Are you to lazy to use the search button?

No dude. Dont get me in the wrong sense. I tried searching for almost a day. I found some filesonic links which are down. And I am not able to find any other links which are working. That is why I had to post here.

I did find that post. But the problem with that post is that all the links point to filesonic which no longer lets ppl share files after the megaupload shutdown. So I was hoping someone else has the kernels and could upload them somewhere else.

Search the CF-Root thread for the text "Help! Which file do I use?" Should explain what you need to know.
Your stock kernel will be in Intratech's carrier branded firmware thread. Search for your original kernel version (BOKG2) and location. (I'm guessing UK?)

Really? Even if you're using the XDA app, the search button is easily accessible. And besides which, both threads are available through the sticky in the General section. You could have easily found both in the amount of time it took you to post that message.

You only need the kernel to root your device.
As quoted by chainfire:
Go to Settings -> About phone -> Kernel Version. Note the string present there:
2.6.35.7-I9100XXKG1-CL349526
What matters most (KG1) in this case, is in bold. Try to find the matching file under downloads:
CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.zip

So this file will do the job i think (I'm not sure- maybe a developper can help here)
CF-root-SGSG2-XX_OXA_KG2-v4.1-CWM4.zip

I'm cocky? I told you exactly where to find the information. No links, but I still told you where to look.
You violated rules 1, 2.1, and 2.3 of the forum rules. And I'm the jerk?
First of all op when you sign up to XDA you agree to the rules one being to search XDA is a development site and this has been answered over and over no excuse due to tapatalk since every phone has mobile browser and the stickys are still there at top of forums.
Second your use of language is against forum rules anything more like this and infractions will be placed on account....

Multiupload up and links working!

Hey,
I tried to reply directly to topics but I can't since I dont have 10+ replies. In any case good news
First off, if you don't see that ICE image, the site has NOT been taken down by the US.
Second, use this instead of multiupload.com,
85.17.76.195
Click to collapse
, then put in the download alphanum code eg.
85.17.76.195/1GA9HET58U
Click to collapse
Works 100%!! and it seems legitimate because I was able to download the actual file, this and many others.
Hope this is helpful!
awesome! Maybe they are having problems with their domain.
Wouldn't it be a good idea in future for people to make seperate links to all the different upload sites that multiupload uploads to, so that there is redundancy when multiupload goes down? It seems like a waste if when one site goes down we don't have links for like 20 sites.
Not working here ...
Maybe it is blocked here in Belgium

Give me the link I can reupload it for you on another host or see if it's working for me.
Is the page loading at all?
Try 85.17.76.195 only, do you get the multiupload page?
Are you putting your link in the format of 85.17.76.195/XXXXXXXXXX where the Xs are the alphanumeric code?

*sigh*...
Any link (anywhere on the internet) that links to multiupload or megaupload will not work. (they have been shut down by the DOJ and FBI for copyright violations) That includes any link in the first link I posted.
HOWEVER....
MANY MANY MANY links on that page are NOT linked to multiupload or megaupload. They will just say "Download", instead of a URL string. Those links work.
And I SERIOUSLY doubt you tried all the hundreds of links on that page in the 5 minutes since I posted.
EDIT to add: plus it appears you're still not following rule #1 of the forum. But I'll take pity and provide you with ONE more set of links. Then you're on your own.
You can find older stock firmwares at www.samfirmware.com. You have to register to download, but it's free.

Custom ROM testing

Hi all,
I have been searching for months on this forum and google for an answer but am getting no where.
I am trying to test ROMs (developing and existing ones available) before flashing to my phone.
I have the SDK emulator installed, but i cannot seem to get a custom rom running.
I have both Windows and Linux platforms. Linux has the mkfs.yaffs2/unyaffs to create the .img files, but none load.
I download the stock PDA from Sams, and extracted the system.img file, added to the ./android/AVD_FOLDER, and this just hangs on the ANDROID screen.
Can someone please assist? Surely there must be away of testing custom ROMs and Kernels prior to flashing? Or do the uber devs just develop direct on the phone and continually flash the phone?
Wrong section, also I think most Rom cooks here continually re flash.

I appreciate this may be the wrong section, all though would be part of test/development for newbies like myself.
There surely must be away?

You aren't reading correctly, I am saying that read how to categorize your thread into sections.
It is written that if you did not get any answer in that thread, then post in Q&A section
What I am trying to make you realize is that this thread doesn't belong to Development Section.
Nothing more than that
Can any dev assist? Is there away of testing custom Roms on the emulator?
Can anyone help??
