For normal use i have governor set to 'on demand', max=729 Min=122..
In setcpu u could add a profile (see the profiles label), for example the 'Screen off' profile can be used to underclock the cpu when the screen is off, or u can add many other profiles, according to the way u use ur phone..

Hi guys.
I'm gonna try to explain this as good as I can.
I have bought SetCPU on android market after I rooted.
I have heard that it is possible to underclock and overclock, but I can only underclock! Why can't I overclock?
Help? Thank you.

Not too familiar with our, but I am pretty certain overclock needs custom kernel.
Out of luck with the x10 atm.

So its not possible to overclock X10i?

I flashed and rooted with 024 from the dev forum and I can used SetCPU just fine. You have Superuser Permission installed yeah? You need that so that it can give SetCPU root access. Another thing, if the CPU clock sliders are stuck pressing "Automatically Detect CPU" (or whatever its called) will reset the settings, I have it on "powersave" and have both sliders set to "998400"
It works for cpu throttling but not for overclocking.

Oh yeah... not sure if you know or knew but setcpu is free on xda

I believe you have to have FULL root before you "overclock" the cpu. I had setcpu installed for a couple of months when i was rooted on 024 FW and honestly did not notice any difference what so ever.

Max 1200, min 200 ...... DO NOT USE PROFILES, our phone can not handle them for some reason, regardless of ROM/kernel....also i would advise NOT checking "set on boot" as the majority of users have been experiencing problems where your settings will reset to dangerously low clocks....even if you uncheck it your settings will be preserved upon reboots
Do you use ondemand or something else.

Do i have to check enable in profiles? I set teo profiles. One is battery 30% max 800 min 100. Second is screen off max 400 min 100. I never checked enable before but one i did and locked my phone it went into sleep mode where it wouldn't wake up.

no profiles are needed just set the clock speed and set it to conservative
Is your phone still dead? Can you very into download mode?

STOP! Profiles really aren't necessary as your phone automatically does things like lower cpu speed when screen is asleep... Only make a profile for really low battery or really high temp. AND DONT SET anything low like 200 mhz or 300 mhz, around this area some phones CAN NOT wake up...
When I put a screen off profile on it constantly pops up set CPU has been giving super user permissions is there a fix for this? Thank you in advance

dont quote me on this but i think its because of the kernel or maybe with the app it self that its not yet well develop for our evo 3d since its only getting started. but im not one sooo yea thats wat i think. o n i had the same problem. try turning off the notifications for superuser hope it helps
Go into superuser and uncheck notifications. Done! I had same prob

I'm wondering if SetCPU Works with glitch 13.1? I heard it reboots but in the thread it says that's a available overclocking app.

So it works without stability issues?

I've never had a problem with it in the past. And just so you know, if you go to ICS and build 14 you will use nstools if you want to access all features.

set cpu does not allow you to change I/O scheduler...stick with voltage control for MTD GB or nstools for ICS roms.
