I have searched and searched and can not figure out which Mainver I'm on? I went under about phone to software info and I don't think that's correct.
So how do I tell which Mainver I'm on?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

Get the phone in fastboot then connect it to your pc and type the following on your pc cmd prompt:
fastboot getvar all
Ok thanks!
Is there a way I can do it without a pc?

I'm not sure. After the OTA my software version matched the 2.x mainver but then I restored my nand and it is back to the 1.x version although my mainver is actually the 2.x.
If you haven't flashed an ICS ROM and haven't gotten the OTA you should be at 1.02.605.6.
If you haven't flashed an ICS ROM and you HAVE gotten the OTA you should be at 2.01.605.11.
If you have flashed an ICS ROM or I think the Bamf cubed ROM (but don't hold me to that, I just know it's a Bamf ROM that did it) you could be at 3.10.605.7 although I'm not certain if every ICS ROM does that, I haven't ventured into ICS land yet.
Got ya, thanks for the fast replies!

If you are s-on, you have to make sure the kernel/boot.img is flashed after you flash the ROM. If you are trying to flash an RUU, you have to be locked.
Also, if you are on ICS firmware and trying to run a GB ROM, you'll need to flash the newfirmware patch. http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/-Support_Files-/SuperChilPil/
Okay, So I've got s-off, unlocked, rooted, all of that stuff going on right now. I've been reading through and I'm so confused on how to upgrade from stock GB to ICS. I see so many methods for different roms, Can someone point me in the direction in I need to go? I'm currently running software number 2.01.605.11 w/ PRI 1.13_002, 1.88_002
Depends what you want to do....
If you dont care for new radios and such, flash an ics Rom of your choosing and then flash the old firmware patch.
If you want new radios run an ics ruu (2 times, 1st time only updates some stuff and you'll have issues unless you do it 2 times) then flash an ics Rom of your choosing.
Also upgrade to amon ra 3.15 if you are on an older version. 3.15 is updated for the changes in ics

Ok, I would like the latest RUU, but do I flash through recovery, or rename and flash through hboot or something?
EDIT: I currently am running Ra 3.15
Flash through hboot as a ph98IMG
Run it twice then you'll need to put amon ra 3.15 again.
I'll attach a copy of amon ra 3.15..... You can rename it to ph98img and flash it in bootloader the same way. Or you can use whatever way you prefer.

Thanks, That's what I thought. I use to be familiar with this when I was using my thunderbolt. But "upgraded" to the LG spectrum and there was absolutely no development for that phone for the 4 months I had it. So I lost touch. BTW never get that phone. I honestly hated it more than any apple product...which to me is a lot of hate
Ok, so I flashed the 3.14.605.5 Ice Cream Sandwich ZIP RUU, I'm still s-off, unlocked and running RA 3.15 . but now it saying I'm not rooted.
Can't you root it again through AmonRa??
I believe there is an issue with ICS. Just flash a rooted stock ROM.

I've been running MeanRom ICS. I wanted to give the sprint stock version a try. What's the best way to do this?
Thanks.
Oh, read the forums, I think about a gizzilion boot loops, problems, issue's

Well since you can't update ota if you are rooted, just find a stock rooted rom and flash it just like any other rom. As you SHOULD know from reading, you can't run the new kernel without the new hboot, so update to that if you want to use the new kernel.

The 2.4 version I do believe was based on the VM leak. His newest 2.6 version is based on the latest Sprint release, and works just great. I have been running it with no issues.
If you have S-off , you can upgrade the hboot and kernel to the latest. If not, you can leave the kernel and hboot you have and just flash the rom.
Just and idea.
Alright my phone is S-OFF, and I have been using newt's XXX rom. Yesterday I tried to update to the 4.0 version, and after I flashed and loaded up the rom, it rebooted. It does this about every 10 minutes or so. I have tried reflashing the rom, but have gotten no success. What do I do?
Redundant question but have you wiped properly?

Yes I have. Plus the rom is set to auto wipe when you flash it. I had no problems whatsoever until I tried to update to the newest version. This has me stumped
I would ask Newt if he changed anything significantly which would cause it since a clean flash didn't fix it. You could also try a different kernel in the mean time.
That does sound like kernel panic.. but if your using newts kernel that comes with the Rom it shouldn't be doing that.. I agree with the post above try another kernel. Also I'm assuming your on the latest firmware hboot2.27 and radio2.22? If not nun an ruu and try flashing your Rom again.

Update your firmware to the latest Ruu if you want to run xXx Rom correctly.
Running the incorrect radios week cause this with any rom. My signature should hold a link that'll lead you to an area to get that radio/firmware combo and get your in the right path.

Yeap definitely sounds like firmware. Is it noise activated? Or notifications seem to set it off?

I installed [ROM][Unofficial-AOKP] and while its nice some of the nuisances are frustrating. My previous phone was a DroidX so I could always just SBF back to stock no problems. But I am curious is there a way to go back to the an official ICS release by loading the PH98IMG.zip or whatever? I thought I heard once you went to an unofficial OTA you could never go back to pure stock if you were S-ON and I am okay with that I just want to get back to the last updated ICS that was available.
If I can just load the .zip what is the correct version and can someone point me to the download? Thanks.
You can go back to stock. You have to relock your bootloader by running "fastboot oem lock" from fastboot, and then reflash the stock RUU.
If you never updated past the Verizon OTA, you can get the 3.14.605.12 file from this site, rename it to PH98IMG.zip on your external SD, relock, and flash.

Cool, thanks.
You didn't make a nandroid backup of your existing rom before you installed a new rom? You should start if you didn't, that way if you installed a rom you end up not liking, you can just restore your previous one without needing to re-set up your phone all over again.
Stay root and flash Neo's simplistic 3.0 rom. It is a debloated version of the stock rom. It's not as smooth as jellybean but is about as stable as you can get.

So I found this thread and I haven't been to JellyBean on my Rezound yet. Currently running Hawks latest EclipticRez and Snuzzo's latest Kernel which is dope.
1) Can I just make a full Nandroid of my current rom, then flash Neo's Inception 2.5 to try out jellybean?
2) If I want to go back to ICS Sense, can I just restore my nandroid?
It seems that simple, but I dont want a brick and wanted to confirm that I can go back to ICS.
Thank you.

As long as you are S-OFF yes.
If you are S-on you'll have to reflash the boot.img of the ROM you started from/restore back to.
