[Q] Full screen HD netflix.. - HTC Rezound

I'm just starting to use netflix on my rezound, and I was wondering how to get full screen HD on it...I know there are previous posts for this topic though the ones I came across were a bit old and not full screen.
Anyone know

What do you mean full screen? Our devices can't do HD Netfix right now because of our processor or something. HD Netflix isn't compatible with it. We'll get it eventually.

From what I've read, you can download a file so you can get HD netflix..though its not full screen viewing like the market app is.

Idk where, but its the razrs netflix app that does HD. The galaxy nexus forums have the link to the app .

Yeah, many of us have tried that HD Netflix .apk. It won't do anything really. The HD version just isn't compatible yet. Even if you have the .apk, it won't give you true HD until Netflix makes it compatible with our processors.
Here is the thread that has the HD Netflix if you want to try it. But like I said, it won't really do much. Worth a shot, though.

Thanks I shall give it a try..hope they come out with one compatible with the rezound soon!

Like WasabiWa83 said, no difference.

Tried the apk myself and could not get it to work properly. Plus it repeatedly asked me to upgrade to a newer version in the Android Market. So I got rid of it.

The Nexus is able to do it since it uses similar architecture as the OMAP4 from the Razr. The Snapdragon is a differen't thing. Guess we got screwed on the HD, funny how the Snapdragon Devices were one of the first devices to get Netflix over the OMAP when it was first released.

I had one that worked in full hd and fullscreen but it became outdated and is useless now as you can't play anything without it asking for an update

Its not technically the processor, but the security capabilities. The OMAP4's have whats needed for it to be "secure". I remember an article about it i believe when the droid 3 came out, and heres an example:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/05/netflix-for-android-gets-first-hd-streaming-certification-texas/

The only phone right now that has the security certificate to allow HD streaming from Netflix is the RAZR. Go figure the device w/o a HD screen gets HD netflix . Eventually one day our devices will support HD netflix.

Thanks man! Downloading and testing!

Hope they fix the resolution for atrix looks a little off but still, great game

anyone know of a hack that allows WiFi downloads over 3G?
Does amazon do free apps every day?

Damn Amazon..still can't get it to work on my Bell Atrix. After sideloading the apk..using an American address..and even with a Tmobile sim card..it still tells me its not available in my region..
damn wifi only. I've downloaded 500mb video files over 3g before. what's the big deal with a 73mb apk.
This game uses a lot of images/sprites as its graphics as opposed to vector graphics so it doesn't scale properly for qHD, I'm guessing it looks a lot better on a WVGA device.
it looks okay, a little washed out in comparison to the iDevice version.
Isn't working.
After multiple reboots, uninstalls and reinstalls, it will start and get past the popcap logo and just exit out. I'm rooted on 4.1.83, running GingerBlur. Can anyone help me out?

its on applanet, completely playable version, just a minor resolution issue
black screen
i'm on 1.8.3 using gingerblur 3.5 and when i launch the game i get a little audio from the opening theme but the screen is completely black. anyone else run into this issue?
edit:
got it to work. from the home screen, menu->settings->applications->manage applications, find plants vs zombies on the list "force stop" if it's running then "clear data" and restart. that worked for me at least.
There is an HD version for tegra devices. It looks a little too zoomed out where as the non-hd version on Amazon looks zoomed in.

[Q] N.O.V.A. 2 HD For Atrix Device Hack?

I'm looking at buying NOVA 2 for Android... Just came out. (use the web market to find). They are having a discount on their website and many android blogs say it works with TEGRA 2 devices.
YEt it says incompatible with Atrix... And their website doesn't allow me to pick ATT as a carrier (their website it stupid! (GameLoft)).
Has anyone bought it and got a device hack to remove the check?
I'm not saying you should illegally get it, cause I am willing to buy it, but my interest kinda wanes when it's not available to use on my platform that is supposed to support it :l
Qhd version doenst exista yet
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Nova 2 HD doesn't support qHD... ironic.
Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G on the network with the most backhaul, whatever that is. This post might have errors as I hate touchscreen keyboards.
It does support qHD, as I played it on a DROID 3 the other day.
Got it downloaded but can't get past a certain progress bar for the first level. Looking for a hack myself...
Hack already exists elsewhere
I can play nova 2 hd, but try hit fire and see blood. You cant cover all the screen, and have some glitchs

Does netflix freeze for anyone else?

I will be watching it and it will randomly freeze but I can still hear the sound. I'm on alpha 2.1 with the newest netflix. Do I need a different version of netflix?
Sent from my Incredible 2 HD using XDA App
Yes, I have to quit Netflix and restart the video to get it to work. Any solutions?
Actually the latest version works perfectly for me. And i watch a lot of Netflix

I havent used Netflix much, mainly because the screen looks smushed because of the resolution. Anyone have a fix for that?
Happens to me to. On my htc sensation as well

I don't have that problem. With one of the newer updates Netflix goes to Tablet mode instead of looking like it's made for a phone. And the video quality is very decent, at least for Star Trek and Spongebob it is.

Tablet Netflix Apk

I've been wondering,
Since we have fancy HD screens, would it be possible to get the new tablet version of the Netflix APk?
From what I saw it looks much nicer than the standard phone apk. Would it require some kind of hack to let it run on 2.3? Or is it a switch that can be flipped in the apk?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
I think there would have to be some modification done to allow HD content to be streamed to us. I know when I had the RAZR the moment I launched the market Netflix was pretty much the first thing to update. So I doubt we can just take the apk and that would result in HD streaming from Netflix. Pretty lame since this screen > RAZR.
I'm pretty sure I'm getting HD streaming on the titles that are in HD.. I mostly want it for the new slick layout.

netflix hd is only supported on the texas instrument chipset (razr, bionic, Galaxy Nexus)
is there plans to support other chipsets?

^ only TI OMAP 4 has the security certificate at the moment to be able to stream HD content from Netflix. Further fragmentation on the Android market yay! Probably will be a few more months until our chipset will have the certificate to stream HD content.
Now explain why it would steam hd video to device's that do not have hd LOL sounds like a troll.

qHD can still display HD content nicely. The HD Netflix looked amazing on the RAZR, I know the screen on this phone will compliment HD Netflix nicely.

You do realize each of those phones has HDMI output right? And that the output does do HD.

Its is one of the most powerful android phones available currently, top 5.
Please attempt to do some research in the future, before posting such a blatant question
i never did get this why in the world do you want a 1080p video on a 5 inch screen. the only reason i can logically see is if you already had 1080p videos encoded.

U are absolutely right. Bragging rights, in combination that the large majority want the latest and greatest and don't fully understand how it works
thanks for clearing things up,
before asking these blatant questions,
i have done a good amount of reseach
and i was getting different answers,
i probably will never ever watch 1080p on the 5 inch screen but my quetion was meant to find out what it could do rather than what i will do with it.
thanks for the answers everyone, and sorry for making my intention to be unclear at first.
