING. I emailed the asus tech guys but all thry said was to return it
Or to send it in for RMA
The contrast is changing? How do you fix (change) that?
Hum mm maybe I should send it back in....

It's a tegra 3 battery saving feature, automatic contrast. It's extremely annoying, but sadly no way to remove it... It's less visible if you up the brightness. Really wish Asus would make it so you could turn it off, at least in performance mode or something...

[Q] Wake Up Screen with Keyboard

Hi Guys
Have only just got my TF201 and I have a question about waking the screen, can this be done via the keyboard dock or do I need to use the button at the back of the screen every time?
Thanks

just go to settings, then Asus settings, in there you will find an option almost at the end if (I'm not wrong) that lets you wake the tablet using the keyboard.
Edit: yep, at the end of the list, under energy savings.
Can't believe I missed that, thanks so much!

WiFi vulnerability

Hi all,
Couldn't find anything on the forum about this so far, but it seems like our Primes have another issue with WiFi. There seems to be a vulnerability in the chipset that was used.
Broadcom appears to have published a fix, but the question is, will Asus provide it in an update?

You do realise that this is really a non-issue. I agree that it needs to be fixed, but it will have no affect on the security of your Prime whatsoever.
