[Q] inductive charging battery cover - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am looking for a inductive charging battery cover for my wife's new Thunderbolt. I have looked at verizon.com, ebay.com, amazon.com, and several shady looking accesory online stores. Every where I look seems to be out of stock. As her phone is brand new I do not want to mod it. I would just like to order this cover. Does anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks for your help.

Anybody here used either of these? I know you usually get what you pay for but many people over at ppcgeeks have had success with the battery. Just wondering if anybody over here has bought into the hype.

battery is standard OEM size too, so no need for a replacement back cover
I have the battery bought from the same guy, and it works really well.
Bought a similar cradle from shop.brando.com.
Really happy with both cradle and battery.
I would've ordered the battery even if the reviews were bad.
Worst case - You end up with a cheap "spare" battery that can be a lifesaver.

[Q] Extended Battery! Protective case anyone???

Mugen makes an extended battery (http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-samsung-galaxy-note-2-with-battery-door.html ). I am happy to see it, I have used extended batteries on all of my last three Samsung smart phones going back to the Galaxy S, the only problem is no one makes a good protective case for them. Anyone have an Idea how we can get a company to produce one?
I just got one for x-mas its made by zilu tech. I think att might be the only place that sells them but im not positive. You can turn the charger on and off and charge the phone and the case with one plug.

Thank you for the heads up. Looks like the reviews are a mixed bag will you do a review after you have had some time to play with it?

Extended battery case

hey all,
Im thinking about getting an extended battery for my note, probably a 5200mah. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before or if anyone thinks it would work. There is a tpu case thats meant to cover phones with extended batteries. Ad says n7000 but ive seen another ad that lists the n7000 and i717 as being compatible.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/S021-NEW-TPU...hone_PDA_Cases&var&hash=item27ce2a9ae0&_uhb=1
what do ya think?
Hi, I bought both the tpu case($5) and the 5200mha extended battery with back cover($10) from eBay and am pretty satisfied. The case fits real well around this extended back cover, not being the best case only because I would prefer something more rugged, however it has a hole for charms. The extended battery is pretty good so far as well. I am a really heavy user, and this 5200mha battery lasts me for a while, definitely time and half of the original 2600mha battery. I read forums using my phone and am constantly flashing roms or playing/downloading new apps. In my personal opinion I think this battery and case are worth the $15.
triavq,
So how do you like the battery and case? I know it's been many months, but I am curious?
I have the same one ordered (in Black) but not received yet..long way from china to here!
I going to try and squeeze that case around a 7000mAh battery and back cover. I don't like the squared off back cover that comes with some of those extended batteries.
I am hoping the 7000mAh battery isn't much thicker than the 5200mAh ones.

Add Qi Wireless Charging + NFC ~$14

So like many others I'm sure I thought the Verizon LG G3 included wireless charging. So I bought my Qi charger and put my phone on it only to find out it wouldn't work. I dug a bit deeper into the subject and found someone who had debunked the idea of Verizon leaving the wireless charging feature in the phone.
If you didn't know it, the Verizon LG G3 does not include Qi (or any) wireless charging. I found a replacement for the sticker in the back cover. I've seen others who bought the back cover and sticker for just a bit more aftermarket. But if you want to keep your shinny nice LG back cover this is for you. I bought two and are working great. (have not tested NFC functionality but the pin outs are there and have no reason to think that it doesn't work.
Here is the link. Shipping was decent and quite fast (faster than there projected time frame) I was happy with the purchase and can now Qi the LG G3!
ah, so it seems I'm new here and can't post with the link below. Either go to dealsishop dot com and search for it or piece the url back together.

The NFC works fine.
Just got mine in yesterday. Took about 3 days to get after ordering. Put it on this morning and both qi and NFC work great. It even charged with my case on, which is awesome.

I ordered two of them from here. Added the dot for ya. LOL

Fast shipping and they work great.
I noticed that the phone gets little warm where you sit it on the Qi Charger but probably normal???
I ordered the back from the same site, the Verizon Black Back cover.
Got it today and nothing, but the back contacts look nothing like the site shows I have attached a photo. Looks like the contacts are not lining up correctly or are not raised enough to meet the back of the phone.
Have emailed the company, hopefully they will make it right.
I just got a sticker off eBay for $10 we will see what happens
I ended up ordering one of these back covers:
LG G3 Verizon VS985 Black Battery Door Back Cover with NFC QI Wireless Charging
Received it today and it works great!

Thanks for this.. I have been looking, reading reviews on Amazon and Ebay. There's two things that bother me about this. This is a flagship, premium phone, one of the best in my opinion. Yesterday, I went to Verizon to see if I could buy one there. 27.99 for the battery door, then 27.99 for the Qi Charger. thats over 50 bucks for something I ordered here for 27.99.. First off, why wasn't this on the phone originally? Secondly, why is Verizon trying to break the bank on something that should have already been standard on the phone? Sadly, I know the answer to the 2nd question. End rant here
Really though, I'm on XDA atleast 5 times a day and really never look at Accessories. Thanks for the great advice!
Finally got mine
Ordered my QI charging kit 2 weeks ago from china, finally got it, paid about $8 for the sticker and charger on ebay, put it on tonight, works great, heres what I got if anyone is interested, like I said, your gonna wait about 2 weeks for it though.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/271668861732?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Hi, I bought the same one, and it works perfectly!
Thanks for the recommendation.
I bought the same one on eBay as well. Wireless charging works great but NFC doesn't work at all. I've contacted the seller to see if I can get a replacement sticker.
Mine doesn't work at all. NFC or wireless charging

I bought 2 of these. Installed the sticker without issue. The charging pad lights up, the phone says it is being wirelessly charged, but it is not. The percentage is actually going down while it says it is charging. Going to try a different charger tonight, but it does the same thing plugged into a computer.
As another poster said the NFC works fine the qi however does not work stock.
Also, I have had a really bad experience with those stickers. I probably bought about 5 and none of them worked. Returned them and received replacements and they still didn't work so, I went ahead and bought a battery door with the nfc and qi functionality built in and that has worked for me. Although the NFC is seemingly not as responsive as it was with the stock back.
If you want to drop some money the slimguard case is pretty cool and includes both, 320 is the US version. Mine took a month to get here. I was lucky with sticker on original back plate but it was a bulky sticker and seemed like back plate barely went back on. Adding a case didn't give the best qi charge rate so I just got slimguard
Zerolemon and NFC/QI stickers
Has anyone had any luck with modding/retro-fitting the zerolemon rugged case/extended battery (http://www.amazon.com/Warranty-Zero..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1426945301&sr=1-6) with one of the Qi stickers? I'm not looking for the wireless charging as much as I am the NFC functionality as the case doesn't have pin-outs for it.
Yes, I have NFC and qi charging working fine with the Zerolemon case & 9000mah battery. I just carefully lined up the connections & affixed the connections part of the sticker to the phone with tape. Then put a small piece of foam on top of the connections to put pressure on the connections when the back cover parts are installed. I put in the battery & laid the coil part of the sticker over the battery. I then snapped the plastic back with the battery cutout carefully over both the battery & the sticker being aware not to break the wires between the connections & the coil when pinching them between the plastic & the top of the battery. A bit of a hack, but as long as you don't remove your battery that often it should hold up just fine.

Excellent, thank you! I've ordered the stickers and will attempt it soon!
How long does it take for a full charge wirelessly?
Well, I actually don't know exactly because I rarely drain the 9000mah battery all the way down, lol. Under normal use for me, I get down to 50-60% remaining be EOD and 6-7 hours on my Powerbot qi charger has it at full charge when I wake up. What I'd say is that I feel this charges nearly, if not just, as fast as it does plugged into a wall outlet. But, it does depend on the output of the charger/power adapter you are using so YMMV. Good luck putting it all together. This is my first qi charging setup and I am definitely loving not having to plug in as the Zerolemon case with it's added bulk and cover over the charging port made plugging in a tedious task.

[Q] Official wireless backplate + what case?

I can't find which case I should buy for my phone when using the wireless charging back cover. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
I thought I would go ahead and answer my own question. For those who are interested in having some kind of case with the Galaxy Alpha and who also want the wireless charging backplate, I am here to confirm that the Spigen Neo Hybrid case for the Galaxy Alpha does fit with the official Samsung backplace and it does charge. The fit is snug however, the lip does cover it as if there was no extra thickness. I have three other covers from Korea and they all aren't able to cover the phone with the wireless charging backplate. I am glad that it works.
For those who never used this brand of cases, make sure to leave on the plastic ring part and don't try to do it in two stages. I thought I had to put the rubber part on and then the ring, however, if you do that, you will most likely break the ring. Instead, just put the phone in the case all at once.
will the official extended battery work with this ?
No, I don't think so. The extended battery requires a special modified case because the battery is too fat and the official charger plate requires the regular battery, as there is no room for a bigger battery. However, in this case, I would recommend getting one of those internal pieces that you can put between the battery and the cover and attach it to the right spot, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-SlimPWRcard-Receiver-Samsung-integrated/dp/B00QMIM6EM
I have never used it, but I assume it would work. The only reason why it might not is if it isn't long enough to go over the bigger battery, but I'd say it is worth a try. Qi wireless charging is fantastic! I am going to build one into a desk I bought at the thrift store.
