Stock Recovey img - HTC Rezound

Hey guys, I am going to try to get a replacement phone from VZW so I am going to re-lock the boot loader and run the RUU. From what I have read the stock recovery is needed for the RUU to work, but I haven't been able to find the file anywhere. Could someone link me to a download or a thread where I can download it?

All you have to do is lock the bootloader, place the ruu zip on your memory card, and change the ruu's name to ph89img, then run it in the bootloader. After that your good to go. I did it and the ruu reverted the recovery back to stock.

Stock PH98IMG.nbh

I can't get my phone to boot up so I can't use a RUU and when I go into fastboot and select recovery it just goes back into a bootloop I have looked everywhere for a stock ROM in the form of a .nbh and can't find any! Does anyone have one they could share? Thanks in advance! The Rezound doesn't have a Q&A section so I posted here.
*UPDATE* I found the PH98IMG's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365654
I am not at all familiar with an nbh file... Too my knowledge if you can still get into hboot you should be able to ruu.
I know when I relocked I couldn't boot back up with my normal ROM and used the ruu exe file to take care if it.... Try there first

It says in that tread that you can extract the PH98IMG from the RUU which did not work at all and the RUU's don't work from fastboot
Here is a link to a ruu file you should be able to rum through fastboot as all a your mainver is 2.01.605.11 rename as PH98IMG http://www.4shared.com/zip/MNDHXsaC/rom.html

I've had some RUU issues myself but was never able to find these files, so thanks for the link.
One question, did you have to flash stock recovery first, or does the PH file take care of all that clean up for you?

Running the RUU flashes the stock hboot, stock recovery, stock radio, stock kernel, and stock ROM, it is also reputed to wipe your "internal storage".
To return to root, you flash Amon Ra in fastboot and use the advanced menu to re-root, then you can flash a custom ROM and/or kernel.

why don't you just go back to fastboot and flash the recovery again to see if that fixes it?

I ended up having to return that Rezound because it had something seriously wrong with it. It messed up 1hr after I purchased it, I was on the Market and it went to the HTC logo and just kept rebooting, and the only thing I could do was get into fastboot. When I selected recovery it would just boot back to the HTC screen and when I tried to factory reset it did the same. I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the CWM recovery several times but it still would just go to the HTC screen. When I typed "fastboot boot recovery" it said it couldn't load the recovery. I formatted a sdcard, put the PH98IMG on it, it loaded the image but then would act like nothing was ever loaded instead of asking me to accept the update, and it would just go back to the main HBOOT directory Anyways all is well now Verizon replaced it with no problems as soon as they opened today.

[Q] ICS to GB S-On

Before I begin, I've read through a lot of threads on different forums and have yet to find a solution (that's working for me.)
I could never get my device to S-OFF so simply dropped the task. Not in too big of a rush right now. That being said, I'd like to go back to GB for a bit just to try a few things out.
I never flashed the ICS firmware, therefor I've had to use the old firmware patches. So, I tried running the RUU for GB and it only encountered error after error and my phone stayed at the black HTC screen. Any ideas?
Phone works just fine, just rebooted while I was typing this post and went straight into my ROM.
Only way I found is S-off'd, I had to go back to GB after ICS since it came on the phone I bought and needed to return it. Everyone told me I had to S-Off then RUU
If s on make sure you relock bootloader, then you should be able to run the gb ruu for whichever version you were on.

Downgrading radios when s-on could very well hard brick your phone. I strongly recommend that you s-off first.

If you never ran an ics ruu you still were on gb firmware....so you can run a gb ruu. When you run the same ruu that's not downgrading....sheesh :rolleyes . And its probably the easiest way to get back to a working phone if you are lost and don't really know what you are doing.

Tried that. RUU said "Could not update your phone at this time."
I came from stock GB originally in...April. Is there a specific RUU for that?
I've never used RUU's before so I'm lost.
aaand now, I'm pretty sure my phone is a brick. It's re-locked now, can't go into recovery, won't boot into ROM.

Still only a soft brick. Would suggest trying the other of the two GB RUU .exe version packages if you only tried one of them, just a suggestion until someone else can help you and diagnose.

Tried. It's stuck on the "Verifying the information on your PDA Phone...Please wait..." screen.
EDIT: Nevermind, went into Fastboot, working now. Let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help so far.
I'm getting a bootloader version error. An ICS RUU should fix this, right? Granted, I know that means I can't go back until I S-Off, but I'd rather that than have a soft bricked phone
I am in the same boat - S-ON. I flashed Scott's ICS Rooted Stock Rom, along with the GB Patch. I downloaded the PH98IMG.zip and HBOOT doesn't recognize it. Trying the exe may resolve this?
Issue resolved thanks to dsb in the IRC channel. For some reason, I thought I had to throw the unlock.bin on my SD card to unlock.
And to the guy above me, try pushing it through adb. Extract the ROM, find the boot.img, throw it into your ADB directory.
adb reboot bootloader
(make sure you're in fastboot USB)
fastboot flash boot boot.img

With the new leak out, I haven't. However, I can still help.
Make sure there is no P98IMG file on your SD card.
1. Download the mainver fix from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23169557&postcount=4
2. Drop GB ROM of your choice onto SD card.
3. Flash the fix in recovery and reboot into bootloader.
4. Relock your phone by going into adb and typing in fastboot oem lock
5. Run GB RUU of your choice.
6. Use the HTCDev unlock on your bootloader
7. Download a recovery and push it to your phone by typing in fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
8. Boot into recovery, flash ROM, enjoy.

Bail me out please

I'm S-on and running Conrom. I decided to relock and go back to stock to take the latest update.
After executing fastboot oem lock, my phone won't boot past the Hboot screen.
When I installed Conrom I temp flashed amon ra. After that my hboot said Tampered but everything worked great.
Now it says Tampered, Relocked, Security Warning.
How do I get back to the .12 OTA or Conrom for that matter?
Fastboot devices will return my serial number. Adb devices returns nothing.
Thanks!
Fastboot unlock. Or just S-Off.

I have the files; I just need to know how to do that. I have to be locked to run the ruu and locking is what got me in trouble.
Any idea how I need to proceed?

you have to be on a stock hboot before re-locking. i would flash a stock hboot, then re-lock, and finally ruu.

I *think* I'm on a stock hboot. I never purposely changed it so it should be stock unless Conrom changed it.

No need to lock as flashing the RUU in bootloader will relock it for you, it will also s-on. The important part is to make sure you are on a stock hboot, which it looks like you are. If you want to go through the effort of flashing the RUU, just flash it, then you will need to unlock and s-off if you'd like

[Q] Stuck trying to UnRoot

I have been having the worst time trying to take my Rezound back to stock. I rooted it a long while ago and am now stuck. I was able to relock but still at s-on and I cant seem to find the right RUU exe file to load the system back to stock. Current info is as follows;

RADIO-1.22.10.0421r/1.22.10.0424r
OpenDSP-v13.6.0.7611.00.0104
eMMC-boot
Image version 3.14.605.12
I am a complete noob so I will need as much simple directions as possible. I am desperate at this point since I cant seem to get it to reload the stock. Every time I use the RUU.exe files
RUU_VIGOR_ICS_35_S_VERIZON_WWE_3.14.605.12_Radio_RS_1.22.10.0424r_3622A_MR3_9K_release_270509_signed.exe
Found on androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=Vigor or any of the other ones it fails. Fortunately I have not bricked the phone yet but I am running out of options since android police site has one but says not to use it : This will not work if you used the HTC Bootloader unlock tool. Your device must be fully stock with a locked bootloader or you must have S-Off (method).
Help please!!!
Try this link here http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Vigor and download the PH98IMG_ICS_3.14.605.12.zip! Do not download any others. Rename it to PH98IMG.zip and flash in bootloader. It should allow you to flash it.

After you rename it place it on the root directory of the SD card. Then power phone off. Then press volume down + power so it boots into bootloader. There it should ask if you want to update. Tell it yes. It won't brick you as its the same s/w you seem to be on. Worst case it won't flash.
Edit: make sure you verify the md5!

Remember to flash a ph98img zip RUU, the bootloader must be relocked and internal storage will also be completely wiped. Backup the contents in recovery using usb mass storage mounts.

Sounds like all that needs done is a factory reset(wipe caches+data) and wipe system. Re-flash a Sense rom and fastboot flash the matching boot.img. Try my rom Viral OTA, just the data/system wipes prior to flashing and it willk get you back up to 100%. Rememer to reboot to bootloader if using TWRP.

[Q] Firmware update after root, s-off, and SuperCID (First post EVER!)

I also messed up and never made a nandroid of stock so going back to that is going to be difficult. Is there any way that I can update without returning phone to stock.
What would the process be to get this thing done?

No, this wont touch any of that...it is just firmware zip with radio, so wont touch your rom. And you cant lose s-off or supercid, unless you manual type in the commands to change them.... but I read somwhere its good to reflash whatever rom you are currently running, after updating firmware. But may not be necessary.....

So the process is something like this:
1 Hook phone to computer
2 Put phone in fastboot
3 Run .exe file in the zip you download
enjoy?
Or am i missing a step in there? I keep seeing people re-lock the bootloader. Is that something that needs to happen?
I also downloaded one of these zips and it didn't have a exe file? was that one for side-loading?

So the process is something like this:
1 Hook phone to computer
2 Put phone in fastboot
3 Run .exe file in the zip you download
enjoy?

Relock is necessary if not superCID.
Command is fastboot oem rebootRUU
Zip file is for flashing using fastboot. Go to RUU mode, then enter fastboot flash zip "zip name"

For the firmware link I posted above, there is no need to be superCID, as long as you have the CID listed in that post.
Also not so sure about needing to relock....following the instructions here, I had no problems.
