Does SetCPU work will GLITCH v13.1? - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm wondering if SetCPU Works with glitch 13.1? I heard it reboots but in the thread it says that's a available overclocking app.

So it works without stability issues?

I've never had a problem with it in the past. And just so you know, if you go to ICS and build 14 you will use nstools if you want to access all features.

set cpu does not allow you to change I/O scheduler...stick with voltage control for MTD GB or nstools for ICS roms.

Good speeds to set the Vibrant at using SETCPU APP

Would like to know this too....every time I have adjusted the settings it would cause my phone to not wake up....
For now since I have it installed with auto-detect settings with no profiles added and it is fine. Used it to verify the 1.2g JAC kernel I installed.
Its not setup for the vibrant yet. The only way to successfully use it is with the auto setting and not using profiles.

Profiles work completely fine for me. Running 2.0.3 with all of them set to conservative. Never had a problem with SetCPU
Thanks for responding & info.

(Q) set CPU settings

What do you guys use for your settings to get best battery life.

Max 1200, min 200 ...... DO NOT USE PROFILES, our phone can not handle them for some reason, regardless of ROM/kernel....also i would advise NOT checking "set on boot" as the majority of users have been experiencing problems where your settings will reset to dangerously low clocks....even if you uncheck it your settings will be preserved upon reboots
Do you use ondemand or something else.

Anyone else having low Quadrant scores?

I noticed my scores are getting lower and lower. I just went from Bionix 1.3.1 to Darky v9.4. my quadrant score still is below 1036. im wondering if anyone else has this issue. i have voodoo enabled and everything.
I would double check to make sure its enabled. Cause right around 1000 is what you should get when its NOT enabled.

on my g1, it effected my score with how many apps i had installed. should this effect the vibrant being that the hardware is superior. i have nearly 107 apps installed. (not all are user apps).
It shouldn't make a difference. Try flashing another kernel with voodoo and see if you get the same results.

I got 1692 with Bionix and the Overstock Kernel. (No OC Set) and Voodoo enabled.
Something is definitely wrong.
odin bacm to stock. you might need to start fresh.

There's a lot that effects quad scores. How many apps, voodoo, rom etc. And if you feel that the rom is snappy you shouldn't need an app to tell you it is.

Lookout battery drain?

I use lookout.
I only get 1hour of battery. Then it dies. Could lookout be the cause?
Extra info.
Only overclocked to 1.2ghz -75 mV every freq. Screenstate consertive ondemand wake. Logcat enabled. Glitch v13.

No. Does that mean it doesnt?

If your android system usage is high, it may still be the culprit. Try uninstalling lookout and see for yourself.

My battery is very good right now. And has been for the last hour or two.
But I like having the security, so I'm lost. Don't know what to use

i dont find it necessary to have a antivirus on an android. as long as your careful about what you download then you should be fine. you could also just get a firewall to use on certain apps or if you have MIUI there is one built in

+1
Read all the review from Market for the apps u want to run. If still paranoid, search on xda first before downloading. No need for Lookout..
I use lookout, I have no issues with battery. I keep data off unless I need it.

Wake up phone!!

Why does my phone take so long to wake up I'm using venom Rom with zarbos kernel?

Low screen off clock speed I'm guessing.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
I'm gonna have to agree with the low screen off clock speeds. Just reflash the kernel and up them. It should fix it.

Just tried that still didn't work and the choices I make don't stick. I choose stock speed no overclock but when i check in kernel tuner clockspeed is at max 1.8 and still takes forever to wake up. I am s-off and using clockwordmod

Uninstall kernel tuner and reinstall the kernel. Kernel tuner is known to mess stuff up.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Remove any cpu tuner because this kernel does not need it. Other ones do but not this one. Then reflash the kernel.

He's saying to uninstall it completely. Don't put it back on at all.
FWIW, I'm on Venom 1.2 and after trying a bunch of different set ups, what seems to work best for me is to simply uninstall all kernel managers and then install the kernel and run it "stock".
This has given me awesome battery life, no lag, and no boot issues.
