Alright! So right now, after some searching, February appears to be the month. If you go to the telstra home page (http://www.telstra.com.au/mobile/phones/smartphones.html), and click the software tab, it appears the HTC Sensation release is due late February, while it has the HTC Velocity update listed as Late February/Early march.
Get excited guys
Oh and double win, RIM is finally going to release 2.0 for the playbook
ICS for Amaze will be released on Feb 27. It's on the Mayan Calander.

I'm thinking we'll see a leaked RUU (ala Sensation) and about a month and a half after that we'll see the actual OTA
How is HTC with releasing updates? I am coming from the LG optimus 2x which is and will always run froyo as the official release.
I would have to say 12/21/2012... when the world ends
I am thinking they are going to release it whenever they release it, maybe. or they will probably just release it before that

Last night when I was checking my bill at sprint.com I saw that both the Evo 3D and Evo View are both on the site with "coming this summer" tags. I took a snapshot of the spec sheet on both, but can't upload them here because I'm a new user.
They are still available for viewing on the sprint website.
fyi
I think that by saying available this "summer", we are almost certainly NOT going to see it in the second quarter. If so Sprint would have said that. July at the earliest.
im guessin they will come out around june like the last evo did if not both then just the evo will.

Nope, it's June 4th. Pre-orders start May 19th. I suggest Radio Shack, Best Buy, or Car Toys, because you won't have to worry about MIRs.
I cant help but feel the 3D is gimmicky... but that dualcore processor isnt Im strongly considering pre-ordering
Gimmick or not, you can turn it off in a second... can't wait
here a site from sprint that has a post of the realease luanch date of evo 3d might be that date 4-11-2011

launch date
I am a RC for Sprint in Texas, and I can tell you right now that the EVO3D will not be launching this month.
Our advocate devices (which I should be receiving) come middle of next month, the consumer devices will be June.
I can almost promise that the launch date will be the latter half of June. But, this is how the cellular community functions. Pivotal releases ALWAYS happen in June.

Just spoke with a sprint rep and asked about the E3d. The rep told me the initial date for E3d was july 3rd. The rep then went on to sassy that date has since been cancelled. So considering that sprint is not even accepting preorders or even announcing a release date june 4th is a bit unrealistic. Personally for me the sooner the better however I am a realist and a june 4th release date with the company not even announcing preorders seems a but unrealistic. A realistic date would be more a july/august date though I hour much sooner.

Why do people even bother talking to Sprint reps? No offense but they do not know any more than we do. Some info will probably be leaked online before the reps even know about it.

Truthfully, if this doesn't hit until August, I might consider waiting for the quad cores promised for the end of the year. At this point, August is 3 months away. If I only have to wait another 3 or 4 months after that for 2 more cores, that doesn't sound like a bad way to go.
Sprint reps giving unannounced release dates are as accurate as weatherman
GIMMMMMMMIEEEEEE!!!!
And thanks for sharing this! =D
why do people doubt this info. Seems legit to me. as far as sprint announcing anything they didn't announce the nexus till about a week before it came out so it is not hard to believe the same will happen with this phone. Have faith people cuz I sure do
I'm as excited as anyone, but does nobody else read "rough" as meaning "this is our best guess"?
This is RadioShack after all, and as it says on the very same screen, they have absolutely no pricing info. I simply see this as a RadioShack manager optimistically entering the date in since it's the anniversary of the Evo 4G and the release is clearly relatively soon.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up...

Do you think it was an error that they did not put an (*) by the Evo3D, to indicate that it was a US handset? Just wondering... They could not just update the GSM and leave the CDMA one in the dust, right?

Sprint will begin to rollout Google's latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, to our customers in early 2012. Ice Cream Sandwich will be available via an over-the-air update to a variety of devices including HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and other key products in our line-up. While I'd like to have it then, I highly doubt they will have it out that quickly to us evo3d owners. Took them almost 6mo to push out GB to the evo4g given you prolly could add a month or so of delay associated with the evo3d release then bc it'd be dumb to update the evo4g then release the 3D shortly after...
Just find it odd they say early next yr which would Indicate before April in my book, really b4 march ends. Now begs the question how they couldn't get GB out on evo4g by March this yr either....

I agree that this probably won't happen until June. It's highly unlikely that HTC will stick to the plan of "early 2012".

Seems like I had a fully working Sense based GB rom on my Evo 2 months before it officially released. April maybe?
I'm looking forward to the leaks .vs the official build which will be 1/2 way old by the time it really launches.
What will suck is being stuck on the leaked stock ICS/Sense kernel for what will feel like forever.
at least we know were getting it. you wan't htc/sprint to "get off their asses"? how bout you go out and make a near perfectly working product for the masses and figure out how to deliver it effectively then. hmmm?
Well, we can always hope!
It seems that in the past we never really new when until it said "you have an update" on your phone. A lot of rumors and a lot of speculation.
I am hoping that article is correct. I am envisioning a December 19th or 26th update. Merry Xmas from us to you kind of thing.
I think that our chances of getting a update soon are strong. With the last major Android that Sprint released being in September(Epic Touch on Sept. 16th). Other carriers are releasing some big phones. Verizon has Nexus Galaxy and Razor(Mid November), At&T with the Vivid and Skyrocket(Nov 6th), and T-mobile with the Amaze.
Some of these phones might not be "better" but they are all newer.
Evo is Sprint's flagship phone. These are all just my opinions. But, we will know for sure pretty soon. Sprint is going to have to do something for the xmas shoppers. We will see what that is.

Oh, it's capable, but that doesn't mean HTC is going to waste any time on it.
If it comes, it will be via independent developers.
I find it hard to believe they will be putting out an update for a device over 18 months after release. If they do, we would of already had several nicely working ICS builds in our development section

As a former Captivate owner, we didn't get a gingerbread update till January but leaked betas for an official Captivate AT&T branded update started leaking out in June of last year. Even the Flyers HC rom leaked out early. We have nothing for ICS, developer's are running blind on it, and by now we should have some sort of leak if we were getting it.

Though I am having hc since the days I bought my HTC flyer 6 months ago, HTC has released hc in India just yesterday. Even HC was released way too late worldwide as well and even leaks didn't occur too early.
Tablets with one by third the hardware of HTC flyer are coming with ICS currently.
But, I, personally won't wait for it.
I have firm belief in developers here. Just a matter of few days and a few donations to keep them motivated, and we will have ICS soon.

If Google releases jelly bean before November I'll be disappointed. Personally they should just stick with ics and continue to tweak it for a couple years but I know that won't happen.
