(REQUEST) Simple apk to launch a activity. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all can a make a request for some one to make me a simple apk to add a icon to the app drawer and launch a activity I dont want the app to have a ui I just need it to launch a activity. This will be for a custom ROM. This is a script that would do the same thing.
am start -n com.authentec.TrueSuiteMobile/com.authentec.TrueSuiteMobile.NavigationConfiguration
Also could the app be named Finger navigation. Thanks

By app drawer do you mean the folder that shows your installed apps? If so your request doesn't make sense as all installed apps go there.
If however you mean on your home screen just hold finger down til menu shows and on there choose "application" and then choose the app you want on it. Then it puts the icon on screen for you.

I mean the 1st option some apps dont go into the app drawer basically I know I can just make a shortcut on the desktop to the selected activity but I would like a installable apk that launches the above activity from the app drawer not as a shortcut on the desktop. If any one can make this I will be very greatfull.

The activity is a selected page in a motorola app that moto decided to hide from us.

I don't think you can change them on Open Home Email the dev and request that feature. It's a handy feature, they would probably implement it
Thanks. I've already sent an email. On the atrix there is way too much open real estate with the 4x4 layout

no more room

Every time I download an app it says no more room left on desktop. Even though I unchecked create shortcut it still adds to the desktop!! Anyone come across this? And how to get rid of it?

Click to collapse
So in the Play Store app, in settings, you UNchecked the option "Auto-add shortcuts"? I ask, because you said you unchecked "create shortcut", but I don't have that option with that exact name on my phone...
is it the same app creating shortcuts or all the apps you [email protected]?
if it is one app, if it creats shortcut everytime you run it, it is created by application. If it creates sjortcut everytime you downloaded and inatalled it, it is created by play market.
are you using touch wiz home or 3rd party home app?if it is 3rd party home and was told no room on screen while actually you have, there may be some incompatibily and you can try other home app or report the issue to developer.

"Settings Shortcut" widget

I'm wondering where the settings shortcut widget is. I used to use it all the time on my Note 2, and Google searches aren't helping. Does this not exist anymore? =(

I don't have a widget for it. But there is a shortcut under apps that you could drag to the desktop. It's in one of the folders I forget which (maybe the sprint or samsung ones) as I've moved a bunch of things around on my phone.
However I am completely stock still and definitely have the shortcut in my app drawer.

So did they take that feature off? I really like being able to access the Bluetooth and WiFi setting by clicking on an icon (made by settings widget).

[Q] Custom apps in the "recent" app section?

Hey. So I thought about this before.
Are there any mod that allows you to put custom apps in that quick app section when you press recent button? Thea area where you can quickly close apps etc. At the bottom you can place a couple selected apps.
You can add custom made mini apps. Just drag them down by tapping and holding.
