Guys, please help. I've messed up my phone (Samsung Galaxy Y, GT-S5360) after installing the Kernel update, the merruk clockwork mod recovery, the ext4-converter without backing up my stock kernel. I just read that I need to backup my rom but I've already done the instructions. How can I retrieve my stock rom and have my phone working again because right now it isn't working. It opens but it keeps on freezing everytime I opened it, I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

First of all, where does the phone freeze? After android loads, or during the boot process?

Hello,
I have tried installing cyanogenmod. This worked, but I wasn't happy with it and tried to go back to darky's rom, by wiping to factory defaults, then wiping all data; and afterwards update to darky's rom.
But somehow, my phone isn't starting anymore. I also cannot go into Recovery mode. The only thing that is starting is Downloading mode. How can I get a decent rom installed again? :S
Pls help! I don't know what to do anymore
Can anyone help me out here?
Flash a stock rom and start from scratch
Hey, I never got it to work with cyanogenmod on my galaxy s, but since you dont tell which phone u are using its a little difficult. Take a look here, there should be a guide.

Hi everyone,
Pardon me if I'm asking in the wrong place, this is my first thread.
I just bought Samsung Galaxy Young CDMA SCH i509 and successfully rooted it. I'm looking everywhere for any custom recovery like CWM or RZ to Nandroid backup my phone so I can safely start tinkering with it. Although lately I found a CWM custom recovery that is said to be compatible with my device, but when I tried to Nandroid backup it made some installed applications disappear. And when I roll back backed up image to verify the result, it made my phone boot in infinite loop.
My question is:
since I can't find any working recovery for my device, is it possible to just unpack another Samsung Galaxy recovery.img and edit some files in there or do I have to compile it from scratch? Because I'm tempted to just edit it but I don't know its partition layout and anything

I suppose maybe you should focus on the bootloop first? I don't know an answer though. Sorry.
Did I helped you? Click the THANKS button! My Galaxy Mini would like it, just like I do!
Hi there,
I need some help with my phone hoping to finds some help here..
recently my cousin tried updating my Samsung SII GT-I9100G Phone and now my phone is stuck in this CWM Recovery windows..
Can anyone help me here, I've been searching crazy all day long and tried various cyanogenmod versions but none did the trick.
I know the phone is rooted right and all.. because he did an update once successfully and it bootet the Android but he told me it was the wrong version so he tried it with another version and then suddenly the phone wouldn't boot right anymore.. so now it boots the CWM Recovery whole the time.
So if anyone please can help me or if anyone knows how i can restore the phone to the original Androir OS please tell me, getting desperate here -_-
Thanks!
Try this.

Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
Hi Boki thanks for the reply,
unfortunatly that won't work, because when I try to connect my phone on my PC it connects and disconnects repeatedly -_-
but maybe this might be of some information, after installing cm10 the CMW Recovery version is 6.0.1.1 but when I install cm9-RC1 it becomes version 5.5.0.4 and it changes from layout..
In the CMW Recovery menu you can make a Backup/Image of your phone.
Is it by any chance possible that I can download a Backup for the GT-I9100G from somewhere?? or is that only for recovering pictures and music and other unrelated things to the OS??
Go to mount and storage...format system and data...then try to flash the ROM made for your phone..
If unsuccessful...download stock ROM..flash using Odin..
Thnx guys I solved the problem
Hello XDA!
I am having problems returning my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7510 WiFi back to stock from CM9. I used Odin PC to flash the stock ROM. The operation completes successfully, and the tablet reboots, but never successfully boots past start-up. I have used this method with several other ROM's, and have never had this problem before. Can anyone please tell me if there are any additional steps I need to consider in order to roll back from Cyanogen Mod specifically.
Thank you in advance for all your help!

After installing the stock ROM, make sure you do a factory reset (wipe cache/data/dalvik).
Dear community,
To flash my phone, I followed this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118645
So I installed CWM Recovery, I rebooted into recovery, I did a backup of the phone, I wiped the phone and I installed the ROM provided. Unfortunately, my phone isn't working anymore (I think it is soft bricked as the start screen does pop up).
Loading the recovery however, did not work either.
What did I do wrong? How can I go back to my old Gingerbread OS or the CM 9.1?
Help would greatly be appreciated!
Edit: So right now I'm trying to follow the unbrick tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156
But does anyone have help for flashing the phone again? What did I forget?

unbrick
So, I tried to unbrick it but it seems to not be working with the tutorial here, so I used this:

So far, so good. Unbricked the phone now. But how do I flash it? I really want to get rid of my Gingerbread...
