Hey is there anyway to get DSP Manager working on sense ics roms because I have tried so many versions of DSP Manager and non would produce sound changes. I even tried the ics version of DSP Manager and still no working. What files are needed to get it working. Some people said you need certain lib files or something but it still did not work.
Also none of the market equalizers work as well.
I like DSP Manager too but I've started using Volume + since ICS hit. Same diff...

I want to know how DSP Manager is working so i can fix it...
I flashed 3 different ROMs and in all of then SOUND WAS TERRIBLE...
I flashed DSP and tried even flashing it but when i try increasing bass it sound realy awfull like glass breaking...
The only thing i could do to fix the sound was flashing BEATS AUDIO, but it aren't configurable(like DSP Manager) and then DSP Manager/PowerAMP and etc give me ForceClose everytime i open them...
***(With miks CM7 everything was fine, after flashing dynamite,ISC,phoenix sound goes f**** up...)***
I also had this problem some days ago..use the soundfx libs provided in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167080
if you want to use beats audio w/o dsp manager fc, use this tweak
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642961
and if still dsp manager fc's, use dsp manager apk I have attached
tested and worked for me in oxygen 2.7
*Already tried one soundfix didn't work but i can see this one is different and it's for my current ROM -> andy's void...
Will try it and then post back....
ANYWAY will it work becose i have already flashed AUDIO BEATS from original thread or i'll have to reflash Void again...
((( Either the name is wrong or the link is...
The second thread link:
There is thread for the "beats audio w/o dsp manager fc' but it's not THAT LINK...
and sorry but i don't need that kind of program...already tried many of them and none worked... )))
I'm having a spot of trouble trying out the ViPER4Android DSP plugin on my phone. While I have the corresponding apps and drivers installed, I'm unable to enable the DSP effect owing to fact that there is no "Music Effects" option in the Sound settings menu.
Is there some way to restore this option to the menu? I'm using an AOSP-based stock 4.0.4 ROM on my Huawei Ascend G600. Perhaps it can be done through the terminal/shell scripts or an init.d script?
Thanks in advance.
download this "dropbox.com / s / trd6cr60vmc7o0g /MusicFX.apk" not my dropbox .. credit to the owner , install as system app and give full permission after restart take a look in sound menu .. tested on C8813D
Hey, thanks I'd actually used another app (from a chinese forum) to add VFX to the list of enabled audio effects but it's always useful to have other options The APK you linked, however, didn't work - Might be it was meant for a different version of Android. But it got me looking for it elsewhere and I found this, and it works.
Im facing similar issue and tried Aung3 solution. It didnt work(still no "music effects" menu in sound settings).
Can anyone offer alternative solution? I cannot set V4A on my S3 mini due to this missing settings menu.
(if that matters, im using this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280401)
Thanks
Hi friends,
I have a Xperia Sola Android with 4.0.4 Original ICS Sony.
I performed the procedure of unlocking the bootloader and install ClockworkMod recovery and superuser;
Happens to me that the default application for music, Walkman not download info music, and through the forum Sony I was told that due to the fact that the bootloader has been unlocked.
I've so installed Apollo and with this (great) player goes all right, though, and I said to myself, I would like to also install the dsp manager CyanogenMod.
Yesterday I tried it, I did before a copy of the firmware and then I installed the dsp-mamanger of cyanogen, but unfortunately I realize that does not produce any better sound effect.
Then I tried with others, viper4Android, AC! D Audio Engine, Noozxoide EIZO-rewire, without any result! Clearly before to test the new app, revert the smartphone of the previous clean rom.
I also removed MusicFX and Walkman, deleted Dalvik cache but always to no avail!
Someone among you has some useful suggestions for me?
PS
Previously using CyanogenMod 10 project freexperia. Perfect sound (and the rest) except for the fact that is not possible to record video, so I decided to go back to stock, for this bug.
thank you very much

Have you checked that beats audio had compatability with the system equalizer? It's very likely that they have messed each other up somehow. My only recommendation is that you reflash your rom, because getting the equalizer to work is hard without a reflash.
Make a nandroid backup of data, wipe system and reflash, and good luck
Hey guys.
I, and other people for sure, have been using V4A as a go-to equalizer app for some time. However, I've noticed that it suddenly stopped working on any rom I try to install, be it the stock-based roms or custom ones.
In my case, it began with builds from around September 20. and it goes like this:
I either flash an all-in-one v4a zip(with its libraries, which was the only one that worked for me) or try to install drivers through the app itself.
Now the thing is that no matter if I have Magisk(with or without the "Magisk fix") or the LineageOS SU, it either says that the app doesn't have root permission(even though it has and is shown to be allowed in the managers) or it says that it installed the drivers, tells me to reboot and asks for a driver reinstall after that and following reinstalls and reboots.
I've also noticed that even the stock Equalizer apps in AospExtended, LineageOS, Citrus-CAF and stock Moto 7.1.1 force close when a song plays and don't affect the music playback when they actually open and are enabled.
I even thought that they might conflict with V4A so I tried deleting them before installing V4A(without positive results).
In the end, Icreated this thread to see if others are facing the same issue or/and know a solution.
