Problems with Keyboard/mouse after ICS update - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi
I got my Prime yesterday, and upgraded to ICS after a few hours with testing that all was ok with the unit.
After the ICS update, the keyboard is buggy, and mouse doesnt work at all sometimes.
I have to disconnect and connect the dock several times for it to work properly.
I dont think its anything with the connector, because I can hear the docking sound every time.
And also, I get the connected notification on the tray.
Anyone with a solution for this, or perhaps experienced the same issue ?

[Q] Asus Transformer Prime Hdmi output problem

Hi Xda forum, I just bought asus transformer prime. I was able to output Hdmi(Honeycomb) to my plasma tv in the afternoon, however after I've upgraded to ICS, my plasma tv could no longer even detect the hdmi output with my prime tablet. I replaced the cable with a new one and still nothing happens.
If I plug in nothing happens, no reaction from my tv and tablet. Please help. What should I do ?
I'm obligated to ask you to double check the input on your TV.

Yes, I did check the input on my tv. I was able to output my prime onto my tv in the afternoon (still running HC).
My experience was just the opposite. I have a Sony Bravia TV and the hdmi output was only playing through the left channel with Honeycomb, but after ICS it is partially fixed as now it plays stereo. I would like to see it be able to pass thru surround sound too (did you hear that ASUS?)
I had a similar experience except it only involves audio. HDMI out to my tv (then back into the amp) was absolutely fine under HC. Updating to ICS stopped the audio from working, although I can still see video. Not a huge issue for me as I can get audio over the headphone socket, but it is still annoying.
The cable I initially used was bought some time ago, but it works when I connect the Prime to a Sony HMZ. I'm wondering if the audio output format has changed and my tv or amp isn't recognizing it.
Can anyone confirm whether there are HDMI settings that can help myself and the OP. I *DID* see some settings once, but can't seem to find them again.

I have video with no audio as well. Didn't try on HC, only ICS.

Man, I was kinda looking forward to using this function. For the most part my Prime seems to be flawless. Any recommendations for a decent cable so I can give it a try and report back.
Not sure if you guys noticed but there has been an Asus rep here on our forums trying to help trouble shoot. Gary Key is his user name, maybe he could be made aware of the problem. He seems to have been extremely helpful thus far.

Maybe he can... but I don't know how they're going to address the rounded edge issue. That being, the micro HDMI feel very loose plugged in and it seems the physical port degrades also. It means that you can't use the tablet to play Rip Tide or whatever because the cord will fall out or port gets bent. And yes, I have a serial number Mr. Key.
The issue for me right now is the fact that my pioneer plasma pdp 435hdg tv can't detect the hdmi when connected to my prime. I tried it before I updated to ICS and it worked!...Very strange. Tried changing the cable and all no problem whatsoever.
My cable actually fits in very snuggly, not loose or anything.

What can I do ? I've emailed to asus support team but no reply yet.
Problems
HDMI out worked flawlessly for me with HC but after the ICS update my TV also cannot detect input, tried all 3 HDMI ports just comes up with no input.....
Notes: I used one TV under HC and a different one under ICS, could change outcome
ICS also gave me the diagonal flicker, occasional reboot, and sometimes auto-orientation will stop working.
Ahh you're facing the same issue as me. May I know what Brand is your tv,bro?
TVs
The one that worked on honeycomb was a Coby....fairly cheap one
THe other on that I tried to use but failed with ICS was LG
Mine's a Pioneer plasma. It was very shocking for me because it worked an hour ago in HC and after updating to ICS it can't even detect hdmi. Certain that it isn't a HW problem just a SW prob with ICS and certain Tv's. But no answer so far from Asus/ Google worries me.
I'm pretty sure I remember reading in a Mobile tech Review article that the Prime ICS has issues outputing 5.1 audio, and that only certain channels, 2 of 5 speakers and the bass came through. So I'm guessing it's a known issue that Asus needs to fix in an update.
Updates?
Anyone else having problems??? Any information regarding this problem from Asus yet?
going into the notifications and clicking on hdmi notification made it show up on my tv
I got a replacement order on mine, my wifi is sheet, and the HDMI doesn't work. I've tested the wire with 3 TV's(Vizio,Samsung,LG) got nothing. Had my buddy test his prime with the wire and kaboom it worked.
Id get it replaced.
firmware fix
I will test this weekend if it works with the new firmware that was released on the 18th...if anyone else who had problems can test before hand please do so
Tried with the new update but still doesn't show up on my tv.

Issues with Bluetooth Mouse?

I just picked up the Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse and for the most part I'm happy with it. But it seems that periodically it will stop working for 5-10 seconds before the connection comes back.
I have been playing around with Splashtop a bunch and at first it seemed related to using that, however I have seen it happen just when I'm on the home launcher so that may have been a red herring.
Anyone else using a mouse and see this issue? I think it will get old real fast if it happens frequently...

I use the LogiTech M555b and don't have such issues. Works like a charm.

Bluetooth Problems

Hey guys I bought a new head unit for my car an Alpine CDE-133BT and for some reason when i try to stream music from it, it wont see it, i dont know weather if its the headunit or the phone. I used my moms Dash 3G and that worked flawlessly with no problems at all. I am currently running ICS EnergyROM. If anybody has any related problems with the same unit or ICS problem, help a brother out =]. Thanks
I'm running the same rom and i've noticed that when my bluetooth is paired to my pioneer deck and the deck is switched off and the phone disconnects, the phone becomes non responsive.
The screen does not respond to any buttons, just remains off...a battery pull usually fixes it though.
I wonder if its ics or the radio because I updated it to R2 hmm
update: called the guy from alpine and he said that the best way to prevent this is to go to another source on the unit wait about 30 seconds or so and it will work. The reason is because the phone is trying to automatically connect to the head unit so it gives it time to refresh and pick up the device tried it multiple times with the car on and start position works perfectly yeeee =], includes all devices not just HTC

bluetooth cycling

Just upgraded to verizon note II. I'm still 100% stock VWZ/Samsung bloatness. When pairing with my car (BMW 535xi) it constantly cycles the connect. About every minute or so, it disconnects and then spends another minute or so resynching, then disconnects ... repeat... This is for both phone and audio. My old beat up thunderbolt never had that problem.
I've seen threads where people have complained about it, but haven't seen a solution, other than the obligatory "reboot ... clear cache ... etc.." type of responses.
Is this a known issue? Is there anything to try other than the basics of pairing and resetting?
Do you have anything else you could try syncing your phone to in order to see if it only happens with your car or if it happens with anything? Might be a decent first step. I had a similar issue on one of my old phones but chalked it up to the bluetooth adapter in my laptop because it would never sync to it even though headsets worked fine.
I have had no issues with the Note II so far myself, it pairs and syncs fine to my Ford Focus for phone and media with no reconnects. I'm running Beans ROM and Perseus kernel, but I don't think there are any bluetooth changes there? There might have been something in the kernel, I'm just not positive. I know that doesn't directly help you, I only bring it up for encouragement that it should be fine once you get it sorted out.

thanks for the reply. My wife has a Honda Pilot that will not work either. Same behavior. I also have a plantronics headset but I haven't tried it yet. I'll give that a shot.
Please post questions in Q&A

nope, headset won't stay synched either.
Must be your phone. Mine stays connected fine with my and my wife's cars ('11 and '13 Acura's)
and stays connected with my sony BT headset while at work. No issues.
I think I've narrowed it down a bit. I turned off Phone Audio and the Media player stayed connected. I turned off Media Audio and turned On Phone Audio and it started the cycling bit.
Could it be because my phonebook is huge?

XPERIA Z5 COMPACT | - AUX PROBLEM - | Lag

Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllo XDA peeps.
so ages ago we all got the marshmallow update and i must say, issues have been a real thing. I did consider ROMS but too risky as i use this phone daily for business's and such.
Anyway so one problem I can not find across the whole internet is the AUX cord problem, now when i drive, I plus in the cord and this notification appears saying "Headset is connected" then disappears, then repeats almost 8 times and lags my phone which after this, goes to normal and finally works. However!
I found that in lollipop I had never had this issue, I just plug in and it works perfectly. As well as this, I found its not a hardware issue, reason being is that other headphones work, every set of headphones i plug in work like a charm.
I have cleared data and cache from smart connect, even disabled it and nothing. Ive booted in safe mode, nothing.
I really just want this sorted as I love this phone, I do. Im not sure if this is a Marshmallow update bug or something but if any fix can be found or advised to me; Id love you forever, because i miss being able to just plug in and play and not waiting for this bug to simply calm itself from this spasm.
Lag is an issue, I have no clue why but it seems the newest update caused things to get hot, lose alot of battery quick and just plain ol' lag. Any fixes on this to is perfect, at the moment though I iwsh to get the AUX cord fixed as a priority to lag.
Anyway, thanks guys and hope to hear something soon! After all, this is a 007 phone, bond never had these issues
Are you sure its not the physical connection on your phone? May it happened to get damaged when you upgraded MM.
Headphones work fine for me. I recently got a rental car with no bluetooth and bought a cheapo stereo cord to hook to the car's speakers and I saw this occur. No lag though. The major annoyance was that goggle play music would stop thinking the headset was unplugged. After some dangerous debugging while driving, it seemed like one end of the chord was defective. When I swapped the problem went away.

Literally nothing hardware related, the cord in my car works fine with other devices. It's very weird and as I say, I did a short test and found that lollipop on this device actually creates no problem, I then updated tonight and found it happens again.
I think it's more software related and I hope android N is just a pure wave ?
I have the same issue.
So so many problems with this phone ?
I have the same problem as well. What I do is plug the jack, wait for it to finally recognize it and then launch the app I need
