This need to be in Q&A!
go to install zip from Sd and chose toggle signature verification
in cwm-recovery disable toggle scripts and verification scripts,
otherwise your ROM zip is broken??
Do you have a locked bootloader

Hello im trying to flash my custom rom I made but in recovery it keeps saying.
E:/sdcard/rom.zip. status code 6. Installation aborted.
It has something to do with updater script.
Prior to building the rom it asks you update to updater script. I hit yes. Than before proceeding it displays a line ","???");ATADATA. Please correct the error before proceeding.

The backup option isn't available when I boot into CWM Recovery mode. I also happen to get the error message:
E:Failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
I'm booting into recovery mode from the CWM app. I've searched everywhere...lots of questions but no solutions.
This is a common problem that happens if you try to install CWM from ROM Manager. If this is the case, please read up on how to install CWM in the General Section.
If not, please include Kernel / ROM you are running.
Just install a different kernel. Reboot into recovery again. Profit.

Hi
Currently I can't download proper recovery as my odin says invalid md5, tried downloading couple of times. Is there a way I can install without using pc. I am using Pershoot's recovery.

If it isn't broken what are you trying to fix? Download the recovery and check bit against the checksum. If it passes then flash it.
For some reason i cannot get any rom besides liquid smooth to flash. Every other rom i try gets some error 7 code and aborts the flash. Ive toggled the signature off, but still no go. I'm using clockworkmod touch recovery. Please help.
Use TWRP recovery. Your version of recovery is outdated.

Recently i got a softwre update(43.68 Mb) on my stock rooted Galaxy S Duos s7562. after I have downloaded the update it asked to update now or later.. when accepted to install now, It swittched off and opened in cwm recovery and said failed to verify signature of file.. istallation aborted.
-in which I disabled signature verification.. but after a few sec "signature check disabled" msg pops up..
does it mean I can flash the update file manually after moving it from ( /cache/ ) to my sdcard?? or it will cause any problem???
help guys!
The ota wont install because you have a custom recovery. Try to flash a stock recovery back and take the ota again.

That I can figure but signature check is disabled then why not installing.. and Can I just take the downloaded OTA update from /cache/ and install it in recovery?
I think you can, but if you can download the ota from xda and then move the zip over to the sd card that would be best. Also, I think the zip verification has to do with md5 hashes, and not with whether or not the ota will install. It may also be failing because of your modified system.

You could always stick the OTA on your hard drive from /cache/ and use adb sideload <file>
