I have a triangular shaped spot at the bottom center of my Prime. I didn't see it referenced in the manual. Not sure if it's a defect or not since there are no displays in the store. Is this supposed to be there?
It's just an indicator for the charging/usb slot.

It doesn't light up at all.
It is on every Prime. It is to help people align their Prime to the dock.

Anyone ever go into download mode and notice that their phone is making a 'clicking' noise. Really the only way to describe it. If the phone isn't in download mode, no clicking when connected to the USB cable.
Yeah, I've heard it before as well. I just imagine it's tiny little Samsung elves laboring away inside the phone, making $#!t happen.
It's the hard drive.

I get it too, but usually after installing a rom while rebooting.
Thats just the loudspeaker given short spurts of electricity. Or sparks inside your phone that makes the battery explode, not sure.
Its the LTE radio trying to connect to the towers so your phone can boot up to 10X faster than 3G boot times.
It's the BEATS hardware giving you a little somtin-somtin while you wait.
Its the awesomeness of this phone banging against the glass trying to get free
This thread makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

I don't normally post just to post...but had to say I LOL'ed a couple times. Wonder which one of these is true?
Maybe ALL of them! YES!
Sat here and tried to come up with my own add on...but I can't match those.
Anyone notice a significant slowdown when touching or holding the phone?
I go from 65Mb to 5mb. With 2Mb of actual speed.
Very annoying.

Is there a special way to hold it that is not obvious to me. I can guess that the antenna is the top left corner.

Thanks, from what I have experienced, this phone is almost as bad as the iPhone for this issue. Why would they put the bloody antenna in the bottom left.
I get the same, unless I'm in the same room as the router I have to hold the phone in my right hand and keep my fingers behind the phone and the WiFi becomes unusable if I hold it in my left hand

I'm on Resurrection 3.0.6 with the newest Siyah. Have tried most kernels too.
I feel like this issue is worse in jb but I'm not sure. I am thinking to downgrade to ginger just to try.
But I agree with the above I max out around 1mbs when holding with my left hand.

Hi, I can not find the water damage indicator on the AT&T Galaxy Note. I do see the indicator on battery. But I am looking for the indicator on the phone. I hope someone can tell me.

It's on the top edge of the battery where the contacts are. A little white square. If it's red, it got wet.

its right next to where the battery goes into the phone, its a small hole, if you look into the hole, its normally white... (right side of the battery area, about centered)...
Got it. It is unconventional but smart way of incorporating this.

Removing the color doesn't fix the damage. Are you suggesting something along the lines of fraud? We don't like that here.

Agreed .....g
When I'm trying to draw or write on my note, when I go to use it, it draws when i get within two inches or so of the screen....
So my regular, non-cursive, writing looks like crap. Bad.
How can I turn that functionality off, or turn sensitivity down?
***Tap the S-Pen on something hard, and see if there is a difference. Took me three tries.
I'm pretty sure that is not a feature, and is a defect either in the software or unfortunately the hardware. You might need a new S Pen to fix the problem the right way.
There's a youtube video out there on how to "fix" this issue, but what it really does is reduce the sensitivity of the pen to the screen and you probably lose some serious pressure levels when applying this fix. Sorry no link, but I would advise trying your S Pen on the verizon floor model and see if it does the same thing to that one. Then you can feel fairly certain you need a replacement pen.

I was thinking the same thing... if the pen is dropped and the tip is pushed back in to the pressure sensor then it would be 'active' all the time and the hover feature would be interrupted by the phone like touching the screen. A flat tip would be a good indication of that being the case.

Woa! Confirmed! :good: Just tap it flat on a table and it's like new again.
yeah that happened to me too briefly. the pen nib is stuck down so it thinks it's touching the screen when it gets in range of the screen

I've read that this happens when you use your finger to touch the s-pen tip/point.
I had the same problem on my s-pen too. But yea, the tapping on a hard surface seems to work.

check to see if the tip of the s pen is pressed in as it would be if you were touching the screen. It is a physical button that pushes in while writing.
So recently I noticed my screen has a blue spot when displaying white. It's slightly notice to be annoying. It's not visible with blacks and less so with other colors. What to do with warranty as a last resort? Will warranty claim actually fix the phone instead of replacing it?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Is a case applying pressure to the back of the phone. That's usually where the blue dot comes from. Something is applying pressure to the screen.

A textbook case of phone squeezing while watching pron on the dna's fabulous HD.
Is blue just in one spot on the screen?

Its an isolated spot at the top of the keyboard it is about 2-3 mm wide. I will try taking it out of the case and see if it goes away.
Sometimes cases can put pressure on the screen and cause blue dots to appear.

I took it out of the case for at least 14 hours and nothing changed. I am okay with it as long as it doesnt spread. Really don't want to warranty it and get a locked DNA after running CM
I would kee it too, having a locked bootloader will be more irritating.
I've got a faint blue dot also and no case.

It happens to a lot of DNAs.. Idk something about internals pressing against screen.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
yep, if you push on the back between the htc logo and the other logos, you can see the ripple effect. there's a soft spot on there.
my first DNA had the issue, and i only used a TPU case. i'm thinking it was from having it in my pocket, screen facing out and crouching and sitting down and stuff. it would probably put pressure against the back and cause that ripple and that eventually led to a constant blue haze. i returned it right after noticing it..was very sad. lol
So this is a common issue then? I just noticed it on mine today. Will they fix it under warranty? I've only had the phone for about 2 weeks.

Did you guys with the blue dot send the phone out to get Jtagged?
If so, the blue dot is an overtightened screw (Did it to mine when I JTagged it... Pop the back off and loosen the screw a little bit... It might not ever go away, but it lessens he effect... Also lessens the possibility of the screen cracking from it)
