Bricked D: - Motorola Droid X2

I'm stuck.
I cant get into RSD mode cause when I hold vol up it just goes into fastboot.
IF I vol down it just blinks and turns off...
What are my options.

Pull the battery then try to boot it normally, after a minute or so it goes into rsd mode

Do you know how to go into android recovery and do a factory reset?

Try pulling the battery and put it back in with the phone off plug in your wall charger and see if your recovery comes up

What were u trying to do before this happened?
*****Have u tried a fully charged battery?*****

U can't sbf if u can't start rsd protocol

my bad
wow do we have a real one?
if I remember well it would always say failed to boot 2 and rsd would be available .
Is this a Dx2?

Apparently he is getting a failed to boot 1 ..I think I remember seeing this before.
It might be in one of the.older sbf tutorial threads...myabe the one by dag425.
It would be helpful (maybe) to know what was being done that caused this to happen.
Hopefully he wasn't messing with bootloader partitions and signatures or something. I think that would he just about the only thing that could hard brick us.

Could it just be hardware failure?

We wont know anything til the OP comes back and give more info on situation

If u hold power and volume up it takes u directly into "starting RSD protocol "
it is the method I have ALWAYS used when flashing sbf

I am stuck here too! I only have two options:
1: fastboot
or
2: nvflash
I have no idea what the hell eather one does so any little help is greatly appreciated for this noob. Thanks in advance...

So I take it yours says "failed to boot 1" also?
Is this Dx2 or mx2?
And you are familiar w/ booting menu: pwr on wait 1/2 (or less) sec then vol down and keep selecting w/ vol dn then vol up to select . Rsd is last.
IDNK WHAT BUT A REAL BRICK!

once you see the fastboot at the top you have to scroll down untill you see android recovery. volume down until you see it. then volume up to enter. then you will get the droid and triangle, hit both volume up and down and the menu will op
**edit** this is the stock recovery, not recovery used to flash roms and create NAND backups.

this is true for BSR system recovery, for stock android recovery you do not need to be plugged in.
U might need to sbf if ur phone can't get into bootstrap via powerdown and plugging in.
or if a data wipe from Android stock recovery doesn't help.
There is a very nice tutorial on how to do it...a couple of em....one is a sticky so its easy to find...

Yeah...sbf isn't really that complicated...especially once u have all files/programs u need already installed it really.is only a 15min process depending on computer speed.
I use my sisters computer and the flash is done within 10minutes every time...
And yeah after rereading the op I also think they were looking for stock recovery.
Power and volume down. Then scroll wit volume down til u see android recovery. Then volume up to enter.
Once.u see triangle &exclamation point press volume up&down together. Presto.
But even still. Every time I have been stuck at M logo I needed to sbf...no amount of data wipes would help me...especially the first time it happen to me since I deleted init and build.prop. DURP! Lol

Not so sure on what kind of Bricked, but bricked regardless...help

I had tried to flash the stock webtop on my atrix 4g, after i had done the webtop mod(due to the screen presses from the phone would not work, and it also would not allow me to have the normal functionality and so i wanted to go back to stock for webtop). Not too sure if I'm able to post the link to where i found the instructions, but i did get it from atrix forums.
But pretty much now, when i turn my phone on, it gets stuck on the Motorola screen with text saying...
Failed to boot 4
Starting RSD Mode
I did read up and saw that from my POV, the best thing would be to get the stock sbf and use RSD Lite and flash it back to the beginning. But a few things do come up,
I found a thread in XDA where it had all the sbf i could want, but they were uploaded into filesonic which will not let me download it.
Would this be the only option for me to go?
Also some background into phone, AT&T Atrix 4g, was running 2.3.4, firmware 4.5.91 and was rooted. Any enlightenment on my pridicament would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time in reading.
First, did you have an unlocked bootloader?
If not, that's your problem.
Second, is there an option to get into recovery?
If so, try to perform a "Factory Reset" within the recovery before trying to use RSD lite (not recommended).

unlocked bootloader, that would be a negative. I guess that was what happened as to why i'm in this situation. But trying to get it back to factory settings, when i turn on the phone and hold down power button and vol down, it shows the Motorolla screen, i keep holding it down...it never shows the option for fast boot or the menu to change to be able to get it back to factory. Unless I'm doing it wrong, but it goes to Motorola screen then waits a bit and then screen turns off. Any ideas? If RSD Lite is not recommended, what's a good try to take? thanks for replying back quite fast.
Just to confirm the steps:
1. Press and hold the volume down button
2. Then press the power button (note: you don't need to continue holding the power button when doing this)
3. Continue holding the volume down button until it says "Fastboot"
If that's what you did then that would be correct. Actually, try just booting it normally and see if it gives you any options while booting.

When I let it boot up without pressing anything, it just says
"Failed to boot 4"
"Starting RSD mode"
When i hold down vol down button for a bit nothing. I did notice though if i press the vol down button directly after i get "failed to boot 4" it blinks something real quick and then the screen goes black(which then i would have to take out the battery and put the batter back in). ...but what flashes, i believes says nvflash.
If i press volume up button after it says "Failed to boot 4" it gives me..
"Starting Fastboot protocal support"
So with no touch, "Starting RSD mode".
Vol down, I think it says nvflash
Vol up, Starting fastboot protocal support.
Well, when it says "Starting Fastboot protocol support" it means it is in fastboot but I don't know for sure what you could do from other than "fastboot -w" which would erase userdata and cache. Do you have the fastboot files? Have you thought about trying to flash Pudding if you can get it into RSD mode? You could then flash a custom recovery in fastboot from that point and either try to factory reset or flash a custom rom/fruitcake.

So what are the chances of me getting a hard brick if i did the RSD Lite as what was proposed in other occurences?
Also with pudding, do I need anything done special on the phone...unlock bootloader or anything else? just want to make sure, since i don't want to be in this situation again or worse lol.
Also, what do you mean by if i have the fastboot files? such as the ones i used to root the phone?
There's really no measurement of risk for using RSD lite. If used properly it should go without a hitch but there have been "rare" occurrences of things going wrong. If you can find the correct sbf(2.3.4-4.5.91 signed) and download the current RSD then you should be fine
Pudding is the unlocked bootloader.
Fastboot files is what is needed to give commands in fastboot mode. (eg. "fastboot.exe")

is it that hard to find a signed sbf for 2.3.4 4.5.91 at&t?
Also, what would be the benefits of going the pudding way versus if i just attempt the rsd way?

Pudding, in a sense, is safer as it will unlock your bootloader and you can flash ROMs all day with a custom recovery but it would help to have the appropriate knowledge before diving in. You mentioned you had rooted your phone but what else, as far as modding, are you familiar with?

2. Press RSD protocol (volume up + power)

[Q] Failed to boot 2, starting rsd mode

My device is: Motorola atrix 4g mb860 AT&T.
I used my phone as usual, and it seemed it went out of battery (possibly), when I tried to power it up it said:
"Failed to boot 2
Starting RSD mode" and got stuck, however, if I take out the battery and try to power it up again it will show the same issue, I cant enter the fastboot protocol support if powering it up while holding the volume up key, it just stucks, I cant either enter the selection of modes if powering it up while holding the volume down key way, it brings me to a black screen.
Ive read about this RSD Light and stuff, tried to flash 3 different sbf files, or more, after trying to flash it shows this in the device:
"Failed to boot 2
Starting RSD mode
sec_exception febe 35, 35", the phone get stucked, and in the program it says "FAILED" under the tab "Result", however, it happens only after the status of the phone in the program "Waiting for re-enumeration" changes to "Failed flashing process. Phone[0000]; Phone did not re-enumerate after RAM-downloader was sent. (0x703E)".
When i take the cable of the phone out and do a restart to it, I'm back to the first problem at the beginning, Failed to boot 2, Starting RSD mode.
It seems someone had a samiliar problem to me, but he used clocked and stuff... his thread:

[SafeStrap] [umts_spyder]: My phone bricked after i updated from 3.65 to 3.73

As the title says:
My phone: Motorola Razr Maxx / xt910
I have used 3.65 but i decided to update to 3.73 along since i hopped to CM11 M9 from CM11 M7
This is where my problems started.
I made a new partition, and activated it as "active" one.
I installed CM11 M9 onto it, and google apps after that.
I booted to the new system and setup my apps and everything was fine, then i shut down the phone.
After i re-started the phone today it was stuck on motorola dual core technology logo. (which happens before safestrap).
And i managed to get into bootloader and deleted the CM11 M9 partition and switched back to stock rom as active one.
Then i attempted to re-create the partition and when it was doing the partition, the phone went off (still had 96% battery left).
After starting the phone up again, it's stuck on infinite boot loop, and flashes the green safestrap BIOS for half a second.
Is there any way i can fix my phone?
Try to flash it with RSD Lite, but its loss of data :/
