Yesterday after I un hooked my charger from my phone it was charged 100 percent and it hasn't left 100 since. When i plug in my charger it no longer says charging and when i look at my battery status it says unknown.
I rebooted multiple times, i pulled the battery and it still reads 100 percent.
Has anyone seen this before? I haven't tried clearing the battery cache in bsr yet, i wasn't sure if it would work since the phone doesn't seem to be recognizing it's plugged in.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am running stock cm7 without any enhancements or scripts at all. Cm7 was installed the day after it was released on top of a fresh sbf, i have had zero issues until this.

I just pulled the battery out and plugged the charger in, it booted up to recovery i restarted system, booted into the os then put the battery back in and it is now in a charging state and it does seem to be charging it's gone from 5 to 12 percent so far.
Once it's fully charged i will wipe the battery status in bsr then fully drain and charge back up again, and see if it works??
First time for everything i guess. I was wondering if my battery was starting to fail.

I get that issue once in a while but reboot normally clears it up.

Rebooted multiple times and it never reset. All seems to be well now battery is in a discharging state. Weird that's the first for that one.

Glad you got it cleared up!

Okay but it should be at 100 and then when I turn it off, should I charge it too?
Charge to 100%. Reboot into CWM with the charger plugged in. Wipe Battery Stats and reboot. After that unplug your charger and you will most likely have less than 100%.
(2) Plug the charger back in and let it fully charge again to 100%. Run it down to 5%, then charge it back up again to 100%. Rinse and repeat (2) 3 times. Your duration between charges will get longer each time.
Always has worked for me on any Android.
Try to time it so the FULL charges are through the night to avoid interruption in the process. I know I have a hell of a time not touching my phone for 2 -3 hours while it is charging. Lol.

This is what I was looking for. Thank you!
Recently I've had a problem where my battery meter doesnt go down till I reboot. Sometimes it will, and then it'll drop like 15% or so. I've had 100% for like thirty minutes now and its kinda scaring me.
Das Bamf 1.3.2
Ziggys 4.6.11 CFS kernel
Edit: it just dropped to 97%... No 99 or 98

I had the same problem on Das Bamf....couldn't figure it out. I'm on Perfect Storm now and have no problem with it reading correctly now. I like Das Bamf but can't use it until that is working.

I'm not so sure its a problem with the Rom. It didn't start happening till I wiped my battery stats a couple of times.

i been having the same problem but only on my extended battery. if i put my stock one in it reads it just fine and it drops down. when i put my extended battery in it gets stuck forever and if i reboot the phone i lose like 30 percent later on in the day. i did all the methods i can find.
bump charge the phone wipe status let it discharge completely recharge it full and still nothing. i dont worry about my phone dying because its the extended battery but its just more annoying than anything

its not a rom issue for me I believe because I tried chingy rom also and had the same problems. I am now trying virus and will see. But as mention the stock battery works just fine for some reason.
are you using stock or extended battery

Well I am having the same problem, except I am on the stock rom, and have never wiped my battery data. I am however rooted, and removed some of the verizon bloat (e.g. blockbuster, ect). Stock battery as well. The indicator and widgets will show the correct percentage on boot, but will not update after that.
I noticed it last night when I was trying different battery widgets. I have tried removing them, rebooting, nothing seems to help.
***UPDATE***
I think I fixed my problem, i'm not sure if they are all related, but here is what I found. I noticed I was getting a force close by SuperUser. So I force stopped it and cleared its data. Did a reboot and now all seems well. No force closed and the indicator appears to be updating.
I'm using battery left widget its fixing my battery metter

Ive been having this with every rom, well virus roms for sure, I just drain the battery all the way down until it dies, then after i fully charge it, it refreshes... goodluck
Hi there,
Does the x10i battery keep getting low after getting charged 100%? Just like old symbian phones?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Now even my charger is plugged in my battery level goes from 99% to 96% and it ll keep going I guess unless I replug the ac charging cable. Im on GB. Anyone else facing this?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Try wiping battery stats in recovery. Or navigate to data/system and delete batterystats.bin
Another note if you overcharge your phone it will still show 100% even tho its in a discharge cycle and could be as low as 96%.
Try free app current widget. And wipe battery stats when it shows 0
Sent from my HTC DesireHD using XDA Premium App
I wiped it and it's still getting down for example now it's plugged in and before plugging it was 92% and now it's 89% ..... :-s

OK I've got the problem. The problem is when charger is plugged in and WiFi is ON, it doesn't charge up and battery drains. If you turn the WiFi off, it'll start charging again.
Seems like GB bug.
So I was overclocking my Atrix 4g and benching it using Faux123's 1.45 Ghz kernel. CF Bench caused it to overheat and restart every time so I did the stupid task of putting it in the freezer (Yes the thing on top of a Refrigerator). And I didn't just put it in the freezer I put it near the part where the fan blows in the cold air. Apparently that wasn't a good idea since my phone suddenly Jumped from 60% battery to 19%. Basically loosing 40% of its charge. Followed by a FC and Reboot.
That night I wen't to sleep and plugged it into an AC charger, it was charging for about 12+ hours. And now my phone won't charge over 60% (Kind of makes sense with the 40% battery loss) and wont go past 1109 mAh ( it's a 1930 mAh battery).
My question is: Have I ****ed up 40% of my battery forever or this something that can be fixed. Note: I have already tried wiping the battery stats.
Try to take out your battery and plug your phone into a wall charger, after that place your battery back into your phone and let it charge

Thanks for the reply.
Should I wait until it has drained or not?
Shouldn't make a difference
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
If that doesn't work, try recalibrating the battery...
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Thanks guys I managed to fix it by plugging it in without battery and then putting it in. however it.still showed 50% so.I went into recove.and cleared.battery stats and now its.at 100%

I've had a problem in the the last week my note has started to shutdown when the battery gets low. It does fine until it gets to the point where the battery shows yellow and then it just shuts off. There's no notification like normal or anything to let me know it's going to happen. I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one and it does the same thing. I thought maybe something corrupted the rom so I wiped it and reflashed fresh WITHOUT using a backup and it still happens. I starting to think it's a hardware issue has anyone else ran into this?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You still haven't ruled out software if you flashed the SAME Rom/kernel.
assuming the rom is fine, download isn't corrupt, and you flash it properly... Do you do batt calibration and or wiping batt stats? update recovery?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The roms fine I used it for a long time with no issues. What is the best app for battery calibration
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Charging it to full for longer than you might normally would do more than any app....
The os wipes the stats each time the battery is charged fully, and are only used to display usage in the battery section of the settings menu. They do not actually effect power consumption at all.
I usually try to run the battery down before bed so it can charge overnight and it still just shuts off. I'm really starting to believe it's a hardware issue. Like the phone doesn't recognize where the battery level is correctly
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Try cleaning the battery contacts with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.
Probably won't help... but does no damage to try.
OK thanks
