Hi. I need help!!!
I got my ace just a few weeks ago, and i wanted to download an incompatible app. So I rooted my phone and changed the build.prop. I made a backup, but it turns out the backup didnt work, because when I edit the build.prop, my backup edit itself to the same thing as I edited my build.prop to!! And after I downloaded the app I wanted, I started getting a really annoying message(blablablala android.acore has stopped unexpectedly or something like that), so I deleted the app and restarted my phone. I started getting the same message all the time, and I have restarted my ace so many times!!! So I think the build.prop thing is the problem, but my original build.prop is gone.
What can I do? Is it possible that I can get somepne elses build.prop text sent to me? Please help me, Im desperate!!!!!
And sorry for the bad english...

Ok, was using my odex uvjl4 froyo with oclf and was working great then. My 3g service totaly stopped working. Even the icon was gone.tried rebooting.messing with settings nothing worked. So I decided to try a hard reset.very bad move on my part. Boots up fine and the 3g issue is now fixed but now the android market place is totaly gone from my vibrant. Tried redownloading it and installing it.but depending on which version I try to install.it fails to install or after getting it to install. It force closing right away, when I click on the market. Fck
trying to fix this issue by installing Rom Manager but cant get that downloaded since the market is gone. Omg im lost. How can I fix this issue? I about to loose my mind. Would like to go back to stock or get this rom working right again.Im scared to try odin because my last vibrant got totaly bricked when trying to go back to 2.1 stock. Anyone please help me asap! Thank you!
update fixed!
I'm assuming you have some form of a backup of your apps and other data, no? If not, use Titanium backup to make one, then simply reflash your ROM, that should fix everything.
And if you want to ODIN, which is suggested as it can wipe any unused or "ghost" files from past ROM installations, follow this link:
http://androidspin.com/2010/08/09/how-to-restore-or-recover-your-samsung-vibrant/
this is my savior multiple times over, DO NOT CHECK REPARTITION IN ODIN.
Also, it may be you have a bad download of your ROM.zip, just re-download that, too.
Hello to everyone, I hope someone can help me... I dont know what else to do.
I have SGS2 with
Android 2.3.4
Base Band I9100XXKI1
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI4
Gingerbread.XWKI4
I rooted the phone one week ago, any problem during the process.. Root was fine, I could intall Titanium Backup, Superuser, adfree... etc... NO PROBLEM WITH ROOT
The 2 days ago, screen gone OFF suddenly, then back ON, with full of FC's, and a message with something like "inconsistent Data, full wipe needed"...
Finally phone came normal mode.. I didnt try any wipe because it was working normal... but then I saw that any installation or uninstallation, was back when the phone was rebooted, any change in whatsapp, was gone in the same way...
During the phone is ON, it works fine, but at the moment I reboot, any change has gone.
I tried to do a FULL WIPE, and when I reboot in Recovery Mode (original one, the CWM I didn't Installed) I got this message
Unable to Access /system/csc/FOP/system
I try a wipe, and the phone says WIPE DONE, but when I restart the phone, anything is done... all my programs are there, any change made.
I tried to reinstall CSC "CSC_I9100FOPKG5_HTCMANIA.tar.md5" with Odin, and for Odin everything is perfect, no errors, but it continues all the same.
And *#272#IMEI# But no FOP's listed and I got the message "Must Be THREE Chars"
It's like the "memory phone" is R/O and no change are possible....
It's not saving even call list... ANYTHING
If I delete a file, from the "internal_SD", when I reboot is still there...
I don't know what else to do...
I'll appreciate any kind of help...
Thanks again
Flashing the csc alone won't much. You should reflash the entire ROM.

Guys, please help. I've messed up my phone (Samsung Galaxy Y, GT-S5360) after installing the Kernel update, the merruk clockwork mod recovery, the ext4-converter without backing up my stock kernel. I just read that I need to backup my rom but I've already done the instructions. How can I retrieve my stock rom and have my phone working again because right now it isn't working. It opens but it keeps on freezing everytime I opened it, I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

First of all, where does the phone freeze? After android loads, or during the boot process?
Hey guys, hope I'm posting in the correct section! (I have a verizon gs4)
I've wanted to root my gs4 for awhile now and have done quite a bit of research on this but am still confused on some things.
Is there anyway to backup my current ROM along with all my current settings before I root my phone? My pictures, contacts and apps are taken care of but as far as everything else goes, I'd like to be able to somehow revert back to how my phone is now if anything went wrong. I've downloaded ROM Manager and am trying to backup using CWM but keep getting error messages, such as "an error occured while attempting to run privileged commands" or "an error occurred while flashing your recovery", which makes me think it wants my phone to be rooted first in order to work.
If I were to root my phone, would I be able to use CWM and basically copy my UI as it is now? If I were to want to revert back to my current settings, could I then load my recovery from CWM, then unroot my phone somehow?
I apologize for sounding like a complete noob but greatly appreciate any help! I'm very eager to get this going but just want to make sure I know how to get back to where I started.
Can a Mod please delete this thread? I was drunk last night and posted this.
My phone is now rooted and backed up.
Many Thanks.
Hello all.
I know this has been asked a gazillion of times, but the solutions I can find, are not working for me.
I rooted my phones yesterday, for the first time and all went great. I got reverse tether to work etc etc.
I installed a few apps, and they all worked.
Then i installed Xposed framework, and it got me into a bootloop.
I tried flashing the recovery_original_flashable.img from another thread and this went perfect, but it still is in the bootloop. I can get into recovery, but it does nothing. It just lets me wipe cache and or do a factory reset and those both have no effect whatsoever.
I know I might be doing something wrong, can anyone help me?
And sorry if I am just forgetting one step in all of this.
Thanks in advance
