Hi all,
new poster here, hope you can help.
I was attempting to update my sensation to ICS using a custom rom. Have followed the instructions found in the relevant forum on here and got as far as updating the firmware on my device.
I checked my CID was supported which is says it is "VODAP001" so proceeded to attempt to flash the ROM.
The flash seemed to work until I got a CID incorrect! error message.
Unfortunately now the phone wont boot, it keeps staying on the HTC logo, then seemingly rebooting itself again.
I'm praying I haven't bricked the device, but any ideas what I do now?
Never mind.. I worked it out myself!

Hi guys
Please help. i did a SBF flash, with RSDlite
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991072
I did it before, so i didnt have problems.
I did it again tonight, as i want to sell my device.
When it boots, the red LED flikkers, and the device turns off.....
I tried the process again, same thing?
Please help, my device does not want to boot.
Thanks!
Did you see any message in the process? what's the origin of this phone (ATT, Bell, etc)? what's the OS version?
if you upgraded to 2.3.4 via OTA and then flash this, your phone is hard bricked. See the stickies in the development section.

and then use restore backup to go between the two when required...

Given you are using HTC Desire / Bravo, I would firstly recommend you use Unrevoked to root the phone...
Once the phone is rooted, then switching between ROMS should be straightforward enough presuming you've backed up your data and followed the instructions to the letter.
As for Sky-Go... presuming your ROM is up to date, i.e. 2.3.XXX or 4.XX then it shold work fine. I prefer in such cases to download the software fresh after each install rather than using Titanium Backup just so everything is fresh.
Hope it helps...

[SUMMARY] - If you're bored or find this kind of thing funny you could read this post from the bottom up and watch a noob go from freaking out, to learning how to troubleshoot then finally resolving his issue... all of this just by reading the FAQ thread and following some advice found there. I've learned my lesson... read XDA *before* trying to flash a new ROM.
[SOLVED] - Solution was to flash the boot.img from stock ROM. Once I did that the phone rebooted and went into the typical device setup. Now I guess I can update my ROM.
[FIRST UPDATE]
Turns out a lot of exactly what I was looking for is on the FAQ page (first bullet in Q15, no less). Trying what I found there. Please don't blast me with, Maybe you should have read the FAQ... I've been all over the place trying to find something that would work quickly... I only have one phone and I commute into Philly for work so I need a working phone... Now that I've found the XDA HTC ONE X + FAQ, I think I'll be fine. Thanks for the great site... so much info on here to read... good for long train rides.
[ORIGINAL POST]
Hi, I ran into a problem trying to flash CM to my HOX+ (AT&T). I followed the instructions here (wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_enrc2b), but that was for the International version, not the AT&T... Dumb? Guess so, I don't know much about the difference, but it's what happened. I've tried to connect to the phone (per the instructions on the wiki) to adb push the ROM I want to flash, but I keep getting the device not found error. The instructions warn of possible driver error on the PC, but I haven't found a driver yet that will allow me to connect. I can get into recovery (CWM-based Recovery v6.0.2.7) but with no ROM on the sdcard I have nothing to flash and can't figure out how to get the file onto the device. The wiki should probably mention putting the ROM on the device prior to going through the HTC unlock steps, just in case, but maybe they assume a more cautious user than I am. I've tried to flash from sideload, but don't know if that is even possible?
Can someone point me in the right direction, or start asking questions to help me figure out what my next step is? Just want to get back to a working phone...
Thanks!

Hello,
I have an i9300 s3 from Vodafone UK. I first rooted it by following instructions on team android .com (can't post the link due to being a new user).
That worked fine for a few months.
Later I wanted to test out Cyanogenmod so I installed that using the new installer.
I then needed to return the phone to complete stock (I have to return the phone to Vodafone so I need it to be absolutely stock).
I downloaded the most recent Vodafone UK firmware from Sam Mobile (I9300XXELLA):
[again can't post the link]
I then used Odin v1.85 to flash that onto the device.
All seemed to go ok but when the device rebooted it got stuck at the SAMSUNG logo screen. The logo animation completes and then starts again.
I am really new to this. The description above contains my complete experience of rooting and flashing ROMs. Any help would be massively appreciated. Please let me know if I've left out any crucial information. Is it possible to get the phone working again?
Like so many posts before you, factory reset. You may have further problems as you've flashed such an old rom, efs may not mount.
Please search and READ, before posting new threads. Sticky guides in general have all you needed to know.

fixed
Hello,
Thanks for the tip.
The factory reset has fixed it.
Sorry for not reading / searching. It's one of those things where you get so scared that you've bust the phone that you freeze up and don't think clearly. Needed another's guidance to unfreeze.
Thanks.

4G LTE doesn't work
Hi, I have a problem from one day to another I can't connect to LTE. Any idea about the problem?
Please remove this stupid 10 post restriction. I got my 10 posts and it's still not allowing me to post in the main thread. Maybe it needs 11? Argh.
Pantech discover issues
I have a pantech discover unlocked running ICS 4.0.4 and m facing following issues:
The soft keys work only 5-10% of times and I have to use button savior app for using phone. Sometimes they work normally and most times they simply do not respond at all. Is it ROM related issue or hardware issue? I have already factory reset the phone without any positive outcome.
My phone always sticks to 4G network and consumes a lot of battery. In settings there is no option to choose 2G or 3G network. Usually most android phones have an option to choose between GSM, GSM/WCDMA, etc. This phone does not have any such option in Mobile networks. Is there anything that can be done.
I am running stock ics and tried running AT&T update, it displayed an 248 MB update and downloaded it. I chose to install the update and it booted to recovery and tried installing update but failed after some time and rebooted the phone. Would like to know if there is anything that can be done to update the phone to JB.
I was able to find only two threads on xda for getting phone rooted and only 1-2 ROMS that too stock. Does anybody have a specific link to download roms for it.
I was unable to find phone drivers for Windows, does anybody have a link to them.
How should I update the phone to JB:
1. Running on ICS -> Root -> Install CWM -> Install JB ROM from xda thread
2. Running on ICS -> Officially update to JB -> Root -> Revert to unlocked ICS bootloader -> Install CWM -> Install JB Rom from xda thread
Any help would be appreciated.
Not Unlocked with Unlocked Bootloader
Hi! i am new here but i have been having some success. my unlocked discover was locked by ATT when i did their 4.1.2 upgrade. Since then i have rooted my discover, i have installed the clockwork mod, i have installed the unlocked loader and the checksums match. Unfortunately when i put my T-Mobile sim back in, the phone is still network locked. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a fix available? If I can download the custom rom and get a matching checksum would flashing that fix things? Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully you can see that I am trying to do my part.

Update and stuck on at&t logo
So, after much thought I followed the method two i.e.
Running on ICS -> Officially update to JB -> Root -> Revert to unlocked ICS bootloader -> Install CWM -> Install JB Rom from xda thread
Unfortunately, as soon as I updated it to JB, the phone rebooted after update and since then it is stuck on at&t logo.
The JB update overwrote my cwm recovery, flashed the locked JB bootloader and unrooted phone as well.
I can enter stock recovery and fastboot but to no use as the bootloader is locked and phone is not rooted.
I have tried wipe data and cache without any positive outcomes.
I have worked out following possible solutions:
1. Install stock jellybean rom via adb sideload as this is an option in stock recovery
2. Flash stock rom using PDL download software update mode, however, I do not have software for flashing and nor stock rom.
Any kind of help will be deeply appreciated.
Anyone?
Any kind of replay will be deeply appreciated.
How come this phone does not have stock roms available??
Also, a pdl download software upgrade method not available???
Is there a link for a flashable JB rom link or JB update link from where I can download JB rom or update and flash it onto phone via adb sideload!!!
Kindly help as m in a fix and moving around without a phone. :crying:
