Actually they're showing 3 in stock on Amazon for Electronic Express but the price is $575 + $19.95 shipping. Clearly way over priced.

I used Amazon checkout and got an email instantly with an order number. Their Amazon ratings are actually quite high, which makes me feel better. The CSR did say that they were going extremely fast and when I just checked their page it doesn't come up anymore, so I think I may be good!

If its a legit retail store I dont think you got scammed. They're probably just unorganized. Just like the Fry's in California. I love that store but I cant trust them to get my orders straight.
I ordered immediately after seeing this post yesterday and chose the google checkout option. I received a Google order number but not an Electronics Express one immediately.
This morning, I called them to check if by some 'Christmas Miracle' I was lucky enough to order on time. They couldn't look my order up by number, so they asked the model number. My heart sank when he came back and said, " I'm very sorry sir, but it looks like we will be cancelling this order, we had more than 79 orders come in immediately and don't have that many in stock yada yada and so on."
So I replied, "Ok please cancel my order then."
He then said, "We will automatically sir, and we will send you an email to notify you when we do."
I already have a pre-order in at amazon from when they re-opened ordering on Monday, so I was expecting to have to wait 'till late Jan when I received this this evening:

Full price personally. I'm assuming Amazon isn't getting as many as they initially thought which is why they are canceling many orders. Possibly why they aren't listed on Asus' preorder page as well as why they stopped taking orders before everyone else.

Everyones orders whose has been canceled are removed from their history. You can reference your original email or the one they sent stating it was canceled. Again I suspsect they aren't receiving a whole lot of initial shipment and probably decided it best to let people re-order on a first come first serve basis once they do. Hence why they stopped taking orders and their product pages aren't even visible without originally having the url.
Ouch! Guess supply will be short this season...

I ordered my original TF from Frys back in June and they were one of the few online retailers that actually had stock... I'm thinking I'll pre-order here as well.
Just an FYI. Fry's have restocking fees (hopefully you'll love it and not want to return it). And the Tempe AZ store have real a-holes working customer service.
I just called Fry's. The good news is they have somebody answering the phones this late. The bad news is the guy said he has no idea when they are supposed to get the TFP in stock or when they are supposed to ship. He seemed to be looking through their system for an answer but couldn't find one.
I got a preorder in at bestbuy for the 32gb model also. Now on the bestbuy website it says coming soon instead of preorder.

Given that Fry's is one of the sites that is still listing a preorder, I find it curious that so few seem to have preordered from them.

Thanks for the heads up about the restocking fee, I don't remember seeing that before. Oops. I don't like restocking fees, but I don't know if I can bring myself to cancel this preorder. Too possible that it's the one that comes through.

With the TF 101 Rollout, Frys was the first retailer I recall to get inventory on the shelf for local pickup.
I preordered my 32gb champagne transformer through Frys earlier today with 'Overnight' shipping, order status says "Order Being Processed".
Frys will likely get a good amount of stock the same time every other online retailer does. I'm pretty confident that they'll ship before christmas.

Hard to get more, when you hadn't gotten any 32gb gray yet. Those are the ones that were canceled, and now allowed to re-pre-order.
They are admitting to screwing up: "We wanted to let you know your order for Transformer TF201-B1-GR (10.1-Inch Screen) Tablet was inadvertently canceled by our system. We're very sorry about this. "
Bring me the head of the one who inadvertently canceled our orders, yea verily.
Btw, check your original order number (from Nov 22/23), and you'll notice that it's the same order number from this morning - if you re-re-re-pre-ordered...

ASUS isn't silent at all. Here's what they said to Engadget:
ASUS started filling the inventory pipelines this past week for our new Eee Pad Transformer Prime and will continue to do so on an expedited basis for the foreseeable future. We will reach normal inventory levels in January for the North American market based on current orders and forecasts. Ordered one at 2:18 central as well, but I agree with this guy. I'll believe it when it gets shipped. This will be my 3rd concurrent order, with two of them getting cancelled as soon as one ships.
As far as I'm concerned, there's no way in hell I'm paying full price and/or tax when Asus ships the CG dock five weeks after the tablet. I'll wait another 14 days to get it from PCNation at the lower price without tax; consider it my inconvenience charge.
No tax for me in California. My pre-order with shopblt.com keeps getting pushed back. If I was sure that this current ETA of 2/7 was accurate, I wouldn't mind waiting, but after two delays, who know when it'll actually ship out.

This is my thinking too. The time I'll spend looking for one at a lower price when (IF) they arrive at other retailers is worth at least that much.

Yup, I'm not counting my chickens yet. I still have my pre-order intact with ShopBLT. If I get a tracking number from Tiger Direct, I'll cancel that order.
Mine did something weird. Went from In-process to Carrier (with note Carrier has been contacted for pick-up and can't be cancelled) then back to In-process. I just got off the phone and was assured that it was not oversold. Like I said, holding on to the old Best Buy backorder until I get a tracking #. Not my first time at the rodeo

You could have been had a keyboard dock by now. Newegg gets them every now and then. I got lucky 3+ weeks ago. I recommend you do the same. There's no telling when you receive any from BB, if they haven't responded to you by now.

My order has a timestamp of 4:03:23 pm (TigerDirect is on EST so about 7 minutes before yours) and it still says "Order Status: In Process - Your order is in process at our warehouse."

Not for champagne. Yesterday was the very first time they went up anyplace and it was only for about 10 minutes on Newegg. All the other dock alerts have been for gray. No one has had or been shipping out the champagnes. That's why I'm still holding on to the old BB order. BB said that Asus said the production on the champagne had been delayed.

Damn, was tempted by this deal and eagerly hit the Add to Cart button... and then it all fizzled out when I saw how much international shipping would cost.

Seems highly dubious. 9 Feedback, 19 sold, seller ships from Shanghai, 上海, China. Previously selling "Austrian Crystal Pearl Brooch Pin" and now Memory cards..
IMHO, too good to be true, I would stay away. YMMV

I just checkout from Buy.com and actually it ships from the same vendor Adorama Camera with notax and free ship. Not sure why you got charge with tax and shipping. Updated the first post

He shouldn't have been charged tax, as Adorama is in NYC, and shipping is free through Adorama, that's weird Buy.com would charge for S&H.

I received my tracking number only a couple of hours after ordering (on a Sunday, no less) but the tracking number still comes up as "not available" on the UPS site.
Looking forward to putting this in.

Is it UPS or UPS Mail Innovations? Either way the tracking should give a delivery date, I chose the free shipping via UPS Mail Innovations (UPS picks it up, transports it to your local US Mail Processing Center, then makes final delivery to your house via regular mail), it has a projected delivery date of April 2nd.
