What is the max cpu that sga can take.. is it 883 mhz or 864 mhz before heating like an oven?

It all depends on how Qualcomm treated your CPU

It literally depends on the phone. Every phone is different even if its the same model.

What the other guys already told... It depends on your phone and other circumstances.
So just try and check if your phone keeps running stable... If you apps begin to quit unexpected or you'll get random crashes, you're too high!
My Ace is running stable on 825 MHz, it begins to act weird @ 864 MHz!

Sounds like it may be hardware accelerated. Hopefully it is because my nook with an a8 CPU at 1.2ghz has issues playing 480p flash videos without hardware acceleration. Would imagine my optimus overclocked at 806mhz would have issues with 360p flash videos without hardware acceleration.
Good news but how will we get 800mhz on O1???It should be possible bcoz if not how Sam Ace & Gio are running on that speed!!!

You probably will not. 768MHz is completely stable here though, anything above that => not good.

Well, sometime you can get 800MHz. But overclocking is strange device dependent. So, somebody have 768 very stable you, but somebody can have 800 and somebody have some problems also on 710 like me for example.
I believe the ARM1176 processor is designed to 800 MHz for my LG Optimus V.
Not sure that everyone else is running the same processor, but I think there are two speeds for the ARM v.6, all flavors, which is 800 MHz and 1GHz. The cell manufacturers lower the speed to conserve power and I'm certain buy the less expensive 800 MHz version.
So everyones CPU should be 800 MHz capable...that does not mean that the memory I/O can take a similar speed up - I don't know exactly what is being sped up with the CPU overclock, but the CPU itself shouldn't have any issues. If it is the system clock, then the I/O is already being timed appropriately and a speed up is overclock for it, but 800 MHz is not an overclock for the CPU.

it is possible but for most peoples ROM anything past 787 will give a kernel error and reboot the phone the only ROMi got it to work on was Megatron ROM

On Spica Max Neocore output was 7 fps and on o1 its 63 fps currently.
Even than I could play games like ninjump and mx moto.
So what difference would be there in performance even if we can clock till 768-787 and not 806.
Will the flash not run because our clock speed is 787 and not 800?
I hope people are getting what I am asking. When our o1 can handle things like Neocore 63 fps, 1gb ext partition, multi format video playback, then why would it be difficult to run flash on 787 instead of 800 even when flash would be optimized for our kind of processors?

More or less flash should work on or device even at 600mhz, the real issue is to optimize it for our chip set instructions.

I hope so i wonder if our Froyo(O1lg) kernel source varies greatly with Ace's kernel code ...SoC chipset is the same msm7227 for other devices code wud vary but the vga and other arm(assembly) code must be the same..If any kernel developers cud please look into it

Exactly. And even if there was a way to run flash on O1, I wouldn't bother with it myself. It would only slow down the phone and kill the battery life in two seconds.. I really, really don't understand what the big deal about this is. Low-budget phone, no flash. End of discussion lol.

[Q] Why is OC over 729 MHz unstable on P500. ?

Guys... I just wanna know the reason behind the OC mechanism of P500 that does not allow it to OC beyond 729 MHz in stable form. .
Whereas the GT-540 with same CPU gets easily OC to 900 MHz.

Because the HW (chip) is not rated to run at such frequency. If you are lucky, you will be stable @806MHz or whatnot. If you are not and got the less perfect silicon, they you will crash even @ 729. Nothing above the stock frequency is guaranteed.

Yep, it actually depends on the device itself.
Gt540 at 900 MHz have you looked at our forum on m6 we can't get past 806 stable oc some of us 844 tops anything past that unstable plus crashing constantly we all want the Max but its hard to achieve better to focus on swap ram io speed stability

I'm running stable at 787. Had a few crashes but I think it was the ROM because I reflashed and no problems since then.
i think it also depend of the kernel becuas with the first kernel there was for our phone i could go to 748 witho no problem then with matt kernel only to 729 above tha eventuality the phone crash with franco i could go to 768 but sometimes crash,so could be hw yes but the kernel also help and have a big part in oc...

[Q] Random Reboots

Hello, I keep getting random reboots on my HTC Legend. I don't think the problem is related to the rom because I tried many of them and still the same problem. I've read that it may be related to the radio version but I don't know which version should I upgrade to

Did u OC's the CPU? Maybe your frequencies are too high?
Try with a lower one.

have you tried to change governor?

It could also depend on the Kernel installed, but for a 600 MHz processor, 787mhz seems definitely too high for me. My friend has the same CPU in his ZTE Blade and he cannot OC more than 650mhz (obviously also depends on hardware).
What I suggest, is to OC's just a little above the normal value 600mhz (ex. 633/650mhz), and increase little by little the clock to find out at which freq. your phone start to experience spontaneous reboot.
I would also try the "smartass" governor with a min freq between 19/176 mhz.

Some devices (with 600mhz processors) can be overclocked to 864mhz (e.g. HTC Aria; but is overall stable at 806mhz).

I am agree. My Hero can be overclocked up to 749mhz (525mhz default) , but at this OC suffer from spontanious reboot. The max freq. I can reach is 710mhz without problems.
This is why I said it depends on devices and hardware.
Probably 787mhz is too much for his phone.

[Q] Undervolting Neutrino v2.5

I'm wondering what settings people are using for undervolting. I'm running Neutrino v2.5 GT with the patch and supercharger. Seems like if I set anything above 50 I get a reboot. Kinda a total noob when it comes to UV so any help would be appreciated

I've tried lower but I started getting reboots, at these voltages it's been good for a few days now.
Every Atrix isn't the same so while one set may work for one persons phone it may not on yours. One thing, though. DO NOT break the 100mv limit. Meaning if 1GHz is at 1000mv, then the step below it (912MHz if you're on a 1GHz kernel) shouldn't go below 900mv. This is a limit on the Tegra 2 set by Nvidia and going passed the 100mv limit cancels out undervolting across the board. Meaning if 1GHz is at 1000mv and you set 912MHz to 875mv or lower, it won't matter what the undervolting application says. Your phone will NOT be undervolted. I'm able to under volt fairly well and I usually stick to 1GHz kernels to save on battery. If you're using a 1GHz kernel, try leaving the first two frequencies alone (don't change 1GHz or 912 MHz). Here's what I've been using on CM9 with faux123's 1GHz kernel:
1GHz - no change
912MHz - 25
750MHz - 50
608MHz - 95
456MHz - 105
312MHz - 115
216MHz - 135
This has been stable for me since I got my Atrix and works really well on a couple of my friend's Atrix. If this causes reboots then set 912MHz back to no change at 950mv and I can almost promise you the problem will be fixed. Also, if you're a battery saving whore like I am and you're on AT&T, flash the N_01.100.00R European radio. This will allow you to set your phone to GSM Only by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and changing GSM auto (PRL) and use the EDGE (2G) service providing you with MUCH better battery life. If you need the higher speeds then switch back or simply reboot the phone. Hope this information helps.
On a side note, underclocking is another useful way to conserve battery. I never did this on GB ROMs as everything became terribly slow, but on ICS, underclocking barely hinders performance. I have mine underclocked at 750MHz and in terms on scrolling, opening apps, playing games, web surfing, even moving through homescreens, it still outperformed any GB ROM I've used at 1GHz and even 1.3GHz. Even benchmarks are fairly the same. Going on 53 hours with HEAVY usage. e.g. Web browsing all day, texting, few phone calls, and playing games.

I'm on Turl's CM9 build v9 with faux123's 1GHz kernel and I undervolt to:
1GHz - 950 mV (-50)
912 - 930 mV (-20)
750 - 830 mV (-70)
608 - 730 mV (-120)
456 - 630 mV (-170)
312 - 530 mV (-245)
216 - 430 mV (-320)
I tried an extreme that someone else had on their Atrix with 216 MHz at 400 mV, and 100mV increment up and my phone became unstable (with 912 MHz at 900mV). Following some other people's advice to undervolt less at 912MHz I arrived at my current setting that is stable for my phone.
I'm using Neutrino 2.2 with the latest faux kernel because I couldn't get phone to deep sleep with 2.5 even with the update installed.
I used pimp my cpu and managed these undervolts, it wouldn't let me go past -250mV is that normal?
1300Mhz -125 mV = 1175 mV
1200Mhz -100 mV = 1100 mV
1100Mhz -50 mV = 1050 mV
1000Mhz -50 mV = 950 mV
800Mhz - 175 mV = 725 mV
456 Mhz - 200 mV = 600 mV

Your phone isn't undervolted at all since you broke the 100mv limit. Might show that you are, but the phone is still running with high power consumption.
Also, if you wanna go lower, get SetCPU. Goes all the way down to -500mv and doesn't lock you to increments of 25. You can set any value such as -69mv, -146mv, etc.

The best idea is to do minimal undervolting on higher frequencies as they need more power and do the more intense undervolting on lower frequencies.
I changed mine up, a bit. This is what I'm working with, now:
1GH no change = 1000mv
912MHz -25mv = 925mv
750MHz -50mv = 850mv
608MHz -100mv = 750mv
456MHz -150mv = 650mv
312MHz -225mv = 550mv
216MHz -300mv = 450mv
To me, undervolting is a way to mainly save power, further, when the screen is off while conserving as much as I can when I'm actually using the phone.

Pretty sure it just the rom. Switched to redpill to test it and with undervolting I had %60 battery left after all day of heavy use.
Im on jokersax 0.33, installed setcpu, but i dont see voltages menu at all.
Can somebody guide me pls

Its the 3rd tab at the top. It says main, then profiles, then voltages. Not sure if its on there if your not running a custom kernel

Thats y maybe,.. i am on kernel which comes with jokersax ROM, so probably i cannot get it ;(
EDIT: Yes, i installed http://www.jokersax.com/upload/Atrix-CM9-Kernel-025b-ext4-1.00GHz.zip and i got Voltage tab.
I am testing Neroga settings now.

Phone froze 2 times and restarted, restoring from standby.

You have to start out pretty low and work ur way up til u don't get any reboots. Also I'd try faux123's kernel the 1.3 is where its at
I couldn't find any voltage tab
I've tried the standard kernel that comes with the neutrino and faux 1,45ghz for cm7...

Can you explain exactly how you set your phone to 2G only? Reason I'm asking is 'cause I flashed the radio you mentioned and tried to use 2G only, but it keeps resetting back to gsm/cdma (prl).
Switched to neutrino EE n haven't had a problem since. Battery will last me 2 days

Stock cpu voltage of our s2 i9100?

Hello everybody. Just wondering if my Cpu downvolt has became in a performance improvement, especially in games. After downvolting cpu (gpu was already overvolted for overclocking to 400 mhz) I noticed an incredible improvement on games like nova 3 and asphalt 7.
Could you tell my what are the stock cpu voltages for... 200mhz, 400mhz, 600mhz, 1000 mhz and 1200 mhz clocks?
