First of all thanks to ketut.kumajaya for finding this
This for kernel that support init.d only, if u on stock please flash CF-ROOT
Its just a simple script to turn off touch key light (the 2 touch key on left and right of your home button)
It save battery when the light is off-forever
It can be turn on again when u remove the script...
I'm not a dev, so i just share here the script without cwm zip, i try to make a flashable zip but i cant change the permission...it always goes rwx--r--r when i flash it...sorry
Here the script -> TOUCH KEY LIGHT OFF
Copy it to system/etc/init.d folder then set permission to rwxr-xr-r like below picture...

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then reboot!
Done! No more back light on the 2 button...like iphone (if u admire iphone)
Terminal emulator method:
Put the script to sdcard.
Run terminal then type;
--
su
push 98button-backlight /system/etc/init.d/
--
then..
--
su
chmod 755 /system/etc/init.d/98button-backlight
--
Reboot!
Update: if u download the script via PC and it became notepad file with .txt extention, dont panic dude just put it in your sd then rename the script by remove the ".txt".
Original thread about the script can be found HERE

CF-Root is a kernel, you can flash CF-Root on a stock DXKPB.
There's alot of update.zip file around here, from CF-Root for an example. Use it as a reference! To disable a script, you can change script permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) from 755 (rwxr-xr-x).

Maybe it crash on other script u have on init.d folder...
For me, i think a simple script with even 1 line on it is more dependable then 1 script with all the tweaks in it....
Why not u try do what i do, move all other script from init.d then try again...

Maybe i'm doing something wrong when i'm downloading the script. I'm clicking ppm at the link and choosing save as. It's "98button-backlight.txt". Should I only delete ".txt" and put script to init.d folder and change permissions and reboot?

See the Build Number???
How to add your name on it? Easy, what u need is:
1.Root phone.
2.Root Explorer or Root Browser FREE from market.
Using root explorer or root browser, go to system/ here u will see build.prop...
Enable mount/RW by tab on top right.
Now tab and hold on build.prop, tab Open in Text Editor to edit it.
U will see this line;
--
ro.build.display.id=XXXXX (your rom name)
--
Replace XXXXX to yourname like this;
--
ro.build.display.id=ABAHLU
--
Then save and reboot, simple
To edit android version, find this line;
--
ro.build.version.release=2.3.4
--
U can replace the number to 3.0 or 4.0 or whatever u like...or even u can put your phone number to it...
Your can add your name incase if your friends took your phone, just go to setting>about phone..walaa! Your phone!
No, it will not bricked your phone
After save it will auto save your build.prop to build.prop.bak, when u want to restore back build.prop just delete the build.prop then rename build.prop.bak to build.prop

Yes you can! With root explorer, first paste framwork-res.apk into the system folder change permissions and then move to framework folder!
Could you by any chance also package the modified images for the framework? I am trying to build a tool to auto-replace and auto-sign the package, so that this circlesmod (and any other future mods) will work on all firmwares

may be u did it wrong, using root explorer, first u must put the systemui.apk in the system folder and set the permission to rw-r-r (like in the screenshot sample) then u move the apk to the system/app folder. after that reboot ur phone

You're right, so far - that's the way to do this and so I made it, too.
I have two sola phones (both ICS, rooted), tried different statusbars on them and every time the system stopped after a short time, i copied the systemUI.apk file to the app folder. Think, its because of you are copying a a new file over a running (system-) file. I used once the solid explorer (still beta, but fine) and then the ES file explorer.
But after a reset all things were ok and the status bars worked ok. Thx to the developers...
No matter, I just wanted to tell, if this happens (system stop) - just make a reset and all will be fine. :good:
Simple and does the work, thanks!

Hi, XperiaSP 4.3 destroyed the LED for music playback in high volume.
Here how to fix it:
(make sure SYSTEM is mounted as RW)
Automatically (for existenz ROM)
download this file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50731080&postcount=26
Then extract the sh file to System/etc
You can change the values according to your liking.
For any other ROM,
1. You can save that sh file to internal and set it to run on BOOT using script manager (free on play store).
2. Or you can edit the following files manually every reboot:
1. Go to
/sys/devices/i2c-10/10-0047
2. Change the properties to all access (chmod 777) to the following files:
audio_agc_ctrl
audio_buf_gain
3. Change the file values according to your liking.
Works until volume 60% (I prefer this)
Good with music with low notes (heavy bass, drum)
audio_agc_ctrl 4
audio_buf_gain 0
Works until volume 100%
audio_agc_ctrl 1
audio_buf_gain 7 or 6
Works until volume 70%
Good with general music
audio_agc_ctrl 6
audio_buf_gain 1
4. Set those TWO FILES to READ ONLY. Otherwise, every time Walkman change track the files will back to default (7,4).
Btw,
Anybody have the files from XperiaSP 4.1? I want to compare it. Please upload zipped of all files on
/sys/devices/i2c-10/10-0047
Thanks

Im using ES Explorer. to make it READ ONLY, you need to "properties" the file, then uncheck all permission except READ.
