Today I rooted my Huawei U8800, I installed Clockworkmod, made a backup, and tried installing a Honeycomb ROM, I put the zip file in my SD card, and booted in recovery mode.
I did the following things: wipe data/factory reset; wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, and tried installing the rom from my SD card, however clockworkmod didn't see the .zip file in my SD card, so I rebooted my phone and it didn't start. Then I chose recovery (from my backup) in Clockworkmod, still didn't work.
I can see the booting screen (it says IDEOS), it stays there for a while and then it just goes black and boots itself again.
Is there any way to fix this issue?

I am currently using mik_os 6.5(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354) and Clockwork Mod recovery. I tried to install 6.5.2 on top of it (wiping cache and dalvik cache) but it gets stuck on the lg logo. After going through the first post, I even formatted /system but that didn't help either.
Finally, I flashed 6.5 and it is working fine. Any pointers would be helpful.
1) mounts and storage/ wipe cache
2) mounts and storage/ wipe system
3) wipe cache partition
4) wipe data or factory reset
5) install zip from sd card
And blowww!! You have 6.5.2 flashed ;-)

Boot into clockwork recovery.
go to backup and restore -create a backup of your current rom (Note:If already backup has been done then avoid this step, backup created using amonra or thunderg wont support restoring using clockwork)
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mount and storage-format system
mount and storage-mount usb storage (make sure usb debugging is enabled)
copy the rom zip file to the root of your sd card
unmount
install zip from sd card-choose the rom zip and install
flashing takes 3-5 min
reboot!
just remeber to backup all ur app using titanium and restore after a fresh install and whnever u update no need to wipe anything just flash over the old version until unless mention by the dev
I didn't want to do a factory reset, however; I still went for it after doing a nandroid backup.
I followed all the steps mentioned by sshbz, but it still got stuck at the boot logo (the one with website address written).
Finally, thanks to the Nandroid backup, I reverted back to 6.5 without having to go through titanium restore.
For 6.5.2, the rom link is given in post 1 and mik_os had also posted a fix for clockword mod users.
I have tried the below
1. Install only the rom
2. Install rom and then the fix
Neither worked. I think I would have to wait for the next update now unless someone can make this work for me.
Hi I have the nook tablet 16 gb. I recently modified the build.prop to spoof it as a Droid 3. I also installed the Eris Market Fix.apk after that. Now the tablet won't start up. It just hangs on a black screen after showing the first 2 loading screens. Is there anything I can do to get it to book back up or restore to factory settings? I've tried doing a factory refresh, as well as the 1.40 sd card (acclaim )method
Thanks! Help would be greatly appreciated.
Make an erase-deregister. But it betterfor you to have CWM eather internal or booting from sdcard once you boot into CWM wipe data, advanced> wipe dalvik cache, reboot system.
WARNING: Do not format other partitions . It is safe to wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and even system but nothing else.

How do I do the erase-deregister? I tried the Reset Factory settings, but that didn't work.
Would Adam Outler's [Unbrick] Ubuntu recovery work for resetting to Stock? I've already flashed it onto an SD card. Should I still do the CWM method instead?

Thank you!

Yes you can use that one but since your issue seems to be caused by an app then wiping data should fix it. If you want try the CWM first wipe data, advanced >> wipe dalvik cache and then reboot system. If it works it will boot normally if don't then use Adam Outler's unbrick image.

I've tried Adam's [Unbrick Method] and using CWM to wipe the Dalvik Cache.
After reboot, both still hang on a backlit black screen after the initial nook loading screens. Should I try booting a ROM through CWM instead?
When making the CWM SD card, I didn't create the 50 mb partition. I just left it as one big 16 gb chunk. Would that affect it?

if it indeed booted CWM from sdcard then the partition size you gave shouldn't be a problem. Try reflashing a new ROM fresh install.

I was able to flash CM7 onto it and get it working!
Thank you so much for the help, lavero.burgos/Veronica
THE PROBLEM: Can't get TWRP to install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD.
So I am using the SD boot files (flashingb boot, MLO, u-boot, and recovery) with openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-acclaim-sdcard.img renamed to altboot.img to try and install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD and GAPPS (an October version?) to EMMC on my Nook Tablet. So what I've done:
SD Card:
1. Formatted card with SDFormatter
2. Partitioned 500MB space in FAT32, set to primary, set to active. Named partition "BOOT"
3. Put on the 4 SDBoot img files, cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD, AND GAPPS
Installing
1. Used recovery.img (pretty much stock recovery) to wipe cache/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik.
2. Rebooted and opened altboot (TWRP), selected install >> external SD >> cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD
3. TWRP says it cannot install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD (bad file). What gives?
I've tried several different zip ROMS, and I've tried reformatting the card several times. I'm stumped. Would really like to get this done and have 10.2 on eMMc. Any tips?
One more important thing, I am not burning the img onto the card with win32diskimager because I didn't think you could "burn" multiple images into one card. So I've been just dragging them in. Still takes me to boot screen, sooooo...........
I guess I am just stuck on how to get TWRP to accurately flash the ROM to eMMC. Should I move the CM10.2 to internal storage and point TWRP there to flash the system?
Is there a reason why that you opted to use TWRP v2.6.3.1?
I'd suggest that you try using CWM v6.0.2.8 (which should be available at http://goo.im/devs/succulent/acclaim/recovery), it's known to work: I used it successfully to flash 10.0 through 10.2 (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43326042&postcount=123 for more info).
Hey,
I'm using CM11 ROM with my I9300.
My phone has a boot loop problem. Few seconds (about 20~30) after it turns on, it goes off.
The problem appeared suddenly, after a night that the device was charged.
Tried deleting cache / dalvik cache / data and didn't succeed.
I'm sure it isn't a problem with the button because on recovery mode I can stay for long as I want.
Thanks
EDIT: I'm not sure I actually succeeded with wiping data/factory reset. when i click on it in the recovery (CWM) it says "wiping data... formatting /data" and turns off 2 seconds afterwards. Is there a way to factory reset the device through PC?
If possible, try making a complete backup on external sd card. Then, wipe data, system, cache and everything else. Next, download a rom suitable for your phone model, copy to external sd card, and then go in custom recovery. There install that rom from external sd card.
Just remember, don't wipe out external sd card, remember to take it out before every wipe. You don't want losing things from your external sd card.

Yesterday i had tried to install a custom rom on my "Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7500 (p4).
I had rooted my tablet using a .zip package and installed it via original recovery, then i installed the CWM recovery using the google play app and superuser permissions.
I had put the cyanogenmod 10.1 zip and the gapps zip on the internal storage, then i entered the recovery mode, wiped up data and cache, and i had installed the rom and the gapps from recovery.
Everything was working correctly, the device was booting up and the system working well but my internal memory was almost full.
So i thought that some old files from the old installatio was remained hidden in the internal storage.
I had rebooted my tablet in recovery mode wiped up data and cache then i had formatted everything shown in clockwork's mounts and storage menu (including format system, data, cahce, and /data and /data/media (/sdstorage).
After that i wasn't been able to find anymore the rom and gapps saved on the internal storage of my device....
So i had installed "android platform-tools adb" to do a sideload install using "install .zip from sideload" of my CWM.
I had done the sideload install and the log of CWM was showing "update installed" so i rebooted my device.
After that the tablet has remained stuck at the Cyanogen boot up logo for hours until the battery was fully drained :crying:
What can i do now? i have to wipe something then do another time a sideload reinstall (or things like that) or i have to use odin for return back in the original firmware recovery rom?
Now is everything ok i have reinstalled the original firmware using odin3- v1.85 and i have downloaded the firmware from sammobile
