For me, a Browser needs to support Flash, have a good speed dialer(which can be set as the home page), a good bookmarks manager, a good password manager and if it is fast as well then I'm happy.
Other than the Boat browser, I'm finding it quite difficult to find many browsers which meet these basic requirements.
The well known browsers like Chrome, Dolphin, Opera etc. have all abandoned Flash or don't have built-in password managers or lack good speed dialers which can be set as the home page.
The only other browser that I've found which almost meets my criteria is the Maxthon browser, but that does not have a password manager.
I use Keepass as a backup in case my Boat passwords get lost and that can be used to copy and paste login details to browsers. But for some reason it does not work with the Maxthon browser.
Are there any other browsers besides Boat which does the basics well?
I use the AOSP browser, and floating browser occassionally, but AOSP browser for all other things.
Have you tried Naked Browser or Lighting Browser

My 2 cents, Get the ocean browser , Amazingly smooth ,
Even maxthon does the job well , but ocean is amazing with its pie interface
Is there any chance on enabling the desktop version the time.

Thanks for your suggestions. But I really need a browser that includes a password manager because I have a lot of passwords and the Boat browser seems to be the only browser which includes a good free password manager.
Like you wrote -> Boat Browser!
Found it yesterday and its just awesome. Small (3MB), Java support, awesome smooth flash support, memory friendly, highly customizeable!
Pure awesome!
Is there a way to permanently select Desktop View on Chrome ?

Yes, get the app chrome UA changer. There you can set it once permanently to desktop and uninstall it
+1 Boat browser. You need to enable Flash support in settings after you install it.

Have you tried Ocean browser? Very smooth on the Nexus 10. Not sure if the password management is as robust as you need but give it a try. Mine works with flash player 11.1.115.27.

I have it on my TouchPad and it adds tabs, a quick-dial-like home screen and a couple other features. It is a bit buggy, however.

Yes but Dolphin Browser run on Android, not on WebOS
advanced browser just uses the built in browser. all it does it add extra things, but it is not a completely different browser compared to the stock webOs browser
I really dislike the default browser that comes with the s3.
Previous phones I have ran aosp browser and the miui browser. Both were much better imo.
Just curious as to what browser you guys are using and why.
Thanks guys.

Dolphin HD
Give it a try, and you'll see why.
Dolphin HD is fantastic. Chrome in my opinion is ever so slightly more fantastic. I have both installed but Chrome is my default.
Chrome
I'm still using the stock browser for now. I will be however looking into other ones in a few days!
Chrome.
Tab sync FTW. (just wish I could also close tabs on my other devices too).
Just yesterday I was "snooping" on my wife using Chrome on my PC while browsing reddit, and I was checking out the tabs she was opening... 2xychromosome?!
I have tried dolphin browser and I am not too crazy about it. Never tried chrome for android, might give that a go.

I used to be a big fan of Skyfire but they haven't updated their support for ICS yet. They seemed to also be a bit on the slow side but I stuck with them from their Windows Mobile days (HD2). Now though I use the stock browser and it allows for a desktop mode. Its quick and I have none of the downloading display issues I was having with Skyfire.
UC Browser.
Stock browser. It seems to do everything I need a browser to do on my phone
Firefox beta

Chrome. I just wish i could get the widget to load thumbnails for the previews.
Browser plus
t-mobile sgs3 stock rom/rooted
Chrome .. teh best.
Chrome because I tie it up with my PC
I use chrome as my default and dolphin hd whenever I need to load a page in desktop mode that doesn't work with chrome.
Dolphin HD is what i have refereed on all other devices. Anyone have any reason this phone would be better with a diff browser than I'm used to? Thanks

Chrome if you use the google features. If you don't use Chrome on a PC or doesn't know what it offers, then Chrome isn't really useful for you.
Opera
I am currently using the stock and the Opera mobile, looks like the former got too many bugs least of which is that can't locate my device for attachments and also doesn't show certain links.
On the other hand the Opera seems stopped supporting Adobe Flash player so no plug ins.
Any browser out there that can do all of this without problem?, thanks.

I find Boat to be the most functional, lightest, and quickest.
Before I just use Dolphin HD but now after all the Mobile and desktop bookmarks are sync I just go all the way Google Chrome
Using Maxthon browser for almost 8 months now, won't ever change it, it is the best browser for me, try it.
Maxthon,ok will give it a try, still couldnt find the perfect one..hope this one is better.
I tried Chrome, but for some reason it feels really laggy on the Note. It worked fine on SGS2 and GNex. So I'm just using stock, I hate the tab management but at least it works fine. Anyone have any browser with desktop/tablet style tabs?

I personally like Chrome the best http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...loGIAw&usg=AFQjCNH15rvlo-p7MbD_On-MZgKF4dtXPg but overall I would say it's personal preference all the browsers have unique features, some are faster in benchmarks, some are slower in benchmarks but feel snappier try them out and see which one you like best. Another combination people like is Dolphin Browser http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...3IG4Ag&usg=AFQjCNGhebe32bfMAXehR3GT4w_eSP9ptQ plus the Jetpack addon http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...3IG4Ag&usg=AFQjCNE3xH4OmkgcDclyW75HGWSmqOWuEQ.

There are many variables involved in what the speed of a Browser is going to be on any given device, Not least of which is the Data Connection. Which plays a large part. That being said the same Browser, on the two of the same Devices, with two different Data Connections, will act differently.
Cant say which is the fastest...but personally prefer Dolphin Browser (and chrome for the sync features)
opera mini is very speedy however because of the fact the pages are loaded on a server it isnt very optimal for downloading and pages with javascript or flash player
Sent from my U8160 using xda premium
Dolphin, Chrome, Opera
I had never installed Dolphin, I tried it recently & i think is fast. Chrome is still heavy on resources for my Galaxy Grand where as Opera saves on bandwidth.

Next requires intrusive privileges, and is created by "GO Dev Team" who have a poor privacy track record. It is the latest in a long line of garbage Android browsers: Dolphin, Boat, One, and most other Android browsers are all crapware.
Spying is not only an invasion of privacy, it wastes battery power, bandwidth, and CPU.
Opera Mini. Chrome can be pretty fast with the right tweaks as well.

I used Boat a lot because HTML5 videos would run very well. Now I found Baidu Browser and it's the fastest I've ever used. Despite having just 512 RAM, it doesn't even reload images on complex web pages when you scroll and loads completely other pages when opened in background.
chrome is the best

For quick browsing on the go, you might want to check out the new browser "Lynx Browser(Free)" at
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weejim.app.lynx
It does not load images by default and in addition, you can also turn off javascript for added speed boost.

Personal ive tried and tested most browser benchmark... I was stuck with dolphin browser but after i download puffin browser... Darn its jus tooooooooo fast.... I recommend it... Give it a try ull be surprised... Its way fast on my tablet p6200
Hello,
I just found a very unique and good Browser in my opinion which I wanted to share with you:
Its called UC browser Hd for tablets. The standard UC browser for Android is also good but the tablet version rocks on the Note 2.
I installed it on my Tablet and then transfered the apk file to my note 2, because playstore wont let you install the HD tablet version.
At first I thought: Too different takes too long to get used to. But after using for a short time I love it. And Flash is handled better than at Dolphin, Stock, Chrome, Firefox, in my opinion.
So, if your looking for a browser give it a try.
Greetings Richard

I agree browser is good but unfortunately I had to move to different one because in some cases I could not login to websites. Basically it didn't recognise my username and password which is odd. At the moment I use boat browser which is great as well. I also changed dpi to 260 for better visual experience. Btw. Dolphin browser drains the hell out of my battery.
