Big SD Card Problem - screen shot attatched - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Edit: Never mind, i came to the conclusion that all my data became corrupted....probably from too much screwing around. I wiped data and reformatted it.
So i woke up one morning and noticed that my external sd card wasnt mounted anymore.
I tried re-mounting it but it just kept failing...as if there was no sd card.
I took the card out and put it in my pc and saw all this gibberish, i cant take any of the files out of the folders because it says that the titles or something doesnt match or something.
I have some very important files on this card and need to recover these files.
Any ideas?

[Q] Htc Thunderbolt - SD Card mounted Read-Only. Tap here to fix it problem

Hi All,
I ran into a strange problem with my phone's SD card. Since a week or two, my card started complaining about "Mounted Read-Only, Tap here to fix it error". I did not pay much attention and fixed it by tapping it on the notification area.
However, from last weekend I found out that im not able to delete anything from my SD card. If i delete it deletes it, but when i unmount and re mount my SD Card, all the files that ive deleted are back again on my SD card. Also when If i copy a new file, per say, an MP3 file, it disappears after i remount the SD card.
PLEASE, could someone shed some light on this issue? I've tried unseating, reseating the card, do a full disk check on my windows laptop. Still no luck. I hvnt tried placing the card into a card adapter and plugging it into my laptops' card reader.
Can someone please suggest what should i do next? this is frustrating.
PS: my phone is rooted and ive beeing using BAMF Forever Cubed1.0.7 with MR3 radio since a month.

Backup everything on your sdcard and use a card reader to connect it to your computer and use hp format tool to format it. don't do a quick format

[Q] SD is not mounted

Anyone else having problems with the "dual SD card" setup? Dropbox says there's no SD mounted. Gallery loads no pictures. Root explorer can access the "external" SD just fine, but also says the "internal" SD is not mounted.
WTF???
I have a corporate email setup, so I have to have all the encryption BS.
Once in awhile I will manage to mount it but it will be read-only.
Am I missing something, here????
I remember reading about someone having problems with the SD card after using encryption.
This may have been it:

My Rezound has the options for full encryption and SD encryption in the settings. However it hasn't worked well for me.
I turned it on right after I purchased it and then added all the apps I wanted; two days later it said that the SD card (sdcard2) was connected to a computer so all the apps were read only. A simple reboot didn't do anything for it, so I powered down and removed the battery and SD card and then put it all back together and booted - that time it said the SD card was no longer encrypted and needed to be formatted to be used. I never got it to accept the SD card, so I finally reformatted it and then re-installed everything.
The next day, the phone was unable to access the internal SD (sdcard ), after trying multiple times to get it back, I finally turned off encryption, allowed the phone to format the internal SD card and then reconfigured everything again.
If it was a dev phone, I wouldn't mind and I'd spend more time to figure it out and get it working correctly, but I need this one to work correctly for everyday use.

I searched the other two forums I've been at and didn't find anything so I think the above is what I'm remembering. Looks like encryption may not be working too well.
Keeps happening when I use temp root (not the sole cause but makes i worse). Guess I will not be using it anymore...

When you popped out your SD card without unmounting it first, caused a system to fail, the system uses the sd card for cache, android secure and etc.,if you are using apps2sd then it also stores your third party apps on the card,so when you ejected the sd card, viola, your apps don't work and/or disappear.Sounds like you need to do a complete wipe/partition your SD card, newer roms will require it,especially 3.5 and 4.0 roms.
First I like to say thanks for the responce...I've tryed using the format on my HTC but it doesn't say format it said erase SD...I've done it twice and its still not right...as for formatting I used my laptop to format it in fat 32 twice and its still not right...I haven't partitioned it and don't know how...that might be the one thing I'm missing

[HELP] sd card is read only?

Since a few days, it seems like my phone doesn't allow me to write to my external sd card...
I got no clue why it suddenly changed, but i'm trying to fix my permissions of my storage map to what it was, but everytime i reboot my phone my permissions getting reset to those from before..
But a few seconds after my startup it looks like the sd card is fixed and i can take pictures, but then a few seconds later my pictures cant be moved to my sd card anymore... so it looks like theres a program or some settings or something else overwriting this
Also tried googeling this problem, but never realy found an answer, hopefully some1 can help me out..
ps. my sd card still functioning well, i can still listen to music and watch to the movies that were on my sd card..
happened to me.
format the card

SD card problem

Hi guys im having a bit of drama with my sd card and my samsung galaxy tab a 10.1 running android 7.0 unrooted
I first noticed this yesterday as utorrent kept throwing me an error during my download, when i selected the sd card as the download location i noticed it said app data then once i changed the location to internal app data things worked fine.
I tried to delete the failed download but a little error message came up unable to delete so i formated my sd card and it asked for me to select a file to allow write function, i moved my downloads over to the sd card then continued with another download. utorrent has again failed halfway through then upon looking it has actually wiped my sd card completely nothing shows up but apparently i have used 2.8gb but theres no files.
ive been looking around and ive been seeing bits about sd write function being removed after kitkat but i cant seem to find anything about my sd card being wiped or why i cant delete files. Please could someone help me understand whats what or point me in the direction of a thread that explains all this.
thanks in advance

E.g. SanDisk forces some of their usb pen drives into a permanent read-only state when the pen drive detects that it is damaged. Once this happens, this cannot be undone. It is a mechanism to try to save the data. Perhaps your sd card is damaged and something similiar occured? It sounds like a broken/damaged sd card. If you don't need the data on the sd card, you may try to format the sd card with your pc and then again format it with your mobile device. If this fails, it is likely that the sd card is damaged.

Thanks for the reply but tbh ive been really busy getting bits sorted for my holiday i forgot to update my post, turns out its the sd reader in the tablet at fault which is a bit annoying as its the 1st time ive used it in the 8 months ive owned the tablet. Its the 2nd fault to develop with the tablet 1st fault was unresponsive touch screen tight out the box that was repaired now i need to wait until i return from my holiday to have the reader fixed, luckily an OTG and sd reader works like a charm.
