[Q] When you receive a phone call, the phone mutes itself? - HTC Amaze 4G

This happened to all of my Amazes, even when I did a clean wipe and not restoring my old back ups. I get a call, I answer it and if my face covers the proxy sensor, it will mute the call. I have to move my face away and it will unmute itself and then I can talk. It REALLY pisses me off. Anyone else have that issue?

Oops nvm

I have the same issue. I had a call coming in, and I didn't notice it until I saw the screen.
found it....
Ok... This drove me crazy with my wife's phone. Searched all the forums I could find with no luck.
Go to Settings, Call Settings, All Calls, Alerts On Call. Hers was on vibrate. I clicked sound and it works fine now. Off also works.
Hope this works for everyone.

[Q] Problem with the notifications during call!

Was on a call, an email came to my exchange account and it started playing from my earpiece. Couldn't hear a word of the other party. Cut the call and restarted the phone. Was on a call with him again and then an another mail. BAM was waiting for the song to end.
I tried opening the email. Reducing the volume to minimum. Turning the speaker on. Mute the call. shake the phone arghhhh
I work on night shifts and the song "RIGHT NOWWWWW" by Korn plays when an email comes The second time I let it play and was just mute. damnit.
Is this how the phone normally behave? Just bought it a few days back. This doesn't happen when I am on a Viber call. only on GSM calls...
Am running stock samsung ofw 4.0.3 with SiyahKernel S2-v5.0i.
can anyone happen to help me please? i am still facing the issue. i am unable to stop the notification sound until it actually ends on its own. the call i am on when the notification actually comes turns out to be a waste i just am unable to stop the notofication sound...

for anyone facing the problem of notifications during calls, you can do the below to turn them off during calls.
system settings -> call -> call alert -> alert on call (you need to uncheck this.)
done

[Q] Cannot hear people when making or receiving calls?

When I make or receive phone calls on my phone, I cannot hear the other person - however they can hear me. I can hear them when speaker phone is on though. All my settings are normal, and nothing has changed since the last time my phone worked. Would this be a hardware issue? Is there any purpose to factory resetting my phone?
Thanks

[Q] Help! No voice call + GPS can't get fix

I just replaced my Verizon S4's camera module. Afterwards no more voice calls. However LTE data and text both work fine. I can also see the signal bars and they are just as strong as before. If I make a call no dial tone no sound but it will say "dialing..." for several seconds before "hanging up". No calls are actually sent to other phones. When someone calls it, phone won't react at all. It's as if the voice call feature is completely gone. Yet sms and data are both fine. Speaker phone, headphone, microphone and vibration also work. Also GPS won't get a fix now - it will keep searching forever until I turn it off. I wonder if it's related to the no-call issue? What part(s) did I accidentally break during the repair process? If I knew what went wrong I can probably find replacement for it. So far everything else works. Please help!
