First, did you make a nandroid backup of your stock rom before you flashed the senseless rom?
I'm doing this on a friends phone and he didn't

Uh, we need alot more detail to understand what you are trying to do.
I need to install a stock rooted rom coming from Scott's senseless ics rom. I think I may have been following directions for going from a gingerbread rom back to stock. I flashed a stock rooted rom I got of one of the threads on the Dev board. Then flashed the phxxxx.zip that was left on the SD card after the rom flash. Im still pretty new at this. I thought that was the boot image. Now the phone goes to the white HTC screen then shuts off.

I'm looking for some info for this as well. Same scenario but my buddy was able to finally get the ics ROM to boot. now I need to get him back to stock GB rooted because he can't deal with the ics bugs in the ROM. Thanks in advance!

You need to extract the zip file to find the boot image. Then I use Scotts CleanFlash to flash the boot image.

What ICS ROM was he using. I am using Scotts CleanROM 2.2 ICS and it is very stable and solid.
Is there a Mac version of clean flash?

Sorry, not that I am aware of. Can you boot into recovery? If you can, maybe you can pull the SD card and put it into a computer, copy Scotts CleanROM 2.2 ICS on it. Put the SD card back into the phone, Boot into recovery and flash the CleanROM. After the CleanROM is flashed the screen will go back to hboot and you press the power button and it will automatically flash the boot image. This might get you back in the game, at least.
Yes

You may try RUU at below link ( ICS RUU 3.14.605.10 )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703539
Download it from android police download link on post 4
Use the stock out of the box rom that you unlocked bootloader and flashed su on. You should have backed it up

doesn't need to be updated, just remember to flash an old firmware patch before you boot.
GB ruu it. While they may not notice if it has ics or gb, you're better off being safe than sorry.

You don't 'need' to do anything. However, if it is just out of the box I would recommend this : http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?13780-STEPS-TO-ICS-FIRMWARE-UNLOCK-ROOT-and-S-OFF
The tutorial takes through update of the firmware to unlocking/root to s-off and then whatever you desire after. :good:
At the minimum, I would update the firmware by running the RUU, and then unlocking. Don't unlock first because you'll just have to relock to run the RUU!
As a previous poster commented, you don't have to update the firmware, but I bet you will eventually so get er done now.
There are other tutorials/"all in ones" out there so look and read around.

FWIW, just activated a warranty replacement yesterday. My specific steps were:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash Amon Ra and do nandroid.
3. Flash 3.14.605.10 firmware & ICS leak from bootloader as PH98IMH.ZIP.
4. Run Juopunut's S-OFF
5. Reflash Amon Ra
6. Flash my ROM (see sig).
I also flash Titanium as a zip, and use App2zip. Not everything works when I do things that way, but it takes me most of the way home.
Sent into the innertubes from my Arnova 10 G2.
Is there a Stock 2.605.19 Rom out there? I used titanium backup, and now my BT Headset is connecting to my phone, but the calls are not routing to the phone. I have tried another rom, but that did no good. I have seen in another forum that this is what the person that had the same problem I am currently having. I have not seen any 605.19 roms out there and want to get back to that particular rom.
I do not want to use a custom rom, I may just unroot afterwards. I am not far off from looking at an update.
Can someone hook me up.
straight 2.605.19 71ORD rom. I will remain rooted, but want the ability to unroot without having to find a stock rom/radio
Thank You in Advance

Thanks for the quick reply...I'm guessing I will have to go into recovery and triple wipe then reboot to bootloader before flashing.
I have been going through Google looking for this ROM...with no success...thanks for posting it.
Ruu aren't flashed in recovery. Rename it to PG05IMG and put it on the root of your SD. Then reboot into the boot loader and flash it in fast boot. Make sure you have a good charge on your phone first.

I understand that (still waiting for the download to finish...taking quite a while)...what I was asking was, should I go into recovery and do a full wipe 3x then boot into bootloader and install making sure it's a clean install?
Installing an ruu is the equivalent of doing a factory reset so it isn't necessary.

If you just want a stock 2.11.605.19 rom and wanna stay rooted, you could always flash a stock rooted, deodexed version of the rom.
Then you don't have to reroot.
Just a suggestion, HERE's a LINK.

Is there a md5 I can check for this download? Or can you direct me to the thread?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it. The md5 checksum is 632666777aaf5c2a52f0559083f78918. The original thread can be found here. Thanks for posting this.
Here's the new OTA Stock ROM 2.06.605.1_710RD , rooted. Not deodexed, no radio, no firmware but stock ROM.. Anybody can use as base, just credit.
Must be unlocked, s-off with custom recovery. If s-on, boot.img must be pulled from Rom, and flashed in fastboot.
Flash from recovery. If having flashing issues, use CWM Recovery.

Thanks HAHA. I know its a rom just was not sure if the same would happen like the 204 update. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks! Was trying to apply the OTA manually and I was having file mismatches even though I used the "stock" 2.04 ROM. Hopefully this one is closer to actual "stock" if we get another OTA at some point.
---------- Post added at 06:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 PM ----------
File wouldn't transfer to my DNA until I named it something other than .zip, and WinRAR is saying the archive is corrupt even though it opens and I can view its contents. Anyone else have this problem? Almost afraid to try to flash this.

Also, I verified the checksum and my download matches what was uploaded.
One more thing.. a repair with WinRAR only recovered 1863 out of the 2085 files. Something is definitely not right.

yeah that was what I tried first, and it told me i wasnt rooted, I had successfully booted to recovery earlier.
something flaky must have happened. I am S-off so I am hoping maybe flash recovery again and then SU and hopefully back to rooted.
Edit ** Adb reboot recovery and i flashed su again now quickboot, root explorer, etc seem ok.
Weird
This ROM uses Superuser. If you use SuperSU like me, it could have caused a conflict. I removed it before flashing, but you can use RootExplorer to remove it, too, as long as your root is currently working.
This can be flashed over previous ota rooted correct? Gosh I hope this stops the constant Verizon update message.

So I recently rooted my phone and I tried to install the CM 10.1 mod. I did everything correctly except I didn't backup my original rom. So now the custom rom won't boot up because it gets stuck at the HTC startup screen and stays there. I went back into the twrp and tried to re-install the custom rom and again it didn't work. Now I went back and all my files are gone including the custom rom! So basically I think that the phone is booting because there is nothing on there. I tried to change the recovery image back to the original htc rom according to htcevohacks.com and i tried doing a factory reset but it didn't work. is it possible to fix this if so how? Thanks.

If you can get into twrp you can mount usb storage and put the Rom zip back on and the reason it won't boot is because you are s-on you need to fastboot flash the boot.img first

ok so as you guys said I can put the rom back on and install it and I have tried it. I got the initial set up of the new rom but the touchscreen doesn't work. I tried 2 other roms too and the touchscreen doesn't work on all of them. Do i just have to keep trying out roms? If you guys could post any roms that you have tried before that'd be great. I just want my phone to run something right now.
Try running a ROM based on the 3.16 OTA such as ViperROM or MeanBean. What version of TWRP are you on?
Also note if you use either of the ROM's listed above, they have S-on kernel installers. Just follow the installation instructions.

Give it a shot. The 3.16 OTA included a touch panel driver update. If you have the updated driver you can only run 3.16 base ROM's and also must use TWRP 2.4+, otherwise, your touch panel won't work. If you gain S-off you can downgrade the driver and run whatever ROM you want.
Once S-off you don't have to fool with flashing the kernel separately, either
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
So according to the MeanBean developer the kernel installer is built in, so all i have to do is flash the .zip file and it will take care of everything correct?
