Translator for browser - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I am trying to find an addon to translate web pages during browsing.
When using chrome on the pc it asks if I want to translate the page. Is there a translate feature like that for the tab?
Thanks

I don't know of one for the stock browser as I don't use it, install Dolphin HD and there are a wealth of add-ons including a translate one. Plus its very easy to set so that you access full sites rather than the mobile ones.

it's fast, faster than any other browser ive used on Android, ive never had a FC with it either whereas i have with some other browsers.
I use stock browser, it is simple and fast. On wifi it download whole webpage with blink of eye.
I do use firefox sometime as it is linked with my laptop/desktop's bookmarks and history.
I tend to use FF because of syncing with my PC but I dig Opera too. Haven't tried any others.

Miren. I have for quite awhile and I feel that it provides a consistent experience
Mainly dolphin but opera works quite well too. I find the stock browser too bland and basic.

Stock browser
on wi-fi, i use the stock browser, as it is fast, looks great and gives the desktop browser experience, but in my area i can only get edge and for mobile use i prefer opera mini, which with mobile view, pre-rendered and compressed pages and no flash gives you faster access to information while on a slow mobile network or while walking.
I prefer opera. Nice and fast and doesn't have trouble with file hosting websites etc which I've experienced with others for some reason .
Been trying out Opera Mobile recently, and find that it drains battery quite aggressively
Prefer the stock browser though... It seems faster than Opera!
Opera mobile for the best auto text reflow
Stock, no need to add more bloatware.
Dolphin Browser HD is good, swift and stable

Q: re: Stock Browser

Hi
I was once able to get the stock browser to act as a normal desktop browser, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how I did it. Browser now constantly configured pages for mobile viewing.
Can someone please help me figure out how to make the stock browser format pages as a desktop browser?
Thank you!

Browser-saved pages for offline reading

Are those saved as images? Because when I try to use the 'search on page' function of the browser it does not find any letter. (Yeah I think it's obvious)
If so, any browser that lets you save it kinda like an offline html so the search function will work?

With opera browser mobile you can search in saved offline page

Q: Open URL in native app

Dear,
I've been searching all over, but I couldn't find the answer. I hope some of you can help...
I'm using Android 2.3.7 and mainly Dolphin Browser (other browsers have the same issue) and I'm unable to open URL links with the native app... I would like to open the youtube / play store /... app, just clicking the URL from the browser.
Thanks in advance!

I Just Want a Browser Which Does The Basics Well

For me, a Browser needs to support Flash, have a good speed dialer(which can be set as the home page), a good bookmarks manager, a good password manager and if it is fast as well then I'm happy.
Other than the Boat browser, I'm finding it quite difficult to find many browsers which meet these basic requirements.
The well known browsers like Chrome, Dolphin, Opera etc. have all abandoned Flash or don't have built-in password managers or lack good speed dialers which can be set as the home page.
The only other browser that I've found which almost meets my criteria is the Maxthon browser, but that does not have a password manager.
I use Keepass as a backup in case my Boat passwords get lost and that can be used to copy and paste login details to browsers. But for some reason it does not work with the Maxthon browser.
Are there any other browsers besides Boat which does the basics well?
I use the AOSP browser, and floating browser occassionally, but AOSP browser for all other things.
Have you tried Naked Browser or Lighting Browser

My 2 cents, Get the ocean browser , Amazingly smooth ,
Even maxthon does the job well , but ocean is amazing with its pie interface
Is there any chance on enabling the desktop version the time.

Thanks for your suggestions. But I really need a browser that includes a password manager because I have a lot of passwords and the Boat browser seems to be the only browser which includes a good free password manager.
Like you wrote -> Boat Browser!
Found it yesterday and its just awesome. Small (3MB), Java support, awesome smooth flash support, memory friendly, highly customizeable!
Pure awesome!
Is there a way to permanently select Desktop View on Chrome ?

Yes, get the app chrome UA changer. There you can set it once permanently to desktop and uninstall it
+1 Boat browser. You need to enable Flash support in settings after you install it.

Have you tried Ocean browser? Very smooth on the Nexus 10. Not sure if the password management is as robust as you need but give it a try. Mine works with flash player 11.1.115.27.
