[Q] Calendar past event sync - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I have just tried to search for a past event in my google calendar and couldn't find it. I resorted to searching my calendar on my phone and found it straight away. I have checked online and all past events are visible. It seems that my transformer is not syncing events before the 17th December 2011. I have checked the calendars are set to sync and have even deleted data and re synced but to no avail.
Does anyone else have issues with the calendar or is it limited to only downloading a set length of history on the Prime?

Same issue here. I workaround I found is to modify an existing event, then it appears on the tablet calendar. It's the the ideal, but it helped me a lot. Most of my recurring events are now showing correctly on my tablet.
But I agree, there should be a "resync" option. I would like to resync everything.

[Q] Calendar not fully syncing with Google WebOS 3.0.5

I just noticed that my Calendar app isn't fully syncing with my Google account - events from random dates are missing even after a manual sync. I've tried deleting & then re-creating the calendar account but with no success. My Android tablet is syncing fine so I don't think it's a problem at Google's end. Any ideas?
Thanks
After a bit of digging I discovered that this seems to be a well-known bug that no-one is in a hurry to fix. The workaround is to change your calendar to an Exchange one - http://www.webosnation.com/improve-google-calendar-sync-setting-it-microsoft-exchange-account

Calendar syncing issue on Galaxy S3

I'm just starting off with Android, and I can't figure out how to get my Google Calendar synced with the S3. Here is a screenshot of when I hit Calendars in "S Calendar": http://i.imgur.com/p3CcV.png
When I create a new event, I can choose which calendar it should be in: http://i.imgur.com/7V5lS.png
I created a Test event and tried choosing either of the other calendars, saving and syncing, but no matter what I cannot see the event on any other machine with my Google account. In Accounts and Sync, my Google account options are all checked to sync. This damned thing will not sync, though
(Contacts syncs fine, thankfully). Would appreciate any help!

My advice is to login from your notebook or desktop computer first and access Google Calendars directly as you can setup your main calendar much easier there. Once setup (calendar name, color, sharing options, etc), you can easily go under S Calendar and choose to sync the name of the calendar you just created online.
Afterwards, you'll be able to add/delete events from both your device or on your computer. Hope this helps!
Thanks, the problem is a little different now as I finally got the damned thing to sync with my Google account. Now, every time I create a new Event I keep getting the default calendar to be Samsung Calendar: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iq8bco0pnp7s2ni/Screenshot_2012-06-28-21-23-52.png
Yet in the S Planner Settings > Calendars I have this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hdj6hpp3tjvo66y/Image-1530870737.png As you can see, I only have my Gmail account checked, I have the My Calendars/Tasks and Samsung account all unchecked.
I even went into Accounts and Sync and unchecked every option for my Samsung account there, so the only account syncing right now on my phone is my Google account. Still the new Events in S Planner default to the Samsung Calendar!?! Greatly appreciate any way to solve this
Have you tried clearing data in calendar and calendar storage in settings yet? Then resync calendar stuff after that.

I'm having the same issue after I created a new gmail account. It syncs fine with my BlackBerry. When I added my new gmail account on my S2 it wouldn't sync my calendar or contacts. I thought there was an issue with my S2. It won't sync to my S3 as well. Is there something in gmail that I have to do? The calendar dates are still syncing on my old gmail account.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks, I did that, even rebooted the phone, but Samsung Calendar is still default. I think I'm going to use Jorte and forget about S Planner, despite how great it looks :/
I fixed my gmail calendar sync issues. No need to respond in case someone figures it out later on.
I got Calendar Calendar Events synced just fine, but apparently it won't sync Google Tasks. It wants you to use the Samsung-specific task system I guess. That sucks.
As soon as I root my phone I will delete the calendar app. I use the "Jorte" calendar app (available in Play store) which syncs everything and has the most robust options of any calendar app that I've seen so far (wince the last time I went app hunting last November, could be new apps by now). Jorte allows you to view Google Calendar Events and Google Tasks at the same time in multiple, customizeable different types of views (monthly, various versions of weekly views, daily, etc). Jorte is SUPER customizeable. I have found no other app that comes close in terms of functionality.
Another app call "LLama - Location Profiles" lets you automatically customize just about any aspect of your phone depending on your location and time of day. It will change your profiles automatically when you enter or leave a location at certain times. You can even tell it to remind you about something based on location and time. For example, you can have Llama remind you to "Clean Mom's car" when you arrive at Mom's house, or to "Ask my boss that question before I leave work!" if you are at your work location and it is almost time to leave.
That's a shame Samsung won't let you sync Google Tasks.
It's even more of a shame that Android's native Calendar app doesn't support Google Tasks. Come on now Google!

Thanks, yeah I have gone through oodles of calendar and task apps over the last few days, tried damn near everything worth trying, and I've settled with an excellent combo for me: Astrid + Jorte + Agenda Widget. It does everything I need. Thanks for the Lama app heads-up, will check it out!

same here
What's the "desktop g-calendar?"
Though I've been using Jorte all this time quite happily, after resetting a few days back I solidified that not entering your Samsung account information on first boot of the phone solves the S Planner syncing/calendar choice issue pretty much. You must set your Google account up first, then a Samsung account if you'd like. S Planner will then see the Google account as "default" and use it.
desktop as in when i access from my desktop pc. or laptop.

S3 Calendar Syncing issue
I just added a Google Calendar from the play store. Synced instantly!

Dear Google-Android- and Samsung-S3-developers!!
Here is a list of some very annoying facts:
- I have a Sasmung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 with the latest Android-Version 4.1.2.
- if I set up a new Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account on my S3 and sync it with my corperate Exchange 2010 Server I have duplicated entries in my S-Planner Calendar right from the very first sync.
- especially birthday entries (untimed entries with yearly repeat) are duplicated.
- I can reproduce this bug no matter how often I delete the calendar memory, remove and re-instal the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account, reset my phone etc.
- if I google this bug I get thousands of hits where users are reporting the very same bug with their Android phones (like in this thread).
- some of these duplicate entry bug reports go back for more than 1 year but so far no solution.
- syncing of contacts, emails and calendar entries with MS Exchange is considerd to be a basic function of a smart phone. That's why this functions is part of the pre-installed OS.
- the pre installed Exchange clients on all other devices (Apple iPhone, Nokia Symbian or Windows phones etc.) do NOT have this bug. Thus this is an Android bug and not MS Exchange.
SO WOULD YOU PLEASE FINALLY FIX THIS ANNOYING BUG IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!

Google calendar sync

I know that there are many postings regarding the problems some people are having with syncing events to Google calendar but I have not found a solution to a fairly simple (at least simple to describe) problem I am having.
If I add an event to my Google calendar from my laptop it appears in my Calendar (the stock one that came with the Tmo Samsung S III). However, if I add an event on the S III and specify that it is for my google account calendar, it will not sync to Google. Is there a way to get events to sync in both directions?
Thank you.

I just tested this on my Samsung GS3, and it worked just fine when I made an event on my phone. I had to refresh the Google Calendar page in my browser on my PC in order for it to show up there, though.

Thanks for checking. It works fine for me when I add events to Google calendar via the browser on the laptop but has not worked in the other direction. I'm not sure if it helps in diagnosing my problem bur when I click the + to add an event, I immediately get the message "Google calendar cannot sync with Samsung Kies. Use My calendar to sync with Kies"

[Q] Calendar only syncing one way

Hi everyone,
My phone Andorid version is: Gingerbread - 2.3.5
Until few days ago calendar sync was working without problem. But now stopped sync to google servers.
For example:
If I add appointment to my Google calendar online (browser on PC), it shows up on my android calendar - no problem. But when I add appointment on the android calendar (using the factory calendar as well as "Bussines Calendar") the appointments don't show up on my Google calendar online, but instead it's get deleted in my android calendar.
I've tried:
Restart the phone.
Syncing several times, turn sync on and off many times.
Clearing the data of Calendar store and Calendar applications.
This also happens on device Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (gingerbread)
Checked that I adding appointments to gmail calendar and not on local calendar
Can anybody with OS Gingerbread try this?
I've have the feeling that Google changed something on their Calendar services online....
Thanks.
Hello I came to this forum to search for the answer to the same question.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with android 2.3.3 and I cannot add any new event to the google calendar. The event simply gets deleted after 1-2 minutes after I input it into the phone.
I have tried searching for answers on google, but the proposed solutions did not work. I tried: clearing Calendar app cached data; also tried creating a new calendar - the new calendar is there, but new events disappear from it 1-2 minutes after being created.
I am worried that google messed up something on their side - but I have no idea where to even report it.
Yes, I saw that Google updated their Google Calendar after I visited Google Calendar page (few days ago): https://www.google.com/calendar
So there must be some bug, becuase I also check their troubleshooter and still no solution to my problem:

Issue with calendar

Hi. I had an issue with my calendar entries on the phone not showing up online in google calendar towards the end of 2013. Prior to that, everything always showed up fine. The google account on the phone always syncs, but nothing has been showing up. To cut a long story short, today I found that changing 'My Calendar' to my google calendar gmail address (that box at the top when you're adding an event) makes it show online. So from now on, all my new entries will be assigned to my gmail address (the calendar has now defaulted to that address). and will show up online after auto syncing.
Thing is, I have tons of old entries on my phone that I'd like to get synced online, without having to edit each of them manually. Changing 'My Calendar' to my google gmail address on older entries doesn't seem to make them all default to that address like it does with new entries.
Checking my phone entries and online entries, I have all my entries online from 2011 to October 2013. But I've only got phone entries on the actual handset from June 2013 to today.
So what I'd like to try and do is get my phone entries to google calendar online just from November 2013 to today. I don't want anything from my phone from before june 2013 to go online in case it deletes what's online. Is there some relatively straight forward way to achieve this?
I'll also add, samsung calendar had also been syncing simultaneously, (which I've now unticked) so where do I go to see my calendar entries online for the samsung account?
