Is there an alternative Browser for WebOS? Because the default one is very bad...
I've not found one on the market...

I have it on my TouchPad and it adds tabs, a quick-dial-like home screen and a couple other features. It is a bit buggy, however.

I use dolphin browser. I do get force close on some flash intensive sites that I run in desktop mode but overall it works great! Love the gestures! Most flash videos work great!

Yes but Dolphin Browser run on Android, not on WebOS
advanced browser just uses the built in browser. all it does it add extra things, but it is not a completely different browser compared to the stock webOs browser

What browser do you guys suggest for ice cream roms? Every one i try seems laggy with gui issues. Is this related to 4.0 or what? Never had these issues with GB. I tried chrome but i see no fullscreen option.

I always use Chrome, but you might want to try Boat Browser or ICS Browser+
Chrome loads webpages really fast but no flash. If you are loading flash websites use stock or opera mobile.
Chrome for nearly everything and stock ICS browser for Flash sites.
Chrome or Opera.
Still finding Dolphin HD to be the best for me.
Chrome always runs in the background wiping battery.
dolphin is my fav
Opera mobile

The ICS+ browser is my favorite now. The quick thumb controls are the thing that do it for me. I use my phone for work, and the way it switches tabs is the best, as I have 3-4 open all the time.
Chrome is nice except for the lack of flash support and the paginated scrolling. Flash is junk anyways .
I love Chrome. I haven't used a standard browser in I don't know how long. I use Dolphin HD on my tablet, and forget about browsing the web on my work phone(the Xprt), Sprint sucks.
Dolphin gets it done for me. I hate the fact that chrome won't load flash. It's so damn fast.

Just tested out ICS Browser+ and I'm hooked.
Boat transitions were slow. Im using dolhpin mini and its good so far.

+ 1 for Boat browser
depending on use I switch between boat, dolphin and opera
Dolphin HD, is the best browser I've used. It's better than Opera. There are websites I've found that opera doesn't loss that dolphin does. And It's fast. Been using it for years for the most part. I've tested a lot of different ones and dolphin always wins
Wich one is better and faster?
How about you install the Chrome browser, do a comparison and let us all know :silly:
I already did that. But I don´t know how to measure this. I want to decide which one will be the main browser.
I installed Dolphin HD browser yesterday and from my short time with it Ive decided its heaps better than the stock browser. Faster scrolling and page rendering and better access to bookmarks (swipe in from the side)
Maybe try that as well?

Dolphin HD
I use Dolphin HD and many do that. I think it is the best browser for ICS 2012 now a days.
I tested Chrome Beta vs Stock. Stock renders faster. Chrome crashed quite a bit too.
Chrome doesn't support FLASH so sad but it's faster (for me). Anyone tried Dolphin on flash videos or .swf?
Chrome was considerably slower at scrolling and loading, I went back to stock.

Chrome has a lots of potential but for me it stutters like hell. What do you guys think of the ICS+ browser? For me it's smooth as butter on the S3, so fast and flash loads in a fraction of a second. Only thing is when you double tap to zoom in an area it zooms somewhere else on the page but other than that it's flawless.

Chrome is a better desktop browser (in terms of speed if not plugin support), but the stock ICS browser destroys Chrome mobile right now. I haven't tried the other browsers because I have had no need to. I may have to try out Dolphin HD to compare to stock ICS browser though...
I use opera for fast browsing and stock for flash video etc

got the message to get the update to release of Chrome, now all I get is a "package file is invalid" message when I try to download it. The beta has gone and I have nothing! Any suggestions what to do? Is there an apk file I can download and install on my SG3?
im a fan of google chrome so ide go for google chrome, its faster but theres not flash on it yet
the new firefox seems to work well
Does dolphin browser support flash? anyone tried it yet?
Have to bump this thread - thoughts on this topic now? Stock seems more fluid, still!
I really dislike the default browser that comes with the s3.
Previous phones I have ran aosp browser and the miui browser. Both were much better imo.
Just curious as to what browser you guys are using and why.
Thanks guys.

Dolphin HD
Give it a try, and you'll see why.
Dolphin HD is fantastic. Chrome in my opinion is ever so slightly more fantastic. I have both installed but Chrome is my default.
Chrome
I'm still using the stock browser for now. I will be however looking into other ones in a few days!
Chrome.
Tab sync FTW. (just wish I could also close tabs on my other devices too).
Just yesterday I was "snooping" on my wife using Chrome on my PC while browsing reddit, and I was checking out the tabs she was opening... 2xychromosome?!
I have tried dolphin browser and I am not too crazy about it. Never tried chrome for android, might give that a go.

I used to be a big fan of Skyfire but they haven't updated their support for ICS yet. They seemed to also be a bit on the slow side but I stuck with them from their Windows Mobile days (HD2). Now though I use the stock browser and it allows for a desktop mode. Its quick and I have none of the downloading display issues I was having with Skyfire.
UC Browser.
Stock browser. It seems to do everything I need a browser to do on my phone

Chrome. I just wish i could get the widget to load thumbnails for the previews.
Browser plus
t-mobile sgs3 stock rom/rooted
Chrome .. teh best.
Chrome because I tie it up with my PC
I use chrome as my default and dolphin hd whenever I need to load a page in desktop mode that doesn't work with chrome.
Dolphin HD is what i have refereed on all other devices. Anyone have any reason this phone would be better with a diff browser than I'm used to? Thanks

Chrome if you use the google features. If you don't use Chrome on a PC or doesn't know what it offers, then Chrome isn't really useful for you.
Opera
I am currently using the stock and the Opera mobile, looks like the former got too many bugs least of which is that can't locate my device for attachments and also doesn't show certain links.
On the other hand the Opera seems stopped supporting Adobe Flash player so no plug ins.
Any browser out there that can do all of this without problem?, thanks.

I find Boat to be the most functional, lightest, and quickest.
Before I just use Dolphin HD but now after all the Mobile and desktop bookmarks are sync I just go all the way Google Chrome
Using Maxthon browser for almost 8 months now, won't ever change it, it is the best browser for me, try it.
Maxthon,ok will give it a try, still couldnt find the perfect one..hope this one is better.
I tried Chrome, but for some reason it feels really laggy on the Note. It worked fine on SGS2 and GNex. So I'm just using stock, I hate the tab management but at least it works fine. Anyone have any browser with desktop/tablet style tabs?

Opera Mobile renders pages very nicely but has bad Flash performance.

Text reflow is not needed if you do a proper configuration in the stock browser's Settings ~ Accessibility.
Boat browser dolphin browser or opera mini for data save n fast browsing

For me, a Browser needs to support Flash, have a good speed dialer(which can be set as the home page), a good bookmarks manager, a good password manager and if it is fast as well then I'm happy.
Other than the Boat browser, I'm finding it quite difficult to find many browsers which meet these basic requirements.
The well known browsers like Chrome, Dolphin, Opera etc. have all abandoned Flash or don't have built-in password managers or lack good speed dialers which can be set as the home page.
The only other browser that I've found which almost meets my criteria is the Maxthon browser, but that does not have a password manager.
I use Keepass as a backup in case my Boat passwords get lost and that can be used to copy and paste login details to browsers. But for some reason it does not work with the Maxthon browser.
Are there any other browsers besides Boat which does the basics well?
I use the AOSP browser, and floating browser occassionally, but AOSP browser for all other things.
Have you tried Naked Browser or Lighting Browser

My 2 cents, Get the ocean browser , Amazingly smooth ,

Thanks for your suggestions. But I really need a browser that includes a password manager because I have a lot of passwords and the Boat browser seems to be the only browser which includes a good free password manager.
Like you wrote -> Boat Browser!
Found it yesterday and its just awesome. Small (3MB), Java support, awesome smooth flash support, memory friendly, highly customizeable!
Pure awesome!

Yes, get the app chrome UA changer. There you can set it once permanently to desktop and uninstall it

Have you tried Ocean browser? Very smooth on the Nexus 10. Not sure if the password management is as robust as you need but give it a try. Mine works with flash player 11.1.115.27.
