I have yet to get the FP Nav to properly work (or work at all) in either weekly.
I installed weekly 6 with a fresh install and it worked until I restored my apps with Titanium.
Any ideas as to apps that would prevent this from working?
I have tried DPAD, Trackball, and Mouse. and NAV Enable IS set to Enable.

Don't restore random stuff with Titanium and you'll be fine. Just restore the apps you got from the market or sideloaded.
Hmm. I just tried to enable FP nav on weekly #6 (I had it disabled since right after install) and it wouldn't work. Moreover, the FP reader, which had been working, now doesn't work either (I get "Enroll Not Successful"). I'm sure I installed/updated an app or two in the interim, but just through the Market--I did not restore anything via Titanium.
Ah well, I don't completely trust the FP reader anyway, although when it was working it worked pretty well. If there's a way to get it working again without reflashing CM7 I'd be interested. I tried to find the settings discussed in the following thread:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977600
. . . but there is no "com.motorola.android.providers.settings" directory in /data/data. I guess those settings might be for stock roms, not CM7?
I had a lot of random reboots with FP in weekly #6 so I ended up disabling it and deleting the apks associated with it just to be sure it wouldn't reboot.
I deleted the following apks and I haven't had any random reboots since then.

My keyboard dock shortcuts (Wifi, BT, Brightness, etc) stopped working. I presume I removed something on Titanium Backup. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be?
Not only that but you can no longer apply ota updates. You should just freeze them with titanium instead of delete. Did you back them up first? I think in dev one of the posted ota install files will be able to get your apps back but I'm not sure how...there are some threads around here somewhere about restoring deleted system apps so that the ota updates work again.
Alright guys, I'm in need of some help.
I've been flashing MIUI on my Fascinate for months now and recently I've run into a problem. On RickS' 1.12.9 I'm getting a lot of FCs. About 24-48 hours after flashing and setting up my phone I get a notification at boot that every GApp along with TB, Facebook, Script Manager have "stopped unexpectedly" and need to be force closed. My flash process is as follows:
1) ODIN either DL09 or EH03
2) ODIN CWM4
3) 3 finger boot to CWM and flash RickS 1.12.9
4) Everything is fine up to here
5) TB - Restore missing user apps (just apps, not data)
6) Set up Supercharger script (update9 RC5 test 2), Voltage Control OC/UV, Glitch kernel leakage/screen state
7) Reboot
8) Wait about a day and a couple of reboots later for the force close party to start.
Has anyone run into a similar problem? I've tried a few solutions (i.e. mixing up my flash routine, fix permissions...)
Thanks,
EJ
EDIT: Also, whenever I flash weblexa's builds after step 7 I get stuck in a bootloop. I'm going to try to just flash it and reboot to see if I don't get stuck (which, if I don't probably means that something I'm doing while setting up my apps and such is the cause of the problems).

I have had this same issue, and for months it drove me nuts cause I couldn't figure out the problem.
It didn't happen so much with all google apps, mainly the market, but I did get it on others.
What used to work for the market, set your language in the phone settings. Not market settings, the phone. I set mine to English (United States) and I didn't get a FC on market since.
With other google apps, or other apps in general there are a couple a things you can try.
1. If you changed any permissions, i.e. disabled apps from loading on boot, turn them back on 1 at a time. When I disable Google Talk from loading.. I get FC's.
2. Try a clearing data/cache for the app and re-installing over the app... or clearing data/cache and uninstall... and re-install.
3. Have you changed your screen DPI? Below 190ish causes problems for me, like if I dial a number it FC's.
There is a couple more, I just got out of class and can't think of em for the life of me. I will post when it comes to me.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick reply!
1) No permissions were changed.
2) I tried wiping davik/cache. As for the individual apps, the vast majority of the ones that are FCing are system apps; uninstalling isn't exactly an option unless I just remove them from the rom.
3) DPI hasn't been touched.

I would be willing to bet you have alot of apps installed and your datadata folder is full. There is a thread on rootzwiki on how to fix this if uninstalling or moving apps to sd is not an option for you.
Yes, I searched. Both issues. Separately.
So I'm finally entering the world of custom ROMs on my Galaxy S III after putting up with rooted stock (UGH TouchWiz) for two years.
The main trouble comes with apps post-flashing. Even between versions of stock (several of which were custom), when I had to wipe the device completely unlike now, whenever I'd sign into the Play Store, the apps I'd previously had installed would be reinstalled. Then, Titanium Restoring was really just a "making sure" option. But on all the ROMs I've tried (three so far), after installing Gapps and signing in, this just doesn't happen. I'm not certain why because it's the same device and I've used TiB to change the Android ID back, even.
And this wouldn't be such a problem IF TiB didn't A) NOT have an option to only restore user apps and B) break push notifications for apps that use them.
What gives? I've Nandroid restored back to stock twice because of this.
P.S. feel free to move this into a device-specific subsection if necessary. These seemed like general issues but they may not be.

Hello? This is kinda throwing a wrench in me being able to use my phone. No matter what I do, how many times I sync EVERYTHING, when I flash the new ROM it only downloads a few apps. I'm pretty certain sync just isn't working on my stock ROM. What do I do?
I haven't used the stock or xcam camera apps for several days. I make android backups frequently (3 or 4 times a week) but don't keep more than the last 3. I am running Jasmine 4.0 as my DD with SkyDragon 2.7.4.1 kernel. This DD worked perfectly for me, camera included, for several days .
I have done lots of everyday experimenting type stuff but always returned to my Jasmine DD. Last night I wanted to use the camera and it is broken. It is broken on my last surviving nandroid. I don't have a clue what messed it up. If I install Jasmine 4.0 clean the camera works. But it takes a lot of time to get the heavily modded system back to the way I want it if I have to start over.
I have tried refreshing the LG apps and "other" apps from the Jasmine OP but it didn't correct the problem. I also noticed that I can't get the torch to work. I use lightflow but tried freezing it and rebooting and the problem remains. Before I give up and have to start from scratch again, does anyone have any suggestion as to what else to try? Thanks -
If you have the Xcam in your download folder. Just uninstall the Xcam and then move the Xcam to system app, fix permission, install from there and reboot.
Thanks for quick reply but I didn't have xcam in d/l folder.
Sorry, wasn't finished...
I uninstalled xcam and rebooted - cam app still messed up. I click on cam icon and get black screen with the "back" icon in lower left corner. I haven't changed anything camera related for weeks. I have installed LG apps from Jasmine OP but do not see com.LG.cam in link2sd app. I'm stumped.
Did you move the Xcam app to system app, change permission, installed in system app?
I uninstalled the xcam app. The native cam app is still hosed. Am I missing something? Probably so....

Maybe something broke the camera app, did you try flashing a rom or a backup with a working camera app, pull the .apk from it, flash your backup your having trouble with and re-install the apk? just a thought....
I wound up throwing in the towel and flashed SkyDragon 2.0.1 and am loving it. I tried everything I could think of after doing what android-incredible suggested and still had no camera. Clean flashing a ROM was my final choice but glad I did. Camera is back.
I'd been dirty flashing LineageOS on my Xiaomi Mi 5, with no real issues, for almost exactly a year so, on Saturday, I decided that it was time for a clean flash.
I used Titanium Backup (latest free version from Play Store) for all apps and data, and all system settings (the guide I followed suggested these 2 scripts were all I needed). I noticed that after the backup, my wallpaper was back to the default and a few other settings had been reset.
Then I clean flashed exactly following the instructions in the official 15.1 LOS thread for my device.
So I have the all the latest: TWRP, OpenGAPPS (nano), LOS SU, firmware, and last week's LOS 15.1 of course. I have nothing else like Magisk installed - it's basically vanilla.
I then completed the initial setup and then restored using the Titanium Backups. Aside from a few settings needing to be done again, all seemed well. But then the home and recents buttons stopped working, along with notifications and the drop-down settings menu.
A bit of Googling revealed that this is symptomatic of the install wizard not having completed properly so I re-triggered it using the Nova Launcher activities workaround and that seemed to fix it. When I restarted the phone however, it kicked me back into TWRP.
Reinstalling the weekly got it going again but I had to redo the Nova workaround. I can't get the fix to stick and I'm concerned that it's symptomatic of a deeper problem.
I'd really appreciate some help diagnosing the problem / advice on how to proceed.. No-one else has mentioned anything like this that I've been able to find on the Official LOS 15.1 threads so I guess it's unlikely to be a ROM problem.. Might it have been Titanium Backup messing up settings somehow?

I'm new to Titanium - how do you see which apps are frozen?

just scroll among the app list.. See if you have a purple highlight on "Setup Wizard app. Or just use "filter" on the setting, and select "show frozen apps only".

Thanks, I looked and neither Pixel Setup nor Setup Wizard are frozen on mine (although they might be just after startup - I'll check next time)
