1) yes
2) yes, but some of the webOS specific buttons won't function, for example the 'hide the soft keyboard ' button.
Sent from my touchpad via tapatalk

2) Yes CM7 and CM9 both support BT HID keyboards which is what the HP one shows up as. Non standard buttons on the HP keyboard won't work, the command is being sent but Android has nothing assigned.
Also, BT HID mice will work with a cursor in both CM7 and CM9.

bluetooth keyboard

I have been searching through some of the bluetooth keyboard threads and am unsure of what keyboard to get. Does any bluetooth keyboard work on the gtab? I wanted to purchase one like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/bluetooth-wirel...Trackballs&hash=item33642e7988#ht_2141wt_1185
I have a similar one like this from Dealextreme working on tnt lite, but you have to use the mod for alt keyboards and bluetooth apk from Techsoft to get it to work.

I was able to get my Menotek flexible to work on Vegan b5.1 using Blueinput from the market. It just show as a Bluetooth Keyboard when connected. The item on eBay will probably work.

I am trying to get my Menotek Keyboard working with no luck. It pairs, and I can even here "clicking" and see the caps lock on/off, but am getting no actual input. Can you tell me what you did?
Got it!
So I finally did get it to work, and it seems ok. Follow the full steps, including moving the APK to the system/app directory.
Running TnT-Harmony 1.2
Menotek Flexible Bluetooth Keyboard
Microsoft BT 5000 Mouse
thanks!!

Bluetooth keyboard works

The Galaxy Player 5.0 appears to have bluetooth HID. I was able to pair and connect with a bluetooth keyboard - got a pin number to enter on the physical keyboard and got instant pairing. The keys work, and the one I have also controls the volume and starts and stops and moves ahead videos and songs. So, the mini keyboard is like a remote control for the device as well!
Can You post a link to the keyboard you bought, I was thing about getting one (mainly for ssh)
Bump, also interested to know which keyboard you used.
Most of the bluetooth keyboards that I see say they are for Iphone, Ipad, Ipod T. Is there any reason that these would not work with the SGP?
SGP 4.0 confirmed working with a PALM brand bluetooth keyboard.
Generally speaking, as long as the Bluetooth keyboard supports HID (as opposed to SPP) it should work. Function buttons may not work as advertised, and CTRL / ALT / SHIFT combinations may be slightly weird, but those issues can be addressed by changing the KEYLAYOUT file. A decent write up is here:
*sigh* I can't post links because I'm new. . . Bear with me here.

Based on this then the keyboards that say they work with Iphone which I have learned is HID should work with the SGP.
Can you post link to buy it and image of it? Thanks
Hey guys,
I just bought an SGP5 and after reading this post, tested my logitech BT Kybd.
It worked like a champ.
This is the kybd I used. I am also able to use the kybd with my SGS2.

The requirements for that keyboard includes Honeycomb and up, I'm just glad it worked on Gingerbread for you.

Cogratulations you invented the laptop.
I used to use Magic-Pro ProMini keyboard with my PC. It turns out that it works fine with galaxy player as well.
Is this a case or just a bluetooth keyboard.
Its good for tablets but not to mini tablet...

[Q] Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyboard & Dell BT Travel Mouse

I'm trying to use the Rezound like a mobile pc (eg. being able to output to a monitor, connect a portable BT keyboard, and BT mouse functionality). Then I can use it anywhere to take notes, browse, or do work via teamviewer or Logmein like a desktop.
I have the MHL>HDMI out to my monitor, looks awesome.
I have my portable stowawy BT keyboard (from my PDA days) paired to the Rezound using KeyPro app.
Both good so far... haven't fully tested the all the setup on the KeyPro app; but all the letters and numbers work for quick typing on the BT keyboard.
Paired/connected the Dell BT travel mouse with the rezound; but no mouse pointer...
This is my only drawback.
Is there an app that will get the BT mouse to function like a mouse (eg. with the mouse pointer) on the rezound?
If I get it to work, then I don't need to carry my notebook... generally, I can use the MHL>HDMI out (works), BT keyboard (works), and BT mouse (currently paired/connected but not working correctly).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I'm on Ineffabilis v1.0 GB Rom and dbs9938 kernel if that's relevant.
I believe your problem is that anything below honeycomb doesn't include a pointer/cursor because it's a phone OS, not a tablet OS. To get a cursor you'd most likely need to flash an ICS rom in order to get a cursor.

I guess you're right, either ICS or CM which isn't available at the moment for rezound. Was hoping an app or mod as i have seen lower OS with CM have this feature. Thanks.

Bluetooth keyboards that work on flyer/view

Im trying to find a small bluetooth keyboard that will work on the flyer/view but its hard to tell what works what doesn't .
If you have one that works with this tablet can you please post
What keyboard it is, and a link if possible
What Rom is on your tablet
If you needed any special apps to get it to work.
Thanks
any bluetooth keyboard should work fine. I have a motorola and a stow-away and both work well. no apps required. no special ROM
Oh, I was under the impression people had trouble getting them to pair and function with it.
I have never had any problem on either GB or HC with keyboards.
Headsets don't work on either, Headphones do, but headsets won't the mic won't work
My stowaway mouse works on my view w/GB. But the View doesn't recognize the keyboard special function keys needed to input the numbers code.

Bluetooth keyboard mouse

Has anyone used bluetooth keyboard and mouse with this phone?

use pc for mouse Sorry.... was kidding.
As per L9 spec... we have BlueTooth Version 4.0 (GAP, A2DP, AVRCP, FTP, HFP, HSP, OPP, SPP, PBAP,HID). You can use almost any device which supports these standards. Any BT Device which can be recognized as Human Interface Device (HID) can be used, including mouse. It will work exactly like your old BT keyboard with old phone. No change.
VIDEO FOR KEYBOARD HERE
The fact is nobody asked this for mouse before, hence you are first person (in my life) who is interested in connecting mouse to touchscreen smartphone. You can go ahead and make a history....
Here are some BT Mouse.... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=bluetooth+mouse&_sacat=0&_from=R40
