Hi. Please tell me how can I get ext3 if CWM is only converted to ext4?
I know it can be done with firmware flashing. But I would like to do this without using a PC. On the Samsung it is possible by CWM. Thanks for your reply. And an apology for my English.

Hi all, just needed to know
1: if apps in ext4 partition of sd card has the full data of the application?
That is, apps stay after flashing a new rom?
Another question, if I flash to stock rom which does not support ext4 app2sd will the whole sd card be unreadable? For example if I flash stock froyo from coderom?
Third question which is simple, wondering if I can flash a stock rom with Odin if I had replaced the stock recovery with cwm?

1. only if have enabled data2sd. But they will not availaible after flashing.
2. No. it'll be readable. Only the ext4 part will not detected by pc.
3. Yes
Hit thanks if I helped!!!
I think for q no 2 is, the ext4 partition wouldnt be detected even on the phone itself if u flashed to rom that doesnt support ext4. Its common sense really

1) Depends on the a2sd script used...
2)fat32 partition cn b read. ext4 cnt b...
3) yes
Do know it's common sense but for my mini pro even formatting to ext2 gives a "sd card cannot be read" and prompts to format. So i'll have to make sure just in case, have to revert to froyo to try to use my warranty for my defective phone earpiece.

My recovery is Clockwork 5.0.0.7.
Sorry for my bad english and thanks a lot for anyone can answer me
I'm not familiar with that ROM, but I just glanced at the discussion thread, and there are instructions/advice for using apps2sd. Have you read that?

I had the same problem.I did this and it worked. It's simple just create the partition again
First backup all the data of SD card
then install Amnora recovery as mentioned in GTR rom by neko95.
Reboot into recovery
Then in partition set value 0 in both partition n swap, you'll have a blank SD with it's full capacity
Then again partition as your wish.
Then copy all the backed up data.
Then open S2e
it'll be able to detect the created partition
Hope i helped!!
yes, use amonra...clockwork's default to ext3/ext4....forget which one or maybe both....if you want specifically ext3 for whatever reason that might be, use amonra than partitition than upgrade from ext2 to ext3 in the partition portion of amonra recovery
ok, i think to have undestanded.
When i have an hour free i try to do this, with amonRa.
Thank you a lot
Hi,
I thought the feravolt Tom were compatible with EXT4, but the android does not find my SD... formatted with gparted.
I read that I had to format it in extra under xrecovery, but nothing about extra in it...
Some one knows?
for the xrecovery question i believe its in partition tools => format SDcard
for the ext4 i do not know sorry tried it myself once and noticed it did not get detected so i went back to Ext3
How did you manage to get ext3 working then?
i used this guide http://www.thespicygadgematics.com/2012/05/how-to-create-second-partition-on-micro.html
hope it helps.
and secondly i hope im not stearing you wrong?
you want to use this "extra" partition for apps yes ?
Well, if I could just not use fat32 anymore, that would be the best!
Anyway, I will give a try
HelloN guys,
