So the Phone app and Icon disappeared from my lockscreen and app drawer, but there are no updates found when I do the check. So is there a way I can manually apply the update or is there another fix?
I'm on Infected ROM.
What was the last thing you were doing? Did u just flash anything or do anything unusual?

This happened to me after rooting my phone. Had to run the ruu to get it back and have been fine ever since.

I backed up my phone with Titanium Backup before replacing my phone. After restoring, none of the lockscreen customizations are working. The only thing that changes when I try changing lockscreens in the personalization menu is the wallpaper. I've tried reinstalling all backed up files relating to Sense and the lockscreen, and yanking the battery, but nothing works. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I'd prefer not having to clean boot. Thanks.
Have you you done the otas?

Yeah, I did that. I ended up doing a factory reset and it's good again.
guys, i was trying to install synergy rom and when i got all booted up, i noticed my clock with weather would not find weather information. then i noticed the buttons were gone from the lockscreen. the same thing happened when i flashed clean rom. anyone know what could cause this?
It is the same with me on Synergy.
Has anyone figured this out?
this happened to me after installing a theme. continues after switching roms if i don't wipe everything and do a clean install. have you flashed a theme or mod?
has anybody else had this issue since rooting and s-off? If so what is the fix? It was there at first, then I replaced my messages quick launch with gosms, and now my phone app is missing. It also is missing from the app list. I know this was an issue for some due to an its when the phone first launched, but have not seen anybody else talking about this issue.

Just reboot. But make sure quickboot isnt check under system/power
Install the OTA update. Don't worry, you won't lose root.
Ok, thanks ill try reboot first, then ota.

Thanks button pushed! I needed the ota, the reboot didnt help.
I have a stock unlocked and rooted rezound, i just created a zip from kitchen for my status bar icons. I followed the directions exact, wiped cache and dalvik, then flashed zip. Booted up and status bar keeps force closing. I then wiped cache and dalvik again, mounted data and system, and flashed again but with same results. Anyone know whats going on or how to fix, i am going to have to restore my nandroid and start over?
I wouldn't wipe. most times you get that but let it sit for a few minutes then reboot then it sticks

Ive tried everything and still it just shows no status bar and give the force close message from time to time

What ROM are you running? ICS ROMs are finicky and even still Sense GB ROMs can be that much worse. I'd recommend pulling your working framework and swapping the icons/files you're trying to get from the Kitchen.
Im stock rooted. Gingerbread
Im just gonna restore my backup i cant figure out anything else
I've been getting that status bar issue for the last few days. It started after I installed a couple remote control apps and a game. I've uninstalled the game and deleted the openfeint folder and uninstalled one of the remote control apps and it's still happening.
It usually restarts itself but sometimes I have to reboot to get it back.
I think I'm going to go back to my stock OTA nand and then set everything up again, make a nand and try that remote control app I like again.
Anyway, just chiming in that I'm having the issue as well but I've never used the kitchen. I am running a theme, a skin and I pulled in some icons from an ADW theme into Sense using Folder Organizer.
If I figure out what is causing mine to fc I'll post back.
Much appreciated thanks, my status bar never even showed once since flashing but the force close message would come up from time to time. I just restored my backup and am gonna continue looking into this. I would really like to get it solved to due away with the boring stock icons.
I wouldn't use a kitchen for that. Put your icons in with 7 zip and then sign it.

I've had a similar issue. Every zip I've tried using for my themes ends in a bootloop. I've never had to sign apk's before when making themes. Do I need to sign each APK for the zip?

If you're just swapping icons. Pull your framework/sysui and unzip it, swap the icons and re-zip it(usually using store compression). You won't need to sign the apk. I actually made a script for this.

I rooted yesterday using this method (which had me rooted in less than 5 minutes, no problems at all)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819660
Then i decided to purchase ROM toolbox pro to change up the font and other icons. The fonts worked fine but once i tried changing the battery icon it wouldn't change to the new one after boot. Instead it would show the new circular icon (which is the one i wanted) then fade into the battery icon i didnt want. So after trying to change the icon i decided i didnt want to keep it rooted so i used Ginger Unroot. Once it rebooted i noticed that the animation i had changed when it boots was still playing even though i had supposedly unrooted.
I used rootchecker to check if i was still rooted perhaps and its showing that my phone is no longer rooted but the font i had switched to is still there and so is that battery icon, as well as the animation and other icons i had changed.
So now i dont know if my phone is rooted or not and im not able to reroot using the same method as above anymore because during the process it says "device not found".
My question is i guess, what can i do to just go back to stock but still save my apps and data or can i reroot some other way so that the icons can go back to stock and i can start over fresh.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Unrooting wont undo the changes you made when rooted. Unrooting will simply remove root access. What version is your phone?

Did you back up anything prior to changing it?

Not that I can remember. I really just want to be able to change the status bar notifications because they seem unsettled. I get 'ghost' icons alot and have to drag down the bar so they can appear normal again.
I really like the tablet GUI and don't want to move to the phabet one, at least till GUI can be changed for 4.2.2...
I don't think I will miss any of the new features...
But what is bugging me is the update notification. How do I remove it? I turned the auto update off but its still there. Tried reboot as well...

If you are rooted, you can simply freeze with TB the Update Center app and no more notification to upgrade to 4.2.2
