I was installing 4.0.A.2.368 in my sk17i using wotanserver when suddenly the following error occurs
*CUST file write failed
*ERROR: file header write failed
Now when I try to turn on my phone
appears a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle and one cell phone to the right and shortly after the phone turn off again
COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

you can download on Sonyericsson official website,its full name is Sonyericsson update service.Follow the software's guidance,you can fix it.

Yes, with SEUS you can repair your phone if it doesn't boot. SEUS is the Sony Ericsson Update Service, although you can use PC Companion too.
I managed to solve my problem using SEUS

Where did you get that info from? That has to be incorrect. I even tried looking myself and found nothing close to that. But what a nice idea that would be nice to have.

could any one help me to repair me sony ericsson xperia ray
i was unlocked the bootloader successfully
later i had an update so i do it then the device become off
and when i try to power on it, it was flashing with green light

Waiting for device!! Reinstall your adb driver if you dont have search xda!! Den in flashboot tool Der is driver.exe install dat put fone in software download mode and connect @ flashtool or wotanclient!! I suggest wotanclient cz it doesnt ask to put fone in debugging mode!! Hopefully it work all best wishes to bring your fone back from brick!!

and the two above programs still working and when the operation is done by any one of them,,, no think happen

hey guyzz, i have sony LWWand i think i have a problem right now. I updated my phone via SEUS by it didn't update said' failed to update. Then i did the same thing with sony pc companion n same msg was shown, i.e. update failed. Now my phone is not starttin, wen i press da power button it just vibrates for a while n nothing happens, wen i connect it to a charger, green led glows but nothing happens....wat shud i do ??

Okay. So tell me if you have root or not. If your bootloader is unlocked or not. If you have CWM installed or not?
(Before I help you: I just now broke one of my friend's LWW. I think it was me only. )

i did nothing, my fone is not rooted either, just nothing.
i just wanted to format my fone n card, so i just tried to update my fone after removing card n sim !!
then in da middle of nowhere the update failed and now it's not starting

Okay. So here's what you as a normal Sony Customer do. Take your phone to the Sony Store. And he will repair it there. As it must be still under warranty.
On the other hand, if you want to play with warranty and want to fix it at home, then, download an application called flashtool from the internet. Using this tool, flash the ftf of .42 firmware on to your cell.

No. He got it corrected now. .
He was trying to root a non rootable firmware in a new method as worked out by puppet13th.
The method should have worked in theory, but it did not due to lack of space in phone memory of Till's phone. And that's why it briked.
Now, puppet has worked on the problem, and has edited his project, such that the file which was causing the problem (this file was required for rooting), was removed soon after it did it's job of helping in the root process. .

Hay guys. One of my friend got bricked x10i. I don't know how that phone bricked. He sent me to recover it. When I try to turn that phone its just vibrate and green led light flash for two second nothing else, any one have any idea to unbrick this phone? I think before brick phone was in stock 2.3.3 Rom and locked boot loader.

If you use Sony Update Service, you don't need ftf file. It is all automatic.

Mate, u should relock your bootloader for safety, then u flash stock kernel then u repair USE SEUS = "Sony Ericsson Update Services".
Using Custom Kernel will bricked !!
As a simple answer, you should restore firm kernel and Repair USE SEUS HOpe helped.

Not Wrong Mate
I reflashed just stock firmware, without any reflashing stock kernel, or relocking bootloader numerous times. Always done it with SEUS.

Just so you know, Sony allow you to unlock bootloader so no need to relock, just restock with seus, you will still have ulbl

Hi sir, do you have time? I cant figure out what is wrong with my x10. When i try to flash those Generic Stock Rom, i get to have errors flashing. It aborts sometime when flashing system.sin and other sin depending on the tft file... i dunno what version my phone is but my pc detects it with flashmode. When im using Seus, it fails flashing in about 90% of the process... when booting my phone, just a quick vibrate with green flashes once. Do u have skype account? Hope u have time and can help me. Most of the links in xda our outdated. And i know my phone is outdated too. Thanks and more power

yes I already did it too with seus, the last thing that I did was use S1tool and apply a restore and since then my xperia do not initialize in flashmode
