Unable to locate S3D demos...where are they? - HTC EVO 3D

Hi all,
I'm really stumped. I recently got a new computer and the Evo 3D and wanted to try developing a simple 3D app for practice. I want to try out the demos here first:
htcdev.com/devcenter/s3d/sample-code
I installed the Android SDK and ATI plugin for Eclipse. I downloaded everything I could for Android and HTC. I tried to import demo programs from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\add-ons (I'm on Windows 7)
Which is where the HTC dev site says they'll be located. Unfortunately, there's nothing there. The Android SDK Manager says it's installed, though!
I made a new program just to test if it was installed, and I believe it was. Eclipse was able to recommend the import import com.htc.view.DisplaySetting for the DisplaySetting class. So the question I have is, then, where the heck are these demos???? Did I skip a step? Any help would be really appreciated, since it's going to be a lot harder/time consuming to get started without seeing these demos.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Edit: I should note the following as well:
When I go to import projects in Eclipse from the entire C:\Program Files (x86)\Android folder, I'm only seeing two projects: SimpleApp and TestAnAndroidWebApp. Is this right? This doesn't seem right...shouldn't I have a lot more demos than that (I see what look like demos in the android-sdk samples folder.

Resolved
I've resolved the problem. There were two folders created in installation, one named android-sdk, and one named android-sdks, plural, in completely different parts of my file directory, but with very similar hierarchies. I don't know where this got screwed up or why this is the case, but there we go.

New to Windows Mobile

Let's pretend I'm new to windows mobile. (I am). Can anyone tell me HOW I get to these HKEY directories that everything is edited in. If anyone could give me a step-by-step instruction on how to install or modify anything at all in the phone, I would greatly appreciate it.
Please start the steps right after the 'Turn on phone' step, as I am fairly confident I have that under control. Every time I've asked this question on other forums I just get links to different forums with no helpful information below a certain level of expertise. I have never coded or done anything other than drag and drop folders, etc so a dumbed down version of how to start and I can learn from there. Anything! PLEASE!!! I hate having this amazing machine and not being able to utilize it.
oh, Touch Pro, sprint
First you need to install a registry editor. The two most used are PHM (free http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/) or Resco Explorer (paid http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/). I prefer Resco, but everyone has their own pref.
And installation, you fire it up and simply navigate it to your registry. Pretty straightforward.
I downloaded the free one but it isn't showing up in my phone. I navigated to its folder on my pc and everything seems to be zipped. when I unzip the file extensions are *.001 and I can't open or access them. am I doing something wrong ?
also, if anyone can explain to me how to install .net framework ?

i assume you need the new 3.5 .net compact framework.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en
You simply download and install the file on your computer (not your mobile device). This file will install the framework on your computer and will activate the add/remove programs on the sync center, so the next time you connect your touch pro it will ask to install the program. Then you just follow any instructions displayed on your touch pro for final installation and you're set to go!
here's on .Net http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=470
It has an extra app to choose a default .Net.
There's also a Tips and Tricks section and a walk through for TouchFlo3D at fuzemobility.com that you may want to try.
I can relate to this problem.

I have a Alltel HTC Touch Pro. The software that came with it does not work with Vista. I googled active sync for Vista, I got links to Windows Mobile Device Center. I installed that onto my desktop. It syncs my phone to my desktop, but only shows my device memory and the storage card. I have installed downloaded and installed net.frame. When I downloaded Advanced Config Tool and draged and drop (also copied & pasted) into the device memory and tried to click the cab. file it only shows that it will go to the c: drive on my desktop. I do not see anything showing for the windows on my device. Hopefully someone can post some useful infomation about this. Yes I did use search, that lead me here. There are lots of complete noobs. Before we can add useful information for others. ( like showing off the really cool function of these new phones we have to be able to use them ourselves. Thanks for any help.
Here's some tips that might help you:
When plugging your Touch Pro into your PC via USB, you should be prompted on the Touch Pro whether you want to connect as "ActiveSync" or "Disk Drive". You should click "ActiveSync" for installing applications.
If you are using your desktop PC and download an application for your Touch Pro, it will typically be .exe or .cab. The .exe files are intended to run on your desktop PC first, and will then trigger an installation to your Touch Pro through ActiveSync (Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Windows Vista).
If the file is a .cab, it is intended to run on your Touch Pro directly and will install the program. To move a .cab to your Touch Pro, you use the explore feature in ActiveSync (or similar feature in Mobile Device Center), and drag and drop. (Alternatively, you can download .cab files directly onto your phone from the source website using the Opera web browser). Once the .cab is on your Touch Pro, you use the file explorer program on your phone to naviagte to the file and then execute it.
When you install programs onto your TouchPro, a dialogue appears on the phone to walk you through the installation. To save your phone's shared memory, you can install programs to your memory card. Unfortunately, some applications work best when installed onto the phone versus installing them onto the memory card.
Hope that helps
Thank you very much for your reply. I'll give this another try. I had the Alltel HTV Touch Flo awhile back and was running XP on the desktop. If I remember correctly, I saw my device in the tree layout with the software running XP. I gave the Touch Flo to a family member and got a BlackBerry Curve. Wanted to go back to a windows platform for the versitilty of programs. I know everything has a learning curve to it. With lots of reading and study, trial and error, and help from generous people here. Noobs like myself can get a lot more use and enjoyment from their devices. Each new version that comes out is getting faster, more powerful, and has more features. Others see these things that we have and want one. It would be helpful if we could help them to see all the possibilities that are there. The I Phone gets a lot of attention with commercials and has opened up for new apps being developed. There are as many, if not more apps for widows. We just have to learn to implement them with our device. I know I did not start this thread, but others can see the original posters title and understand their, and my question. Thanks again to the reply, and to anyone else who comes up with more help for the noobs.

Trouble Installing Froyo (rootfs)

Hey guys,
I'm new here and need some help.
I've spent the past couple nights burning the midnight oil, reading through pages of the forum for something that will explain how to fix my problem.
I recently bought the HTC HD2, ditching my unlocked 2G iphone. So far, I'm not thrilled with Windows Mobile 6.5.
I really want to try Android on it. My wife has a myTouch, and I really like the interface. I did some reading around, and felt brave enough to tackle it.
Here's my issue:
I downloaded "HD2Froyo_V2.1", and extracted the contents to the desktop of my PC.
As explained in many places, I placed the Android folder that the zip file created onto the root of my SD card on the HD2. I first run CLRCAD, and then haret.
No matter how many times I run the haret.exe on the phone, I consistently get an error that says it can't locate the "rootfs".
I've tried deleting the Android folder and just placing all the files directly on the root drive, but it still fails to find rootfs.
The only hack I've done so far was to install HardSPL.
Other than that, I've not done anything else.
Any ideas what's preventing Android from installing?
Okay, I figured it out.
Android is up and running just fine.
I am, however, getting the robot voice.
Could someone recommend a solution? I'm assuming I need to try a custom ROM or radio, but I'm not sure which.
Thanks!
It's the radio. I'd recommend the latest one, 2.15. You already HSPL'd it so you're half way there.

[Q] For the new Sense SDK, how do I make the path to addon_htc_phone.xlm correct?

So I have the Android SDK installed and everything, been having that for a while, so when I installed the Sense SDK addon I went to add on the phone one and it wont read the path correctly when I give it the URL all the files from the .zip that HTC supplied are here "C:/android/htc_emulator". In there I dropped all the files contatined in the .zip. I wanted to add addon_htc_phone.xlm for an AVD on the SDK. When I add it from the "add-on site thing" I type "file://android/htc_emulator/addon_htc_phone.xlm" and no matter the variant on that, and error always arose, the reason being whatever the first folder after "file://" was, in that case right there, "android". Any suggestions you guys and let me know if you have any questions about something that doesn't make sense <<hahaha punny! get it? we are talking about htc sense and i said sense ahaha!!
Anybody know anyways to fix this? It'd not really important because now I'm mostly just curious.
just type the third slash "/" after file://

Eclipse - Driving me mental, please help :(

Having a VERY weird problem with Eclipse and I cant work out for the life of me what is going on. Will be VERY appreciative if someone knows what the problem is here.
IF I create a new Android Project, it will save a folder with all the files to C:\users\silver\workspace
IF I create a android project from an existing source, the workspace folder does not contain the saved project folder.
Up until today there was no problem. Then for no reason as far as I can see, it went nuts on me.
Ive reinstalled and setup Eclipse. Ive even restored my PC to an earlier point to see if that would help.
If I cant work this out, its 2 weeks worth of work down the drain
Anyone got any ideas as to what the heck is going on?

Have you tried to import the specific project? I am sure the project which should be imported is an eclipse project. If yes you are able to IMPORT it instead of creating a new project from source. If not have you tried to cut the specific project from the workspace folder and then create a new project from existing source and choose the project esp. from your desktop and mark copy it to the workspace folder. (In some cases eclipse is not able to import/create a project if its in the workspace folder.)
If these things don't help. Update all the Android Specific Stuff. Update to newest ADT and SDK. And try it again.
If it won't work even after that i will need some more detailed information about your problem.
Good luck
Not sure why but it just went mental regarding anything I tried. Only way in the end was to copy and paste everything manually after creating the classes again
Back to square 1 at least well sort of...
I now have another problem lol.
I modified the SDK so I was able to use Internal API's, though I still have one error that I cant get rid off, which is...
"The import android.os.SystemProperties cannot be resolved"
Dont suppose you know how to modify the SDK to be able to use the whole source?

[Q] Fails in an imported project

I just reinstalarme java sdk and eclipse and I've updated everything to solve problems that had versions had. Now, trying to create a project before importing interests me, not allowing me to use the light holo theme with dark action bar (The project I have to import the user and also gave me error related to it). I get a red x next. We also explain the mistake that gave me and before reinstalling everything and that gives me now, because I think it has something to do. It turns out that when you import a project gives me many errors: Errors in the files within src and errors especially in res / values / styles. the latter makes no father is and values-v21 speak. Many would say that the problem is the appcompat but I've tried a lot of solutions out there on the internet and nothing, I can not solve. Does not work with android studio me and if I have tried the techniques of builth path and etc. i need help please. The solution to start the application again is not an option, Thanks for everything
I add: when I go to project properties in android in paragraph libraries appear both me I have a red X (the appcompat and of google). They are in the project and if that I have downloaded everything you need with sdk (extras and others)
