Ics cm9/ bricked rom - TouchPad General

Has anyone noticed that after a while of screen off the haptic feed back is gone? Am I the only one who has this problem? And is there a fix or does anyone know where the problem stems from. Thanks.

I think this is a known bug.. Once the screen goes to sleep the haptic feedback is gone until a reboot is done.

Oh gotcha hadnt seen it mentioned.

Do you still have sound? My sound goes out completely along with haptic feedback.

The name of the thread is deceiving.

I flashed the Bricked ROM last night and noticed that my haptic was gone after waking too. I'm still happy to have ICS on my TP though

[Q] Delayed wakeup upon unlock. 4.0.3

Yes, I have searched the forum but only found old posts, nothing pertaining to ICS about this.
I've had this problem since 2.3, and it's kinda annoying.
When I press the unlock button it takes around 2sec for the phone to wake-up.
I thought this was supposed to be fixed in the verisons after 2.3, and now I have 4.0.3 and it's still present.
Anyone else have this problem?
Is it a Google or Samsung problem. Can it be remedied?

dose it happens by pressing home button ?
Yup

Well if you want, you could stop your phone going into deep sleep and have less battery life
Sent from my GT-I9100
Nah, don't wanna clock it up.
But is this a common problem or just some unfortunate people that have it?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I have same problem with any stock or custom rom and is verry annoying.
It's normal. I use CM 9 and I'll hit the home button on my sleeping phone now...and it took around 1 second to wake up.
There isn't anything you can do about it.
As Riz said last month, would you rather your phone deep sleep & conserve battery when you're not using it & take a second to wake up or would you rather have a permanent wakelock & resultant battery drain in order to have it wake up in a few tenths of a second ?
I mean, we are talking about a second here. Not half a minute or something.
Yay! You got a new sig!
It always makes me wonder what people expect with these threads....it's like when you wake a pc up - it isn't instantaneous...and is a second really too long to wait?
Yeah I couldn't resist ;-)
Yep you're right. People do expect too much sometimes, as you said, how long does a PC take to wake up from hibernation ? Phone takes no time in comparison.

[Q] HTC One Call Quality Issues

Hello everyone!
I have an HTC One on the AT&T network and just recently it starting acting up.
I love the phone to death, but it is creating an extremely awful hissing/loud static sound when calling someone.
It only happens on the other persons end. I can hear them just fine, but on their end they can't hear me AT ALL.
Very wierd thing is that this only occurs when making calls via on-ear. When making calls through speaker phone it's perfectly fine!
Anyone have any ideas?? This is a very wierd situation, and I can't seem to find anyone else who has this problem!
Thanks in advance!

Hi, curious if you tried another ROM and if it helped the sound?
just a quick tip just incase type~~
do you have anything covering the ambient sound hole on the back side under the power button?
or even your hand when you are talking on the phone?
I know mine used to sound messed up on the other end when holding the phone with my shoulders because it was covering that ambience sound hold.
just a thought

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that during shoulder use. But personally, that's not a factor with my issue.

I had the same problem and it freaked the hell out of me. Someone in XDA suggested it might be because of incorrect gain levels and to fix it you can try making a loud noise near the microphone. To my surprise it did work and now its perfectly fine. I called a friend and shouted as much as i could and then blew as hard as possible into the bottom mic hole. Not sure what fixed it but its worth a shot.

Accelerometer- test FAILED!?

Hi guys,
hope you'll be able to help me out with this. Under Diagnostics-->Orientation--> Accelerometer, my brand new Xperia Z4 fails the test since it won't vibrate while shaking the device! Now, vibration itself works fine it's just won't do it in that particular test. Does it mean I've got a faulty device? Can you kindly check if the same problem exists in your devices.
Also, when I've got my music/youtube on and changing orientation, audio seems to cut off for a split second during the transistion. Is it releated you think?
Thanks so much for your help in advance!

I've tried that with no luck unfortunately. What about this other "audio-orientation" issue I've got? This is my first Sony device so I don't know whether that's something normal or not?

This audio issue is software bug, i have it too. And for accelerometer i got failed couple of times, but it's working. If it doesn't work you would not be able to rotate screen orientation.

I'm glad the audio issue is a software bug. It's a bit annoying but hopefully it'll be addressed in the future updates. I can live with that...for now As for the failed test, you think it's really nothing to worry about? The auto-rotation works just fine but why it won't vibrate during the test? You reckon that's the diagnostics issue, another bug perhaps? I just wonder if that's a common issue, that's all?I hope you guys will let me know

I've tried for the millionth time and it finally vibrated then it wouldn't again! Well, I'm telling you it was far from shaking it gently . Like you said, it must be another bug! Thanks for your help mate. Much appreciated!

Only real difference I've found so far is the always on backlight and the allways on screen, though if you have a case that turns screen on/off it kills that function...
Haven't made any calls so can't comment on that.
The update is around 200mb... It's not Android 7...

It would have been nice if there was also an always off for the backlight. I guess they skipped my request I can't imagine someone would want the backlight keys on all the time. To each their own I guess. They said there were camera improvements, but I haven't tested that out yet.

The Always On back light for the keys for me is quite useful when operating the phone in the dark. It it the same as a computer keyboard with back light. I'm glad they added this feature, otherwise it's as good as not having any back light at all for the keys.
I also see a definite improvement in the audio quality. Earlier while playing tracks with silence, there was a slight hissing sound (using audiophile headphones) and I had reported this to Asus. I checked this now with a few tracks and it seems like this is fixed. I hear absolutely no hissing and the audio is crisp and clear even at high volumes. !

That's interesting. At night is when the backlight annoys me. I'd prefer they don't ligh up. Glad they made someone happy though. I'll still wait and hope for an always off feature.

Definitely put in your requests through email and at the zentalk forum. Could be coincidence, but I almost feel like the 'always on backlit' was done at a specific person's request (seen here) because it was early on and they were so vocal on the forum for this issue. Also the forum's audience isn't that big - so more of a chance to be heard.

Can you expland me more. Cause the sencond screen works perfectly when the main screen ons.
You already tried wiping and several roms, so it is definitely not a software issue. If it was software the screen would have worked with at least 1 of the roms you tried.

Guys HEEEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!
I have exactly the same problem! Surely someone knows what could cause this? Why does the backlight go off with the main screen??? The display is working, because if you shine light into it, the date/time/notifications are there it's just that the backlight is going off!!!! Surely this is software?
I've factory reset and it made no difference but that doesn't roll back to LP... I just upgraded this phone to the latest software when I bought it so don't know if it had this issue from new.
Sorry to take over the thread, will delete and start a new one if people would prefer.
Don't see how it can be hardware at fault???
Thanks in advance for any help?!

That's bad for you... unlucky.
Can you recall what (if anything) may have caused it to stop working? I'm wondering it mine went bad after LG bridge software update and restore from previous V10 (H961N).
Sent mine back and got another coming this week.. fingers crossed this time. Might update it the same but maybe not restore? or not restore settings at least?
Got my new one. Working fine except it's maybe a tad dimmer compared to my previous V10s second screen. There's definitely variation as it won't go off with my finger over the proximity sensor whereas my brothers one does (this just dims right down). A piece of cardboard or paper shuts it down. But most importantly, it does go off in my pocket... or else the wifi, sound, flashlight etc would be getting switched the whole time.
I solved this problem by checking PINs on mainboard for the second Flex Cable for LCD of LG V10, see the video, READ comments here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpeVAqgU94s, so in my case one of three PINs was folded little, so one PIN contact didn't touch the second Flex Cable and this caused the problem...
