I bought the official Samsung extended battery and am happy with it - at least I'm confident the battery will survive the whole day, whereas the original battery was dead before I finished work...! :-(

Whatever you do, don't buy those chinese 3500mah batteries. They are worse than SGS2's stock battery

Have heard this too - that's why I went for original Samsung... Possibly more expensive but genuine!

I would go with the samsung official extended battery, as the non official ones are not very trust worthy.

XDA Atom Extended battery

My Xda Atom originally comes with an 1530mah( XP-02) battery and its performance is terribly short. I have seen some advertising for the high capacity batteries up to 3500mah. So are those batteries fraud or have anyone try them before and give me advice.
Thanks for reading anyway

For $45 they better plan on coming by 2x a week to clean the lime-stain ring from the toilet bowl. For a "china-model" battery that's absurdly high.
But I am interested to see when this one goes to market if they've figured out how to produce a battery that'll charge inside the phone.
Not sure why ATT pisses off their customers by having Samsung spec a phone which requires customers to purchase batteries and phone parts direct from ATT. So annoying.
Anyone get it yet? I might order one on payday and report back unless someone beats me to it.

Bump.
Anyone using it? I'm considering getting it if anyone else has had a positive experience.
That seems kind of expensive. See the other thread where Hyperion is selling 2x1800 batteries and charger for $25 on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Samsung-Galaxy-Battery-Charger/dp/tech-data/B005XOHQ6Y/ref=de_a_smtd
No idea which is better but if Hyperion can provide this I would think Mugen could as well at the same price point. I would wait till it's cheaper or get the Hyperion. Hyperion model already has some good reviews on Amazon.
Doesn't the Hyperion have the bootloop problem with our phones

Hyperion has released a new one, specifically for the AT&T, that doesn't cause the boot loop. The reviews on the Amazon page so far has confirmed this.
Nevermind. Just saw the link.

for 12 u can just buy 1:
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Sams..._47?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1321325447&sr=1-47
i would like to hear how the battery life is with this battery
Any significant increases in battery life? I've heard mixed reviews on the hyperion products.
Also the Amazon description says to use their charger? Any dangers with using the Samsung charger?
Just ordered one to try. Delivery is in about two weeks. I'll report back then.

I dunno about hyperion but Mugen does give a chart that there is about 9% more juice in the 1800mAh battery...I think if you need a real increase it's better to check a solution with a backcover. 3200mah could do. I used 3300mah on my Nexus S and it was great.
So these extended batteries don't have nfc and they won't charge inside the phone correct?
Mugen Battery will last 1.09 times as long!
it reads" Mugen Battery will last 1.09 times as long!"
WOW that's allot!!! 9 %

Lol, exactly what I've been thinking. Until lithium ion is replaced, the physical size of a battery is a strong indicator of how long it will last. If it's 'barely' bigger. It will last 'barely' longer.

received the battery today. I'll let you guys know in a few days how it is. Gotta run some tests.

That's exiting. Will you be posting a topic about it?
Alright results are in and I'm sorry to say. The mugen battery did not outperform the stock samsung battery. Although it was close. When I got the battery I fully charged and discharged it 5 times as the manufacturer recommended. I did a simple test
1: brightness 100%
2: screen on 100%
3: Pandora streaming 100%
mugen=
Start: 4.190v
End: 3.16v
Total: 5.34hrs
Samsung=
Start: 4.190v
End: 3.025v
Total: 5.49hrs
I know we were all hopefulyhat this would be a better battery. Maybe my testing wasnt the best method, if you guys have a better way let me know so I can retest.

This may not be 2500mah although it says it is. bcz it has to be much thicker if it was 2500. If you are willing to spend like $45 you can get the official samsung 2000mAh battery which is the best
Yep. Get a genuine Samsung 2000mAh. Been using one for over 12 mths & it's still going strong.
Tried a generic 3500mAh battery in late 2011, found capacity was closer to 2200mAh after a week of testing & it got seriously hot (high 40's C) when charging so I returned it & bought the OEM battery. YMMV may vary tho if you do get a generic battery; just as many people on here say some of them work well as people like me who think they're rubbish

[Q] Chinese high capacity batteries are good ?

good afternoon guys
of you wanted to know if these Chinese batteries (2000mah or 3400 mah) are really good?
because our original is 1650mAh and finishes very fast, it will be with some of these Chinese improves?
someone here uses?
anxious for the answer. hugs
Bit of a lottery. Some people seem to have good experiences with them, others not. Only way to find out is to try yourself; see if you can get one with the ability to get a refund if you don't like it (which is what I did).
Edit to clarify - My experience was a negative one - 3rd party battery was nowhere near rated capacity, and suffered significant overheating issues when charging, hence I got a refund. Other posters are on the money, 2000mAh Samsung battery is the go.
You must buy only original samsung battery 2000mah . It will give you best result compare to stock one

Switching to a new battery

Hello everyone !
I've use my poco f1 quite a lot this year and tried many mods/stuff on it and the battery got a bit old now, so I want to change it. It doesn't look too difficult to do it but when buying it I found different models.
I wanted to know if it's dangerous to buy a battery that has a bigger capacity than the original one, here is the one I found (on the website folk battery, 5400mAh, I can't post a link)
It sounds cool to be able to move to a bigger one but I don't know if jt's safe.
Please tell me if you know about it or if you know what model I should buy instead of this one.
Thanks in advance !
I've read the reviews for a battery similar to the one you are probably talking about. The battery is poorly made and is barely 2500mAh let aside the 5400mAh advertised.
Please buy battery only from Authorized Service Center.
But on a realistic note, original Poco battery costs around 2k including service. That's 14% percent the cost of a new Poco.

Thanks a lot, I'll buy an official one and changing it by myself doesn't look that hard
if it is original or good brand such as anker---just go ahead !!
from a long time i tested it for samsung s3 neo and it was totally impressive (it was anker battery with doubled capacity )
