Ordered one at 2:18 central as well, but I agree with this guy. I'll believe it when it gets shipped. This will be my 3rd concurrent order, with two of them getting cancelled as soon as one ships.
As far as I'm concerned, there's no way in hell I'm paying full price and/or tax when Asus ships the CG dock five weeks after the tablet. I'll wait another 14 days to get it from PCNation at the lower price without tax; consider it my inconvenience charge.
No tax for me in California. My pre-order with shopblt.com keeps getting pushed back. If I was sure that this current ETA of 2/7 was accurate, I wouldn't mind waiting, but after two delays, who know when it'll actually ship out.
So I'm willing to shell out the extra $25 for the sure thing.

This is my thinking too. The time I'll spend looking for one at a lower price when (IF) they arrive at other retailers is worth at least that much.
I even paid an extra $10 for 2-day shipping

Yup, I'm not counting my chickens yet. I still have my pre-order intact with ShopBLT. If I get a tracking number from Tiger Direct, I'll cancel that order.
Mine did something weird. Went from In-process to Carrier (with note Carrier has been contacted for pick-up and can't be cancelled) then back to In-process. I just got off the phone and was assured that it was not oversold. Like I said, holding on to the old Best Buy backorder until I get a tracking #. Not my first time at the rodeo

You could have been had a keyboard dock by now. Newegg gets them every now and then. I got lucky 3+ weeks ago. I recommend you do the same. There's no telling when you receive any from BB, if they haven't responded to you by now.

Not for champagne. Yesterday was the very first time they went up anyplace and it was only for about 10 minutes on Newegg. All the other dock alerts have been for gray. No one has had or been shipping out the champagnes. That's why I'm still holding on to the old BB order. BB said that Asus said the production on the champagne had been delayed.

Freaking amazon just emailed me and said that I can preorder the prime again tonight midnight pst. At first I thought it was for ordering...but it said pre-order. No telling when I'm going to get that ****. After they screw me over....Would I still check it out....damn it...I would. I'm desperate right now. Gamestop better have that **** tomorrow. I re-pre-ordered from amazon last night I just did it quick and did not really pick a shipping. I just changed my shipping to 1 day shipping and it gave me free 1 day shipping so everyone who as not selected 1 day shipping may want to give it a shot could be totally free.

Well, I'm pretty sure the CSR is wrong here. February is far-fetched I would think. I also placed an order last night for the 32GB Grey, hoping that either Amazon or Best Buy will get me one soon, as this was supposed to be a Christmas present for my parents.

They are admitting to screwing up: "We wanted to let you know your order for Transformer TF201-B1-GR (10.1-Inch Screen) Tablet was inadvertently canceled by our system. We're very sorry about this. "

ASUS isn't silent at all. Here's what they said to Engadget:

I used Amazon checkout and got an email instantly with an order number. Their Amazon ratings are actually quite high, which makes me feel better. The CSR did say that they were going extremely fast and when I just checked their page it doesn't come up anymore, so I think I may be good!

If its a legit retail store I dont think you got scammed. They're probably just unorganized. Just like the Fry's in California. I love that store but I cant trust them to get my orders straight.
I ordered immediately after seeing this post yesterday and chose the google checkout option. I received a Google order number but not an Electronics Express one immediately.
This morning, I called them to check if by some 'Christmas Miracle' I was lucky enough to order on time. They couldn't look my order up by number, so they asked the model number. My heart sank when he came back and said, " I'm very sorry sir, but it looks like we will be cancelling this order, we had more than 79 orders come in immediately and don't have that many in stock yada yada and so on."
So I replied, "Ok please cancel my order then."
He then said, "We will automatically sir, and we will send you an email to notify you when we do."
I already have a pre-order in at amazon from when they re-opened ordering on Monday, so I was expecting to have to wait 'till late Jan when I received this this evening:

I really think Asus is doing some quiet back tracking and recalling a lot of these tablets that was sent to US.
This would explain why the local Best Buy's in my area were quite confident that they're shipment was going to be here by the 19th and soon changed their tune to that they didn't know how soon they would get them and that they were suppose to get them earlier but Asus pulled their shipment and they've pulled their new shipment.
I really think that story from Canada about the faulty Primes were true and Asus is being super hush about it with in regards to the US.
This is why there have been so few sold here following the launch.

I assume they figure early adopters wouldn't give a crap. Which they rarely do. I'm just glad we're going to get a next rev tablet. Maybe we'll see an improvement. Maybe they'll carve a hole out of that aluminum slab to fit a proper antenna.

OK guys, amazon messed us up big time. So what I suggest we all do is, wait for them to credit us the 10 dollar they promised and then cancel any orders you have with them and go to another place.
I mean I got my prime from gamestop last night, but still have 2 on preorder from amazon. They got the nerve to send us an email and say we can preorder again and we waited til midnight to do it, and we got the same date as people ordering much later. That's so not right. You'd think they would have it sooner. So by friday you all should be getting the 10 dollar amazon promised. If not call them and as soon as you get it. Drop the preorder.

Curious to know, were you planning on buying 2 preorders from Amazon or were you going to cancel one or both so they would have to change their inventory allotment again for distribution of preorders? (hint about wherein lies at least part of the problem)

To answer your number 2 question. I order 2, but intend on only keeping one, whichever was available first. At that point I also rushed to preorder at other sites because I had only originaly ordered one from amazon. Seeing as how amazon canceled my order and seeing how there is delays everywhere, I decited to order from several different places hoping that I would get one of them. You see, if Amazon would keep my ONE order, I would not have to run all over the place ordering everywhere else, including reordering 2 from amazon hoping to get one. It turns out that I did get one from gamestop, which now will force me to cancel both amazon orders. You think I like buying from gamestop? I hate them, and I also hate paing taxes. I could have saved by buying from amazon, which I want to, but they have failed me and they failed again on the second preorder sending me back to the end of the line.

Expedited, not highest, and ordered abut 4.5 hours after they opened this up on friday, about 9 pm eastern time on the east coast, where I am. And got my tracking number about an hour ago.
Also ordered one regular shipping about 7:30 eastern time, an hour and a half before, no tracking number yet.
I ordered on 11/25 with standard ground (free) shipping, got my tracking on the 19th and an ETA of 12/28...
I preordered the 32gb grey on 12/3 with standard shipping and still haven't received a shipping confirmation or tracking #. Really pisses me off to see people who ordered a couple days ago with tracking #s already. Mine has been stuck on "in process - usually ships in 1-2 days" since early last Thursday. What is going on here?
i just received a UPS tracking number. i ordered [32G Gray] at 5:25 PM MST on the 23rd, and chose the free shipping option.

First, I know that you're talking about BB because I've been following that thread. Others will have no idea what you're talking about. BB's ordering and fulfillment is FUBAR. To the point it made the national news. Most likely, just like the original pre-order fiasco, many people that tried to order the Grey unit meant as a swap for screwed up Champagne pre-orders will get a cancellation notice. Even with the first pre-orders, people got tracking numbers only to have their orders canceled because there were no units in the warehouse to physically ship. With BB, you can't say your order's succesful until you see the package show in transit on the UPS or FedEx website. And after the first round of this, there's not going to be a lot of sympathy for people that subjected themselves to it again.
Seriously, no need to created another thread. Just post in the one of many other threads.
Just be patient, im sure they got hundreds of orders to fill and are doing their best.

but people have called best buy saying indeed they have units in... not to mention that they charged me money, last time every bodies charges were pending and then canceled. My money was legitimately taken from my account.

I agree but at the time of purchase, Fry's was selling it at $499 and Amazon for $650!!! for almost $700 (tax included), I got both they keyboard and the Prime where Amazon would have been $800 more.
Plus, no wait.

I went into shock when I saw that too
You just have to wait for amazon to offer it as a official seller (how I got mine).
But I get next day shipping for 3.99 with my free 6 months of amazon prime.

Actually, Amazon has never sold the Prime for anything more than its retail price ($499 for 32GB, $599 for 64GB). Those inflated prices are by people just using Amazon as a storefront. Worse than the inflated price, maybe, is that you don't likely get the same return policy as with Amazon. Basically, buying from those people is pretty much exactly like buying off of eBay.

I got the last one Fry's has on any of their stores in So. Cal. a couple of week ago. I drove from O.C. (Santa Ana) to Oxnard in Ventura county to get it but luckily I had work to do there so my company (I drive a company car) paid for the gas to go there and get it. My gps doesn't work but I was aware of the problem when I purchased it, that is why I still use a Garmin Nuvi 660 for my gps navigation.

I ordered mine from Gamestop online. It's Going to be here Tomorrow (2/20). I ordered it Wednesday (2/15). It would of been here Friday (2/17) Originally, paid $24 to overnight it. Since I never purchased on Gamestop.com with that expensive of a order & different shipping address from Billing address, the system put it on hold till I called from my Billing phone number (Never received email they said they sent). That was Thursday (2/16). Next day called up, to find out cause still never got my shipping notification email. something happened where kicked that error up again, this time the rep said to ship it's verified. Later that day Friday (2/17) i received the email saying there was a issue to call this phone number. This point I am getting way beyond pissed, so called yet again, lady said no it's all set that she just sent emails out. It will be here Tuesday. So I said that's it, I'm NEVER shopping at Gamestop again. I buy all my games and accessories for all my consoles there. I have PSP, PS3, WII, XBOX 360. Plus I purchase their powerup subscription. She was very apologetic for all my issues, explained why everything happened. Then she have me the overnight shipping for free.
On Wednesday before I ordered I wanted to make sure they had it available,.only one they had was the grey 32GB Bundle. It comes with a Bluetooth controller (Looks like a aftermarket PS3 controller). He said that there was a few hundred left of that, but are going fast.

Few hours later I got email with tracking number I go on UPS to check, sure enough it said Monday.

Thanks man. Oddly it is saying my local Game Stop at the mall has stock "been checking for days" lol & swore i checked today. But sure enough it says tonight after they are closed they have some. Gonna call first thing in the am. If they don't i'll order one. I hate waiting, even for 1 day .
