Hi!
I would like to know and possibly get some help on how to intercept incoming calls by adding a prefix like 19299 on incoming, and * on outgoing.
I have built and compiled an .apk file witch force closes for no apparent reason on launch.
When compiled it compiles without any errors.
Is it even possible to monitor incoming calls on public API level?
Or is that an API that is closed off?
if the API is available, is it then possiblo to add said prefix both on incoming and outgoing calls?

I saw a pretty interesting topic at the SGS2 forum, where users complain that after removing the Name id application they cannot add call, create conference call, or put call on hold. They dont specifically mention ecid.apk by name, but i believe this is the apk for this application, so can anyone who have it removed tell if he or she has experienced the same issues after its uninstall?
Thanks
Yes, This is a known issue. There is something within the apk that allows you to make and receive multiple calls. If you do not have it installed your calls will fail.
If anyone is interested in developing a custom dialer.apk. please contact me.
i need some features implemented that nor standard or custom dialer from market can provide.
I need to be abple to have a "dial out" feature with a set prefix on a contact i pick from contacts list.
Said prefix is >=5 digits and must be customizable.
I want to be able to pick up an incoming call, put that on hold, open contacts select number, dial out with prefix and hang up the calls. like forwarding a call.
Please contact me in thread or by PM.
I will pay for functioning product.

Dear users,
i'm a new junior developer with no experience on Android.
I would like to ask you (skilled developers) if you think is possible to find a way to develop an app to intercept incoming calls and forward/divert them to another a Google talk, Skype etc. or voip extension through a phone's internet connection (wifi, hsdpa..).
In case is not possible with the official functions, can be done on rooted phones?
[In case there is not chance It maybe possible using a trick/automation like intercept the incoming calls and use the installed app (skype..) to call another contact and forward the voice]
Thanks in advance and sorry if i missed some already present similar thread (i didn t find any)
Hi folks,
I was studying how to process a call internally in android. I found that in android 2.3 Google blocked some 'background' API that developers used to answer and decline calls.
But, i found that some apps around web have functionality of blocking or answering calls. But i didn't found how to make a specific action that is just ignore some call, without user interaction.
What is ignoring a call?
Let the incoming call ringing for the other-side caller, but doesn't display nothing on my android phone.
I know some developers around here know how to do that, so please, give me some tip. I want to know how to do that programmatically.
PS: I don't know if i'm asking in the correct forum, please say yes
Thanks and Peace.
Idk where to post this, but I'll pay for someone to create a custom call screening app that anyone (most likely rooted) can use instead of Google's call screener.
The call screener should be able to answer all calls that aren't from numbers in your contacts. And it simply and respectfully asks who's calling, and gives you a transcription of what they said and an option to send to VM or answer the call.
