if you need the stock kernel maybe you can ask a dev to extract it from the rom and make a zip file so you can flast it.

So while enjoying the ROM I was trying to see if theme manager and theme chooser can be installed I truest but keep getting an error install message I'm a noon well not really just never posted in two years or so lol but any idea I'm on the EVO 3d

I believe theme chooser is for cm7 roms and maybe some tmobile right roms. Sensless rom has rom updater app built in which has some stuff. But flashing a theme is pretty easy through recovery. Just make sure you nandroid backup first

Flash popdog's Oxygen ROM if you don't want the CM7 stuff, and only a simple gingerbread ROM (way faster than the official gingerbread).
I've used cm7 since the early days and even with OpT...just wanted to try out the official gb's....I know all to well about oxygen, its to minimal for my taste but the performance is superb

What about comparison of performance/speed/battery between oxygen ROM and CM7.1 ?
To be honest, there almost the same...maybe I'm wrong but that is just my opinion..I will say this performance wise,oxygen....

First off; this isn't an official discussion thread on blackbird at all just a question on kernel...my question is..can I use any other kernel other than stock kernel on this rom without getting an error message while trying to enable wifi..I've attempted to use tb1.1/1.2/1.2-hotfix

Also I can't seem to find the stock bootanimation file..its usually under system/media...I was going to add my own personal bootanimation,as I've simply done with 85% of the roms I've used ?

bump
i am using the stock kernel which came with the rom but this rom is too sluggish.. its fast but shutters a lot.

Yes, you need to add the new firmware patch to fix your SD mount points though.

Google, I honestly don't know who's got it posted these days, "new firmware patch rezound" should turn something up though.
Superchilpil has what you're looking for in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25197071
"[FIRMWARE] ICS/GB Firmware combo's"
Look for the new firmware patch file in this repository from the thread: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=3054

I want to use gb because I've never run sense 3.5 natively. I've had an EVO 4g and 3d and have only ran sense 3.5 via ports.
