Hi everyone.
I have Atrix stock 2.3.4/4.5.2A rooted. My BT device is A2DP headset and when I accidentally press any button on it this starts the multimedia player.
Is it possible to disable BT buttons outside of call? I don't need to control multimedia from BT.
Thanks.
Never mind. Found myself.
For rooted devices use AutoStart application.
Group named: "Media button pressed".
... disable everything there...
Thanks for that.

Hi,
I use my iMate Startrek with a set of a2dp headphones (the iMuffs), and I have to manually tell the phone to connect to the iMuffs using a2dp through the "Set as wireless stereo" option in the settings, can this be done automatically?
Another thing is that if I get a call while listening to music, the microphone on the headset doesnt work very well, and I have to shout for the person to hear me. I think that the mic in the headset is not being used. Has anybody had this problem and solved it?
Does anyone know if there are some registry settings that need to be tweaked to get these problems solved?
Thanks a lot.
I use an itech s38 and doesn't have a problem with the mic.
I do have problems with automatic connections.
after setting up properly, if the headset gets disconnected,
the next time it reconnects by itself is always on the headset profile
and mostly only connects if i make a call
So even when no indicator is shown I would assume that seconds
before ther call is answered the sound would be transfered to the headset
that's not so much of a problem
what really sickens me is that if i wanted to
listen to music via the headset when headset profile is connected
i would have to
1.hit the stick once to go to comm manager
2.hit "2" to turn off BT
3.exit to make sure action is done
4.hit center to go to comm manager again
5.hit "2" turn it on (making sure it doesn'ty connects to headset profile first)
6.hit Settings to go to BT settings (hit one or enter to getto that's two presses)
4.hit menu
5.hit devices
6.hit menu
7.hit set as wireless stereo
8.hit done
9.hit done again
10.hit exit
11.hit start
12.hit windows media
13.mess another big while in windows media playlists
..........
now that's too much ... many places i could use the home button
to exit quickly .. that's not what's frustating
what i need actually is a shortcut to the BT devices page
and a smarter profile to connect to wireless stereo for me
without having to turn off headset profile first
I am using HP Stereo Bluetooth headset with my QTEK 8500. It works fine besides the reconnection. If I turn the headset off in order to reconnect I have to go to the BT settings and set the headset to Stereo Headset again. I beleive your problem ocurs because your headset is also a handsfree headset, which HP is not.
I do beleive this behaviour is by design. Although I do not seen to understand the logic behind it.
Hi, just wondering anyone able to get phone call with bluetooth headset. I was able to connect bluetooth headset successfully but when making call, i can't hear the voice from other party. But playing music was ok. Someone pls help and confirm. Just wondering is my root and rom problem.
in addition, calling using viber can use bluetooth headset without problem.
Thanks alot
Once you have paired your device, long press it in Bluetooth settings then select options and select 'Tablet' for phone calls to be sent to it.
Tablet = Phone audio
Media = All other audio
So has anyone figured out how to use a bluetooth headset without root
Were you guys actually able to get it to pair and connect to the headset profile? not just the "media" profile?
I don't seem to have a tablet profile but I'm sure that's because I am not rooted (Evo View 4g)
FWIW, I know many of you have a MW600 BT stereo, but I have the 980, which has the integrated headphones, no FM radio.
I have been struggling to get the unit to work with the bt on the prior releases of android on the X10, but 2.3.3 and PowerAmp has done the trick.
First it took me a while (and a read of the Android 2.3 manual) to figure out that if you long pressed the device name in the BT Settings, you would be able to see what profile options are available for each device. The default for my headset was Phone Audio and not the Media output. I wasn't getting any music or video sounds through my buds, this was easily corrected, now that I found the place to do so.
Second, my forward/back, start/stop worked sometimes, but not all the time. And the call button did the same thing as the start/stop button did. This made it impossible to initiate voice commands without using the screen. Voice command via BT is one of the most important functions when driving a car. Voice is much improved in 2.3.3, IMHO. Anyway, changing the Headset Options in PowerAmp to "Respond to Headset Buttons" appears to now let me fully control the music from the 980's dongle. It also seems to be able to distinguish from the microphone located button (which it shouldn't based on the manual and past experience) as the "Call" button. Pressing the Call button brings up the Google Voice Search App which now lets you do most everything with commands. Even the reject call function is functioning.
Third, the 980 can scroll and select via BT from your phonebook. This is fully functioning, as is the retrieval for the Call List. A popup notification for the enabling of the request was needed on the phone, with a option to 'always allow.' Once this was done the Caller ID's number (but not name) info also showed on the dongle.
Unfortunately, the 980 has two more functions which the BT stack in 2.3.3 standard still doesn't support. Display of the file name while playing music. This was enabled in ATT's version for the x10 in v1.6. The other item missing is the time from the display.
PowerAmp also has a BT priority bump option to smooth out playback when the phone is doing other things.
I was considering purchasing another BT headset or a car unit, now I can save my money for something else.
Hi there,
I like to stream music through my headphone jack to my car when I'm driving, but still use my bluetooth headset. So I've setup the bluetooth settings to disable media through bluetooth but to allow phone. Problem is, every time my bluetooth reconnects to my phone, it resets those settings and it starts streaming music through my headset...
Is anyone else having these issues? Is there a solution?
Thanks
I've noticed the exact same behavior; would it be considered a bug? If so, does HTC have an avenue to receive bug reports?
On other Android phones I have/had, when you disable a particular Bluetooth profile for a device, it seems to remember that upon reconnection.
Get "Bluetooth auto connect " on play store. By Jacob Klos. GREAT APP!!! Used 2+years. Sets profiles and more. Also has tasker plugin and frequent updates. Free app
Hope this helps. Hit thanks if you wish. Cheers

My girlfriend has a Nexus 7 and I have a Hisense Sero 7 Pro. I have one bluetooth receiver in my car and another bluetooth headset. When either tablet is conencted to either bluetooth device, pressing the call button does nothing. I have tried autovoice with tasker with no luck. Is there anyway to get these tablets to recognize when the bluetooth button on the bluetooth devices is pressed? I notice in the menu in settings for each bluetooth device that there is only the option for "use for media audio" and not "use for call audio." If this is the reason is there anyway to modify jelly bean 4.2 to add the use for call audio option?
As an update, I do notice my Sero 7 Pro doing something in the taskbar when I press the button, and it is causing music playing in power amp to pause for a couple seconds, but nothing activates in the apps I have set to activate. It appears that the tasker icon appears and disappears when this happens, but the tasker profile I have set for this action does nothing, and when I try bluetooth launch app, nothing happens. Is no one able to get the bluetooth call button to work on their tablet?
