Light sensor sensitivty - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I hate to throw another monkey wrench into the works, but I just got a C1 from Sam's Club and noticed something pretty immediately...
I'd previously noticed that the latest B1's I'd tried from Best Buy (yes, I've been on a quest for a Prime where every hardware component at least works, even if within the Prime's general limitations) were keeping the screen a bit dim for my tastes, and I hadn't remembered my other Primes doing that. The C1, however, was adjusting more appropriately and more often.
So, I decided to check the light sensor using Elixer 2, and the B1 Primes have much less sensitivity than the C1. Where the C1 immediately picks up on lighting conditions and quickly adjusts, the B1's stick at one low value, then unstick for a few seconds, then stick back at the low value. They also don't adjust as quickly nor maintain it as well.
So, there seems to be yet ANOTHER component with some variability. Suffice it to say that the C1 has a much more sensitive light sensor that does a better job of adjusting for ambient conditions.

No difference on our two Primes.

[IDEA-PROJ] Improve display performance

Hi all,
After reading this, especially this part:
"Suggestions for Google:
1. Eliminate the primitive 16-bit display interface and fix the Browser, Gallery and other applications.
2. The White Point is too blue, lower it to D6500, which will improve color accuracy, slow the aging of the Blue OLED, reduce power consumption, and improve battery run time.
3. Improve the factory display calibration to correct the large color and gray-scale tracking errors and the irregular and non-standard display contrast and Gamma.
4. The color saturation of the display is way too high. You can trade this excess color saturation to boost the screen brightness by adjusting the software color calibration matrices. This will also improve the color accuracy of the display.
5. Take full advantage of the OLED display: the ambient light sensor now just controls the screen brightness. You should also use it to control the gamma, color gamut, color saturation, and edge enhancement so that in low ambient light the display delivers beautiful and accurate image and picture quality, but as the ambient light increases slowly turn up these parameters to counter-balance the washed out appearance of the images in bright ambient light. Also add a display Vivid or Pizzazz control because some people prefer punchy images and pictures, while other people do not.
Nexus One Conclusion: The Nexus One Display Looks Like a Prototype
The Nexus One OLED display has many spectacular qualities, but it is also loaded with lots of rough edges, hasty unfinished beta display drivers and Android software including principal applications like the Browser and Gallery, poorly implemented image processing, poor system integration together with sub-standard factory display calibration. It really looks and behaves like a prototype for a very nice future display, not a finished production display for a world class mobile device that Google markets it to be. It will be interesting to see the degree to which existing units will be corrected and improved with software updates."
My toughts are: could it be possible to tweak video drivers, or at least modify gallery and browser apks to achieve a better viewing quality?
Someone give this man a beer I couldn't have said that better myself.

Any devs watching this?
Wow...even more improvement possibilities! Modding this phone seems endless!
Yeah, I seriously believe we could improve display performance with some tweaks. I noticed that on the iphones 2g,3g,3gs and 4g, the screen kept changing color and it really did make a difference. Like the 3g screen seemed a bit yellow and 3gs was more natural and they kept on improving.
I would like to hear some dev's opinion because I think it's pretty hard to modify video drivers, as we are seeing in the "porting video drivers" thread...so I'm not too optimist...but let's see what happens
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
As a pro video calibrator I would LOVE to have an app that allows me to change the RGB levels so I can set the grayscale.
I will watch this thread with great interest. Here is to hope.
I think the start is with the rendering tweaks that is being used in cm6. Where that is, I have no clue on the technical specifications..... Sorry.
How many of the issues are hardware related though? They're certainly not going to be updating those.
I'm pretty sure I read that article a few months ago, Google appear to be quite reluctant to do anything specific to the N1 and prefer to just keep trucking along with the generic AOSP development. If anything that can be done is going to happen, it'll be due to the clever developers on this and other forums.
The N1 display looks like it's permanently in store-presentation mode, very sharp and contrasty, unfortunately it's not very realistic. If changes can be made in software to improve things, that'd be great, but I doubt it'll be Google doing it.
grayscale
Would it be possible to have a setting to make the entire display grayscale instead of color? If so, would this then allow us to punch up the brightness past it's default levels? Battery life is not my concern. Seeing my screen in the bright sun is though
Alright, I checked it out using the patch that enables nightvision mode in later CM builds, a calibration profile can most likely be done. I'll get my colorimeter tomorrow and use changing linear transformations to turn one of the modes into a calibrated profile. It's up to Cyanogen whether or not it should be added "officially," but I can just overwrite salmon or something and post an update.zip in the meantime if I can get it to work.
Lowering the contrast (and calibrating for that matter) will lower the total colors that can be rendered, so you'd have to keep that in mind. I'm not sure if the screen is 16 bit minimum (at the lowest brightness and thus the more detail the brighter it is) or 16 bit maximum (at highest brightness) as darkening the "backlight" would just narrow the gamut on the device, anyone know? The gamut may already be too narrow to justify a LUT, but I'll see soon.
From what I know, the system is capable of 24bit color, but only 16 bit native. You see, OLED displays have really high refresh rates, so they show the color above and below the target in the right ratios to trick the eye. I don't think the system does these calculations when it expects the screen to move, too high a load, and that's why tapping on the screen in the browser changes colors. This is probably just the application using the wrong settings with regards to it.
The pentile matrix can show fonts really nicely if it has the right font hinting. I've heard that it doesn't, however. I'm not sure where you'd find the best place to go about that, but it's probably out of the kernel and thus outside of my knowledge..
Edit: heavily edited for cleanliness and new knowledge.
Great contribution Storm...do you think we can correct issues noticed in FIGURE 1 (nexus vs iphone comparison) ? It would be AWESOME ...
Maybe should I open a similar thread on cyanogenmod?

we all doubt it...that's why we're unlocking FM radio and add 720p recording...N1 could really have been the iphone killer if Google did the job ENTIRELY...but really seems that N1 is an unfinished prototype, combine this with huge errors (no marketing and online-only distribution) and you have a partial failure, I know it's sad to say...
Still love my N1!
Well, it looks like the calibration profile is going to be [1, .98, .69] [R,G,B] or thereabouts. Can anyone test the temperature with their own calibrator? I'm getting 9300K when we want 6500K, the website noted earlier got 8900K. I'd like a few more test results but I can work with just my own.
I'm going to edit the files and try it out on my phone here soon enough. I can, if I can modify by-pixel colors, calibrate it to a 2.2 gamma, which would lower battery usage and the overly contrasty and cartoony colors significantly. It'll take a while though if it's even possible.
Anyone know any good apps that just show a specified RGB value across most or all the screen?
Edit: Alright, there are two calibration profiles, one for the lowest brightness, one for the highest. The values I'm getting (for the code junkies) are [1, green, .82] for bright screens, and [1, green, .80] for dark screens. The problem is that the level of green is pretty subjective. I can't measure it without doing extensive calculations, but comparing it to my calibrated monitor, .98 or .99 seems good. 1.00 should be ok, as .98 will add banding.
I'll upload the libsurfaceflinger.so with the modified profile for people to test in another thread (to be linked once I make it here)

As of now, I don't have IRE images. I just calibrated the white point, and even then, kinda inprecisely. Your data and inputs are valued, but I can't do anything more than a linear equation on the pixels. Currently, I keep red as it is, multiply green by .98, and multiply blue by .82 . It's not accurate, but it's close, and it uses less power. The gamma is still skewed to hell though.

[Q] Prime users : would you abandon Super IPS+ ? (pad 300)

Hi,
new to the forum, wondering to buy 300 (for gps w/o dongle) or prime (and can't decide !)
To prime users, I would like to know how you consider Super IPS + Mode, for outside (browsing especially) : gadget, usefull, essentiel ?
Do you use this mode every time outside or only in very bright conditions ?
I've found some videos on it but hard to see what it gives in real life.
Any commments appreciated ! Thanks.
Super IPS+
I use the Super IPS+ quite a lot. Anytime I have glare on my screen from Indoor lights or when Im sitting on my porch during daylight. It is bright enough also that I use it in the middle of the night to see the keys on the Docking Keyboard.
Super IPS+ is an amazing feature that I have come to love and would not get another tablet unless it has Super IPS.
I find it useful. I'm able to sit outside, with my sunglasses on in the sun, and read the screen clearly. I use to have problems doing the same with my Nook Color which was considered to have a decent screen for outdoor viewing. The difference when you turn the IPS+ mode on is very noticeable. If it's necessary for you to see it outdoors, then it's a worthwhile upgrade.
What applications/are you looking to get done with GPS? Just so we can assess what kind of GPS performance would be acceptable for your usage cases.
get the prime. read the thread in my signature called the positive transformer thread. super ips+ makes the screen and colors pop more. can be used indoors also.
I use the ISP + feature almost daily, whenever I'm outdoors.
Would I not consider any other tablet simply because it didn't have ISP+?
No. But it would certainly swing things in the favor of any tablet that did have that feature!
Hardly a "gimmick"...
super ips + is more than just a brighter screen compared to regular ips. super has higher contrast ratio. better color reproduction, blacks are blacker, whites are whiter..etc..colors more vibrant ans so on.
ips is good but super ips+ is a newer technology. before new ipad came out, prime was toted as having the best screen display of any tablet
Thats funny, some of the Devs working on the prime, have mentioned IPS+ is just the brightness turned all the way up (an exeptional bright screen yes), apparently the prime was artificially blocked from going to its brightest setting, and then slapped slapped with an 'IPS+ 'feature', which turns on its highest brightness setting.
This is what ive read some devs saying, im by no means an expert in the matter, so cant attain to its validity, but devs i tend to trust in these matters
Its a nice bright screen, no doubt, i guess we'll have to wait until the 300 comes out, to see whether its just as 'bright'

I might, considering what you say on super IPS+, and I believe the screen quality is essential.
If anyone is interested in, I found some benchmarks on the french site "Les numériques" for the prime :
> Contrast 1224:1 for IPS and 1138:1 for Super IPS+
> Brithness 387 cd/m2 for IPS and 619 cd/m2 (!) for Super IPS+

I haven't thought 300's normal IPS could be different than Prime's one, so I might wait some tests indeed.

I would like to use GPS in car for some real-time traffic mapping based on floating car data and/or for (legal !) community speed camera alerts (like wikango, icoyote..). But actually I don't know if either is possible without 3G (I do not have a 3G smartphone so no tethering). So I might only dream ?

Nexus 6P: The RMA Review

The Nexus 6P is my first nexus device after using HTC and Samsung as my main Android devices. I've also had most iPhone models so I'll be using my experience from both sides of the camp to make my comparison. I am writing this in the hopes that someone will be able to get a better idea of the device from a user’s perspective and see if it is the right device for them, as well as the issues that they could potentially face and decide if it’s worth replacing their device.
HARDWARE
The first experience was a bit annoying as I needed to RMA the first device due to the plastic piece on the back having a rather annoying hump on the left side. Google support for Canada was great. 2 days is all it took to get my new device. Sadly that one too had the same issue but it was far less prominent so I decided it didn’t bother me enough for a second exchange and I kept it. I also don't know if one speaker is louder or not, some videos make it sound that way while others don't. Music seems fine on it so I assume it's OK. They sound fine regardless but I know that's an issue. Neither one had any extreme issues with sound from my experience thus far. The volume with headphones on was exceptionally loud. I usually don't need to keep it super low but on this phone I did, super happy about that, same with calls over an earpiece, very loud and clear. Likewise with using the phones speaker. No issues at all.
Both of them were perfect hardware wise aside the hump. No scratches or issues with bends. The first phone however felt hollow on the back. The second one felt fuller, sturdier. If I tap the back it felt heftier vs a more empty feeling. Not sure if I'm the only one who noticed something like this, sound off in the comments. For my sized hands it feels great. The phone is a bit big but still manageable in a case (Ringke fusion). My only real issue with the hardware, more specifically the internal hardware, was the vibration. It is very weak, especially when compared to my Samsung s6/edge and iPhone 6. I've missed phone calls while on vibrate and in my pocket because I just don't feel it while I'm walking. If anyone else has similar experiences I’d like to hear your input on this.
DISPLAY
The display is where things got interesting. The first phone I got was immediately put into sRGB mode because one thing I love about iPhone is the attention to color accuracy. While not perfect has been better than all other phones I've had, even the Samsung Galaxy s6 and s6 edge. (To my eyes of course)
The Nexus 6P was to my surprise really good. While some colors were maybe a bit washed out looking when compared to my IPS monitors at home, it did a great job. The whites have been really good, and the blacks of course are perfect thanks to the amoled panel. Tilting the display down showed a greenish hue while tilting up showed a pinkish hue. Looking at it dead on I don't really notice the color shift but it was present on both models. Everything on the display is super crisp. Images, especially colorful ones are a joy to view. Everything pops and looks outstanding. I don't watch a lot of video but that was a real treat as well. Even compared to the S6, the larger display really helps in that regard.
Once the replacement arrived though I immediately noticed the difference in calibration. The new phone, which I'm keeping, had noticeably better and deeper colors on sRGB mode. The first and most noticeable was the notification menu. It was darker grey. I immediately started comparing side by side and noticed that the new phone made the old one look washed out. The colors were more accurate on the replacement and that to me was a huge win. It might be what made me not care for the smaller but still noticeable hump on the plastic. The whites on the second phone have been a bit odd as the pinkish tone is sometimes more noticeable on tilting but again, minor issue for me. On max brightness both had near perfect whites, and colors as gorgeous as ever. At around 50%, which is what my phone is always on (auto brightness turned off), the whites while still good, are toned down. It's as if a small hint of silver was added to the whites. Again, still white but you can notice the difference from the brightness levels. Lower brightness was OK, colors aren't special but then again they aren't meant to be at the level. Good for reading at night though! The rest of the colors manage to retain their consistency despite the drop. Kudos to Google and Huawei for doing a great job on the colors, I'm very happy with the results over all.
SOFTWARE
Software so far has been awesome. Only thing to crash so far was Facebook... Because it's Facebook. Everything is insanely fast. Even compared to Samsung and iPhone. Every time I think I opened too many apps or I need to reopen an app worrying it might lag, it doesn't. And it's left exactly where it was, it doesn't reload or even stutter. The experience has been such a joy. It's my first Android device to be this smooth and reliable. I still obsessively close apps but, I do it less often now. For those wondering I use nova launcher, so I can't really comment on Google launcher but I'm sure it's fine. I wish Google would have kept the dark theme but that's just me being picky and somewhat spoiled by the themes option on the new Samsung phones. I also don't root or bother with roms anymore (last one being the HTC One M7 to turn it into the Google edition).
So far I'm very satisfied with the software and lack of bloat ware. Looking forward to timely updates as well, unlike some other Android manufacturers out there....
The finger print sensor is easily the best one I've ever used. The fact that I don't need to turn the phone on to use it and get access to my home screen is just fantastic. It feels so natural for me as well since my finger naturally goes to that spot. It's fast, insanely accurate and convenient. When I get low on battery (and that's coming up, don’t worry) battery saver mode is great. It makes standby that much better and I can have enough juice for emergency phone calls or gps if needed.
CAMERA
The rear camera has been great although different on my two phones. The second phone being better. The first phone I noticed had issues doing macro shots and focusing properly when you try to get too close to an object. However on 8mp instead of the 12, it focused way better on macro and caught better details because of it. The second phone had no such issues and performed as I expected. Marcos were great on either resolution and had great colors and detail. Just an odd issue to have and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. I have not tried video so I can't comment but from what others have posted it seems really good, minus the lack of OIS.
I haven't taken many selfies but the front camera looks great, tons of detail, lots of visible imperfections to look your ugliest, highly recommend
BATTERY
Battery life has been the biggest surprise.
Having an iPhone 6 which has been the only phone to get me through a day with battery to spare, I have always been skeptical of Android and its poor battery life for my usage. To clarify, I use it for mainly texting, Facebook and it's messenger, phone calls, music, web browsing and maybe a video or two. WiFi is always left on regardless if I'm home or not, and Bluetooth is always off with location settings set on high. My brightness (which almost no one seems to point out) is always at 50%, auto turned off. Very rarely at night when I'm already at home will I turn it down but again, very rarely.
With most Android phones, my SOT has been 3-3.5hrs. Maybe 10-12hrs of standby. Pretty awful. With iPhone, I get 14-15hrs of standby on the same usage type. Now, iPhone displays usage differently from Android and on iOS I get about 8-10hrs of usage. Whatever that actually means. All I know is it got me through the day with life to spare. I'm extremely happy to say that the Nexus 6P is the first Android phone (since the note 2) to get me through a full day and have reserves left in the tank. My first full day, I got 4.5hrs of SOT with 15.5hrs of standby, 2hrs of phone calls and about 2 hours of music. Battery saver was on at 15%.
Overall I couldn't be happier with this phone, it has excellent battery life for my usage, it feels and looks great. The minor issues I had can be easily overlooked by someone less ocd than myself so it's a phone I highly recommend to anyone. Now if only we had more variety with accessories...
Hope you liked my review and if you have any questions please feel free to ask

Good review. I was using the iPhone previously and this phone feels little dim with compare to iPhone. As you mentioned white is good, could you please post a snap of Nexus 6P and iPhone side by side with 100% brightness and auto brightness off.

Sadly I no longer have the iPhone 6 as I sold it to get this phone. I'll see if I can get a picture with some help from friends regarding that.
@chrisexv6: I have Bose On-Ear, Monster DNA, Apple earpods, and I HAD Skullcandy 50/50. The Bose are still my favorite and at least for me, they are pretty loud. This being pretty subjective I can only go by my experience but I rarely push beyond half way on the volume slider. Phone calls I’ll sometimes push it up due to the environment around me but even that I find I have to turn it down because it gets too loud for my ears
@dondavis007: I have not had a chance to play with the eq so I can’t comment but in general it is definitely louder than my iPhone 6 was. I have a much easier time hearing this thing from across the room.
@Dbj.Dhaval: On my 2 units I have not seen any yellow tint thankfully. I don’t know how common that would be but hopefully it’s only in small portions.
@aygul12345: GPS has been perfect for me. I have not had any issues inside maps or the Transit app that I use daily. I’ll be sure to mention if that changes however everything is solid so far.

I noticed quite a difference with sound loudness when using Music Volume Equalizer BUT I do not know if it is the app or the phone itself, with my wired earbuds I get NO equalization difference no matter which option I choose. I say wired because with Blue Tooth it is fine. I may post another thread with this wired question.

Thanks, Not much of the difference on sRGB Mode. I think its more visible on the white, because of little warm color production on Nexus 6P.

Outdoor visibility (max brightness)

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Xiaomi Mi A1's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

Bad visibility. Tho not the end of the world, as long as you don't live in the desert.
Screen Retention is a major issue.

I can read the screen quite well (if not better)
No problem for me. I would give MiA1 4/5 stars.

well then you must have another panel/screen because on my mi a1 outside is terrible to see anything on it, is the only major issue i have with my phone.
My MiA1 has GPS problems
I received my MiA1 on September 14, 2017 (in India), one of the first 100 released by Xiaomi (with "Made in India" embossed).
I think it's part of a batch which was made, possibly, with care and high quality components.
Don't laugh, but I KNOW THIS for CERTAIN that Quality Control is SO VARIED from batch to batch in this Current time (past year 2000), that You've to be LUCKY to have a good device.
This is the "Chinese Syndrome" for QC, HAS INFECTED the World. Xiaomi is part of this.
My MiA1 GPS receiver HAS Degraded, the signals received are WEAKER, and often lose the GPS location, particularly inside a car, train (worse), aircraft (worst). You've got to be near the window, glass cover (below car's windshield).
My MiA1 Display is still the Original and Good. I think it's a matter of luck for me. All H/W are performing well ( ex GPS).

well, my display aint degraded, since the very first day the glass is very very reflective and outdoor, during day time, is hell to read it.
the panel itself is nice, good color, no flickering or issues, no changes during time.
gps for me work fine, but, work better on custom rom compared to stock.

Question S23 Ultra review, comparisons to S22 Ultra

What I love:
+Reception is even better than the S22 Ultra. Data speeds are about 10% faster and showing full signal almost everywhere with Verizon.
+Battery life is outstanding, especially with standby time.
+Speakers are louder and have a lot more bass
+Vibrate motor is a bit stronger
+Flatter screen is much better to use
+The camera is great, but so was the S22 Ultra
+Seems slightly smoother and faster
What is less than great:
-The phone is bulkier than the S22 Ultra and is rather unwieldy. The flat sides give you more to hold onto but make it feel huge.
-The screen isn't calibrated with the vibrancy of the S22 Ultra. One must tweak the Eye Comfort Shield settings to improve it. Also there is more noticeable color shifting from top to bottom when tilting the phone.
-Yes, that under glass "bubble" defect in the lower right corner is there.
-The first one I tried had really cheap feeling mushy buttons. All display models were weak too. The one I got is fairly firm and clicky though.
-The camera is not that much better than the S22 Ultra and in a few cases is worse.
OVERALL:
This is a great phone, but even as someone who is tempted by the latest and greatest, I have to admit the upgrade from the S22 Ultra to S23 Ultra is minimal. It's a refinement but isn't groundbreaking. As many have said, annual upgrades are a waste. I'm debating whether it is worth keeping.
Send it back if you're underwhelmed.

Important especially for users in EU- are you have Exynos or Snapdragon version S22U?
Now I have s23U and my girlfriend S22U Exynos.
I Can confirm your "love list" too.
Flatter screen is more comfortable to writing, typing with spen.
Look S23U for me is better - more rectangular is my target .
Most important in EU is oficiall version with snapdragon (good snapdragon by TSMC).
I see better battery life than S22U, cell reception and few upgrades like above but overall are very similar devices, with great specifications
For the photo you need to use the gcam, which was previously impossible for the exynos version

I've decided to keep the S23 Ultra. In order of importance, the better battery life, better speakers, better haptics, flatter screen, and better camera zoom quality have made a tremendous difference for me. The battery level is about 25% higher at the end of the day compared to the S22 Ultra.
The screen has been the most questionable aspect of this phone. The first one received had the bubble defect very badly, visible in nearly any light, as well as excessive off-axis color shifting. The replacement is nearly perfect and the screen is no longer giving me a headache. To note, I've compared quite a few S23 Ultras and all of them have that lower right screen irregularity to a varying degree. Some are bent to the point of creating a visible bubble in any light, while others are slightly tucked along the bottom bezel and look fine unless you shine a light at a specific angle.
At first, it seemed like the S23 Ultra screen was much less vibrant than the S22 Ultra, but that was fixed by adjusting settings. Through testing, it appears that they're using a stronger anti glare layer which greatly improves visibility in sunlight, but can also cause increased color shifting in some conditions.
Yes, this is the first time I've had to get a replacement Samsung in a long time, but when you get a good one, it's very good. It definitely appears that quality control is a bit looser this year, but I still think this is by far the best phone in 2023. It will be interesting to see if Samsung continues the S line as is or merges high end with the foldables somehow.

Foldables are toys. Samsung would be committing suicide if they drop the S line. Most people aren't interested in carrying around a screen with a crease in it...
Glad that your replacement is treating you better though. I'm quite happy with my S23 Ultra. I have no major complaints which is pretty much a first. All of my past devices either overheated, had bad battery, had crappy speakers, had bad radio reception, or some combo of these... None of that here.
Getting correct white balance on S23U screen in vivid mode
Anyone who wants to adjust the white balance of vivid screen mode to 6500k - here are my settings, done with a laser spectrophotometer. Gamma is 2.207289 and delta E is 0.3 While every screen is a little different and ideally needs its own...

The off-axis color shift in gone in this new unit?
In my unit when tilt slightly at the bottom of the screen appears green tint(on white screen), but otherwise is perfect, the problem is durinng the normal use i see the shifting :/
I compared my phone with a unit in store, the store unit have the shifting but slightly better.
I'm undecided whether to change, but I fear that I will then receive a worse unit.
The new one has it but at least it's a gradual uniform shift and it appears to be the anti glare layer built into the screen. The first phone had it so badly that it shifted dramatically with the slightest of tilts and was giving me a headache. Yes, I've tested many as well and all have it, some worse than others. If the others you tested are about the same, I'd say it's probably within normal.
I had a USA S22U with 8gb ram 128gb of storage . I have a USA S23U with 12gb ram 512gb of storage. The S23U is faster, smoother and the battery life is much better, especially during idle and sleep. The speakers are better and the camera is better as well. Having said that if I didn't get the $800 trade in through carrier, I would have not upgraded from S22U to S23U. It seems like the S23U is just a 20-30% improved S22U. This is not a knock on the S23U since I do like the device but I could see why people could be underwhelmed.

First of all, not everyone upgrade device every generation.
Me as example, coming from an (amazing) Huawei p30, i se the big improvement.
Also, coming from an Exinos s22u would be a big upgrade too

this is why i mentioned USA S22U. I didn't mention any other phones for this reason. for anyone who upgrades every year, it would be underwhelming if coming from a snapdragon S22U.
