Clockworkmod Touch Recovery? - HTC EVO 3D

I just got the New Touch Recovery on my Evo3D and its Ok so far, Is Anyone else out there currently using it?

Just got Nervous as Hell!!
Tried to Flash a Rom that got Stuck, then tried to use a Super wipe zip that said No room on Sdcard, although there is... Then tried to Restore a Nandroid, which said MD5 mismatch!
Not sure what's up but I Never ran into this on my Evo3D until I Flashed the Touch Recovery... Anyone having Issues as well?

It's Pissing me off like Crazy!! I'm about to Switch back, Thanks...

I believe that if you have issues restoring a nandroid you can flash the img files via fastboot.

ClockworkMod Recovery now has NATIVE support for the EVO 3D...
Just Download from the market, select the phone, and click Install...
For those that dont want to use TEAMWIN Recovery, or were unable to get a recovery to flash from S-OFF Process...

Yeah, at one point clockworkmod didn't backup the WiMax RSA keys (doh!)
I'm using CWM now though, I used Amon RA's recovery on the OG EVO. So far so good.
Does the battery charge with fastboot off and the phone off now (ie is it a new version of cwm for the Evo 3d)?

Not sure, I'm trying to find a changelog for CWM, having a little trouble finding it.
EDIT: found this, but doesn't specify minor revisions.
http://gh-pages.clockworkmod.com/ROMManagerManifest/CHANGELOG.txt
Working good...
Did a full backup/restore to test.... also flashed 2 roms and 1 kernel...
I have CWM Recovery installed from Revolution.
I installed Clockwork Mod Rom Manager and before I try to update I wanted to see what thinks I have and what it's going to upgrade too.
But after poking through the other options it thinks I have NO Clockwork recovery installed.
U have to install the one from the Rom Manager App

And you're using the same version of CWM to create and restore the band?

Clockworks recovery & Bootmanager

I have clockworks recovery which I installed when rooting and s-off.
But in clockworks recovery it keeps showing it needs installing. When i do, it freezes and I have to pull the battery.
Boot manger let's me install leedriod ROM and high rom on slot 1, but when i try to boot slot 1 ROM. It still boots phone ROM.
Am sure clockworks recovery problem is what's not letting me.
Any thoughts of what I can try to get both working right , so I can be testing and running different ROM?
Any one solved this one?

ROMManager doesn't work properly with the GSM version of the EVO 3D, so you'll have to live without it until they fix it.

I don't think this is in the right section but beside that. Rom Manager does as a matter of fact as if today handle the GSM version properly go flash version 5.x from rom manager. Just make sure you clean the download cache
Rom Manager fixed and it works with Evo 3D GSM now... just update
Cheers for that, been trying for almost a week now.

tried, seems not working on my EVO 3D (HK version). can not boot... ok... takes more time to boot then normal
That means i can install the new 5. ... Version of cwm over the one from revolutionary?
Edit: Are there not any problems when i install cwm over revolutioonary?? Or is that problem solved with the newest version of cwm??
Best regards

No problems here at my HTC EVO 3D X515m GSM!
I installed "recovery-clockwork-5.0.1.9-shooteru.img" over "cwm-4.0.1.4-shooteru.img" manually via fastboot and via ROM Manager!
Seems there is only a navigation problem or so at new
"recovery-clockwork-5.0.1.9-shooteru.img" from clockwork!
I canĀ“t choose a option at the new recovery, only if I enable the
"back menu button" at the recovery menu.
Every time I boot into recovery I`m at the first option (reboot system now)
Then there I have to press volume up,volume down and again volume up.
Then the "back menu button" is enabled and I can choose all the options
which are available at the recovery!
Please somebody help me. I installed bad kernel, and ROMManager the ends the Clockworks Recovery. Does'nt start the Rom, and I cannot restore it. How it is possible to make the Clockworks Recovery free, and to restore the Rom?
ROMManager allows nothing in the Clockworks Recovery to make.
Thanks.

after installing cwm 5.x, did any of you experience battery charging problems when running your battery down to 0%? the phone doesnt want to charge when it is off. a battery pull will not fix the issue.

Try, battery pull and recovery mode that should help it charge again.

On my GSM 5.0.2.0 CWM if i go to 0% battery and phone shuts off I cant charge. So I pull battery for a half hour, put it back in and boot into recovery and charge for 10 minutes, then power off and then reboot. It has worked twice, hopefully an update will come sometime.

Hey man as far as Gsm is concerned, I'm not to familiar with it... But with the Cdma Evo3D there's a P86IMG.zip for the Radio and Another one for what's called RPM. The RPM I guess Fixes issues that come with a Frozen All Black screen. I used Both and Haven't had a problem since, see if there's maybe a version for Gsm, it Works!

Clockworkmod doesn't work

I have hboot 1.5 and used fastboot to flash the clockworkmod 5.0.2.0. shooter image, but whenever I try to boot into recovery my phone sits at the HTC screen for a while then reboots into the OS. TWRP works fine, but I prefer CWM. Anyone else have his problem/ figure out how to fix it? I have also tried using rom manger to flash cwm, but the same thing happens.

Have you gone to Settings>Power and Unchecked the Fastboot option?
Unless there have been some new developments, only older CWMR versions work on EVO3D. I use 4.0.1.4

Where are all the CWM defenders now?
*Anytime ANYONE has an issue with it, they scatter.
*Anytime ANYONE has something negative to say about it, they get all up in arms and butthurt trying to defend its effectiveness.
This OP has just provided another ^^^ post stating that it is, in fact, not working correctly...
Deja Vu all over again.
By the way, OP, you state that TWRP "works fine", but you "prefer" CWM...
(Why would you prefer something that doesn't work over something that has been proven to work time and time again?)
CWM hanging?
I've got another problem with CWM. Planning to install a custom ROM on a Blade and booted into CWM ( v5.0.2.0 ) and it looks OK, gives me the menu but if I select any option it just hangs at the "hat" image. If I press the phone's menu button I can get back to CWM menu and select another option with the same result but can't go anywhere else.
The phone will only boot into CWM and I can't access the phone via USB.
Is it bricked? Any ideas how I can get out of this?

Nandroid Restoring problem

Hey guys, I have the twrp recovery (non touch screen version) and a lot of the times when I try to restore to sense (from miui) it just shuts off half way during the restore. Btw this is with more than 50% of battery life. Has anyone else been having issues with this

Try wiping before restoring
Sent from my PG86100
There are two versions of twrp, each can only restore backups that were made with that version

so id need to flash the sense rom and then restore it??
Idk what you mean. If you made a nand with the old version of twrp you need to flash that version them flash the nand, then flash the new twrp and nand it. Then you would have a band that could be flashed with the current 1.1.xxx twrp
sent from my EVO 3D via XDA app on ViperROM
I think what he's saying is that if you made a back up using the old 1.0.3 version of twrp it won't work on the 1.1.1 version which was the latest one before the touch interface recovery.

I have twrp v1.0.0. Whenever I flash miui and then decide to restore back to my sense rom through nandroid restore, it would just shut off.
Then I'd have to reflash the sense rom and start over..
To get sense to fully restore without my phone just shutting off halfway through should I flash sense, reboot the phone, then reboot to recovery and restore??
I hope this makes sense guys.

Try it. I had a similar issue, except it didn't shut off. Mine would just stop half way through restart. I ended up having to wipe and start over because somehow my nandroids got corrupted.
Comcastrated
u might want to try to flash recovery again. I had this issue with twrp. Some backups would not restore. I went back to cwm.
This happened to me also it ended up being how I renamed the backup.

Same thing happened to me on the OG Evo. At the time, did not know that renaming them would not let them restore properly.

Tried to do.....dun dun dun

Okay now that I've got your attention I'd like to address my problem. I made a back up of my stock Rom when I first rooted it, I'm trying to restore it but it keeps getting bootloops, I've only flashed two roms and that's cm10 and meanrom ics I wanna go back to complete stock but cant because I can't download ruu and I downloaded the p739373929 or what ever it was off the s on back to stock guide and ran it and dun dun dun nothing happened, it ran rebooted right back into mean Rom like wth lol... Anyone got any idea why my restore isn't working? And why it keeps getting bootloop?

I don't know why your getting boot loops, are you saying that you want to go back to stock as in unroot?

If you're son then you need to flash the kernel for what ever base you had through fastboot or use dumlock to restore the entire back up in one attempt. To use dumlock you will need a working rom

Ya I figured it out like 10 seconds after my reply lol damn brain farts

I generally stay away from dumlock on son devices but for nandroid restore its less hassle then having to download a corresponding kernel or trying to extract it
