I had the exact same issue. Mine was due to spaces in the recovery name, however.

Could anyone post it please? I thought it would only delete the default live wallpapers but it deleted the whole option to use live wallpapers on the phone.
And i don't have the backup so it would be nice if someone could post it here.
I dont know the exact name of the apk.

Sorry but flashing is too much work for just one apk file... it would be much easyer if someone just post a file and i would copy it to a system files. This would be alot more safe than flashing
Both files...

Quick question will the above apk files work for any Android device or is there a specific apk. File for each android device I'm wondering if this will work for a Samsung galaxy note I717?

Did you go into system-app-livewallpaperspicker.apk or livewallpapers.apk and delete that, or did you uninstall a live wallpaper? Or maybe turn off scrollable wallpaper? Because I don't remember any CM7 theamed live wallpapers... what ROM are you using? Why don't you just get some flowery live wallpaper from the market?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
"Some flowery live wallpaper from the market?" - Dude, that's just being straight up sexist. GTFO the forums if that's how you're gonna act.
Nisha: Download Titanium Backup from the market, Back up all your apps and reflash the rom. You can use Titanium to restore your apps to the exact same state they were when backed up.
As to the file you deleted, was it an app? Or was it in a system folder or what? Where did you find that file?

Thanks superace...yes, i was indeed in the system folder. I was trying to establish the differences introduced by cyanogenmod...its my first custom rom.
I tried installing one lwp from market and i can use it. So, imo its the apk that i deleted. Can i get that back from somewhere?

Which file did you delete??If you don't know, just copy the zip of your rom to your PC.Open the zip and go to system/app.Then compare the files in the same folder in your system app with a root explorer.See which file you deleted. Now,if you found which one you deleted, copy that apk file to your SD card.Make it a system app and give it the correct perms.I can't give you the perms because i don't know the app you are using...This is pretty much the only thing you can do because you don't want to reflash
Also guys..I would like to remind you guys that profanity is not allowed in xda
Awesome...it worked...thanks alot.

Well, if it was the apk of the wallpaper that you deleted, then you can just download it from the market. Just remember the name or something. Since you deleted the apk itself, then you might have to "uninstall" it from the list of applications then proceed to reinstall.
Like I said, download titanium backup and back up all your apps. That way, no matter what happens to your phone, all your apps will be in the SD no matter what unless you format your SD.
hey man try this
it happens
try this it will help
Flash this
and the wallpaper will come back
have fun
Thanks sam...i got my wps back but am still missing that lovely lwp...can u plz help me with that as well? Sorry for demanding too much.

Didnt you try what i told??Its sure to solve the problem because you can get the full list of the apk files in your custom rom then
Yep...tried that and it fixed the problem as well..but just noticed...the files in zip are odexed...while the zip provided by sam is deodexed. So wanted that as well...i m greedy...gals are usually.

I was dumb and deleted the factory bootanimation. Could someone please post it?
Anyone. Please help.
I think you should be able to just delete the new one you've put in place. If there is none, it will go back to the default. As in, the first time you copied a new one, you didnt have to overwrite the one that was there. There wasn't one.

Thank you, but that didn't work. No the boot animation is just the work "android", not the Asus one.
Please could someone just link it to me. It is located in the system/media folder.

did anyone figure out the 2.89. Super user issue ? besides flashing the zip is there a way to have it in the rom and still maintain root?
i noticed if i push the 3.2 su binary to the phone while its on then give it 06755 permissions it will show thats its working and allow the Superuser to be granted?
has anyone tried to fix this yet??
i been working on it for hours and still no luck..
also i cant get any keyboard to install with a rom is that on my end?

Although he may be developing a new rom, it still belongs in Q&A. Development sections are strictly for development and not questions.

I just grabbed the latest Su from the website and tossed it in with the correct permissions, and seems to be working... I've been workin on a little something too... I had more trouble getting it to boot than anything... But the Su 3.1.3 and binaries is what I used... Now trying to get it deodexed so I can get a few things added in and get a Rom posted... Over the last couple days, I've gained some mad respect for the 3d devs around here... The last Rom I built was a froyo hybrid sense 2/ sense 3 rom for the glacier, and it was nowhere near this frustrating... Even when trying to create it from ota like this one...

I got it booting, just had to use the modules and the boot.IMG from the vm ics Rom... As for the data/app, did you add the functionality to the Rom so it knows to look in that folder for apps?
